Birmingham men jailed after selling uncertified coronavirus test kits shown here

Ron Huss-Smickler, 41, and Steven Beckford, 39, from Birmingham, began selling these fake coronavuris test kits during March 2020

00:05 You get the testing kit itself and pipette, then you have the buffer solution, you have the alcohol

00:12 pad wipes and then you also have the lancet. You'll take your index finger, you'll prick it,

00:18 it'll wipe away just the first bit of blood and then there should be kind of like a good drop of

00:22 blood there. Then you take the pipette which you'll put onto your finger to get the blood out.

00:30 Then with the blood that's inside the pipette you'll put into the device. This is a buffer

00:39 solution which we need to open up and then just put a further one or two drops of the buffer

00:43 solution which kind of like buffers and spreads the blood out so the tests can actually get a

00:48 good reading. As you guys know in the human body when you get sick antibodies are basically produced

00:55 to fight off certain illnesses and depending on a particular illness a particular antibody will be

01:00 there. The second line and the third line above the C they represent the two antibodies in the

01:06 human body that will be activated to fight off the coronavirus. At the end of the 15 minutes if

01:12 you just see the control line C then that means that you are corona free. If you do the test and

01:20 there is no control line at all then that test was inconclusive you'd have to kind of do the test

01:25 again and just put in some more blood put in some more buffer solution. In the event that you do have

01:30 corona you will definitely see the second line or the third line come up or even both. Either way

01:36 even if you see just one of those lines come up that does confirm that you are positive for the

01:42 coronavirus. Fortunately after the 15 minutes it has confirmed that I do not have corona

01:48 now I feel like I can cough in public guilt free.
