Area near London Eye cordoned off due to ‘suspicious package’

York Road near Waterloo Station has been cordoned off by the Metropolitan Police on Monday evening amid reports of a suspicious package.The road, near County Hall and South Bank tourist hotspots including the London Eye, was sealed off by a police van around 6pm, video footage of the scene shows.
