00:00 the haze. Nothing you can't see ahead. I mean, you can't see the mountain for
00:03 nearly four days now. Smoke and haze have persistent affecting residents
00:08 and travelers near the Mojave National Preserve area and San Bernardino
00:12 County. It's scary. Fire takes over and you can't control it, especially when
00:16 it's high winds. So people's lives are, you know, at stake. The people fighting
00:21 the fires, it's hazard fire and wind is not mixed. On Monday, officials
00:26 established a command post at Prim Valley Convention Center. Mark people's
00:31 with intra agency incident management says Sunday's monsoon winds slow down
00:36 the fire. The fire is still at 77,000 acres as of this morning. It's 0%
00:42 contained, although we're hopeful that we're gonna get some containment here
00:45 over the next several hours and into tomorrow. In the following days, people
00:49 says the exact location of the fire is about 10 to 15 miles from searchlight
00:54 and an area called Creston Peak. 260 personnel are engaged in fighting the
00:59 fire operating on day and night shifts. This is a full suppression fire, 100%
01:05 full suppression. The guys are going after it really, really hard. Um, you
01:08 know, but also with that, you know, we're in the National Preserve, right?
01:11 And so that's delicate land, right? It's got a lot of cultural, it's got a
01:18 lot of environmental, a lot of unique ecosystems, those types of things. Uh,
01:23 and so we're being light on the land with our tactics. You know, we're not
01:26 going in there with bulldozers and going crazy.
