04:12 [Music]
04:33 When exactly was the moment when you knew it was coming?
04:37 About a week or two ago, you know.
04:39 They stayed in contact with me every day.
04:41 If it wasn't one coach, it was another coach.
04:43 And every time they brought me out on campus, it made me feel at home.
04:46 It made me feel comfortable to be there.
04:48 Was it one-sided back that pushed it over, or was this the entire environment?
04:52 It was the entire environment.
04:54 Every time I stepped on campus, it made me feel at home.
04:56 It wasn't just one time that they wanted to bring me.
04:58 They brought me up there multiple times to show me that they wanted me there.
05:01 What's your relationship like with Coach Hall, Coach Olaj, why do you want to go to this club?
05:05 My relationship with Coach Hall and Coach Olaj is very strong.
05:08 I love both of those coaches.
05:09 They're both amazing coaches.
05:11 Every time I step in there, I step in the office, all we do is talk ball.
05:14 They always talk about how high my IQ is.
05:16 I love both those coaches.
05:18 They're amazing coaches, and I look forward to being coached by them.
05:21 Now that you're officially announced, what's this next few weeks going to be like
05:24 for you working on Caden and David?
05:26 It's going to be something.
05:28 Caden's hard to read.
05:29 David, I can get to him every now and then.
05:32 It's going to be a good next few weeks.
05:36 What's it going to look like when you get to campus?
05:38 I assume they're bringing you in to play defensive back.
05:40 Have they said which way they want you to go, safety cornerback?
05:44 Because you are so versatile.
05:45 I'm playing safety when I get there.
05:47 Whatever DB position I've got to play to get on the field, I'm playing.
05:51 When you're looking at your skill set, how would you describe it to those who haven't seen you play?
05:56 I'm very smart on the field.
05:58 Smart reads, I'm physical, I like hitting.
06:01 Everything about my game is good.
06:03 How do you think your friend, Ben, will be?
06:06 I fit very good.
06:07 I've seen a lot of DBs who play there, especially safeties.
06:11 Some of them aren't the biggest.
06:12 Some of them are.
06:13 They got--it's kind of even on both sides.
06:16 And how they play, which I'm familiar with already, I like it there.
06:20 What do you think, for you personally, as an OK Preps guy,
06:23 do you see yourself as a leader for not just your class, but with the local kids,
06:28 with classes 25, 26, and above, somebody they can look up to moving forward?
06:33 Definitely.
06:34 Most definitely.
06:35 I definitely do see myself being a leader as classes behind me, not just for this class.
06:41 Have you guys talked to other defensive back units in your 2024 class and what's your relationship like with them?
06:47 Yes, I have.
06:48 Jayden Harden, we have a pretty strong relationship.
06:50 Me and JJ, we haven't talked much, but Jayden Harden, we have a pretty strong relationship.
06:54 Every time we see each other, it's always good talks and what we want to do in life.
06:58 How do you think y'all's play style fits in?
07:00 We're both very smart on the field.
07:02 I'm just more physical than he is.
07:04 He got smart reads, of course.
07:05 You know, he's an amazing player.
07:06 He plays both sides of the ball, just like me.
07:08 He's an amazing football player.
07:10 You talk about the way you target group text that you guys are in.
07:14 How active is that and how hard do you guys push some of the guys at Harden?
07:18 Is it just regular old talk?
07:21 Some of the time it's regular old talk, but other times we talk about playing at OU.
07:25 We talk about the other schools that's on the run with us.
07:28 It's always good talks.
07:29 It's always good laughs.
07:30 You know, it's never a doom moment with them.
07:33 There's never no arguing going on.
07:34 It's always good talks with them.
07:35 So, I look forward to playing with a lot of them on the group chat.
07:38 You mentioned David Stone.
07:40 What is your relationship like with him?
07:42 How cool or special would it be if you guys could play together?
07:46 We've talked about this for a while, playing together since 8U.
07:50 I met him 8U in Dale City Eagles.
07:52 We played together all the way up to 12U.
07:54 We've been close ever since.
07:56 And we always talk about playing together.
07:59 We wanted to play together senior year.
08:01 Unfortunately, that's not happening.
08:03 But me and him are real tight, real close.
08:05 What were your emotions like when you made that call to Coach Reynolds?
08:09 Did you see him pop over?
08:11 Emotions was high, you know.
08:13 Energy was high.
08:14 You know, kind of nauseous, kind of nervous.
08:16 But, hey, got the job done.
08:19 What's the excitement level like playing in the SEC?
08:21 It's amazing.
08:22 Like, that's where I want to be.
08:24 I want to play the best of the best, you know.
08:25 I don't want to stoop down a level.
08:27 I want to go up right at it freshman year against the best people out there.
08:30 So, obviously, can you add David Stone?
08:33 Are there any other targets that are trying to get you on campus for 2024 class?
08:36 Yes, Nigel Smith, William Noir, and Michael Galko Nowski.
08:43 How important was it for you to get this done before your season starts?
08:47 It was important, you know, because once I got this done
08:50 and I knew where I wanted to be, I pulled the trigger.
08:53 And I was like, "It's time."
08:54 You know, I don't want to have to worry about anything during the season,
08:57 any worries or anything.
08:58 I want to be able to have a smooth and fresh senior year and get through it.
09:02 You know, this last round, you know, you got to give it all.
09:05 You got to put everything into it, every ounce.
09:08 What's it like to see anybody's game?
09:11 That's amazing, you know.
09:13 He went there, but, you know, I'm going to just do it better than he did.
09:17 You talked about the party at the college.
09:20 You were talking about there were a couple of guys that were just elite freaks
09:24 that were there.
09:25 Yes.
09:26 Can you name a couple of those for everybody?
09:28 DeMond Mitchell, oh, my goodness.
09:29 That's just like a top-tier, crazy, athletic guy.
09:33 Him being that big and being able to move like that and go up and dunk like that,
09:37 that's crazy.
09:38 Yeah, he can move.
09:40 He can move around a lot for his size.
