00:00 A daredevil has been killed after falling from the top of the 721-feet-high skyscraper
00:11 that he had been scaling while on location in Hong Kong.
00:15 Remilio Sidi, who was 30 years old, had a history of climbing various towers around
00:21 the world, whether they be buildings or more obscure structures such as cranes, bridges,
00:27 pylons or even transmitters.
00:29 Lucidi, known as Remy in NGMAO on social media, had reached the 68th floor of the 721-foot
00:37 Fregenta Tower, a residential block in Hong Kong's upscale Mid-Levels area, before his
00:43 fatal fall.
00:44 The young adventurer had been seen by a maid knocking on the windows of the penthouse to
00:49 get back inside the building, but he fell to his death before any help could arrive.
00:55 On the evening of his death last Thursday, Frenchman Lucidi had arrived at the tower
00:59 at 7.30pm, telling a security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor.
01:06 The resident, whom he named, has since denied knowing the thrill-seeker and was simply a
01:11 ruse for Lucidi to bypass security.
01:15 Building surveillance camera footage then sees Lucidi getting out of the elevator on
01:20 the 49th floor before taking the stairs to the very top on Level 68.
01:25 Although the door of the rooftop was locked, but Lucidi forced it open, determined to take
01:31 another photograph from the roof.
01:34 Many of the photos posted on his Instagram sees him clinging to the spires of tall buildings
01:39 and he may have been attempting to do the same when he fell.
01:43 He was not found until his body was back on the ground.
01:48 Police found his sports camera, which contained videos of the extreme sports he had been doing,
01:54 according to the South China Morning Post.
01:57 On Instagram, Lucidi shared photos and videos of his climbing adventures with his more than
02:02 4,000 followers.
02:04 Recent posts saw him posing at the top of high-rise scaffolding and buildings in countries
02:09 across the globe, including Dubai, Bulgaria and France.
02:13 Much of the footage shows him taking on the daring climbs without the use of any safety
02:19 harnesses.
02:20 In one piece of stomach-turning footage, he can be seen balancing on the edge of a 980-foot-high
02:27 chimney in France.
02:29 Six days before his death, Lucidi, who described himself as a Hong Kong-based photographer,
02:35 posted a photo from Times Square in Causeway Bay.
02:38 Police found his passport and other belongings at the hostel.
02:42 The French consulate has been informed of Lucidi's death as a police investigation into
02:47 the incident continues.
