00:00 are we doing this? We're raising as much money as physically possible for Sheffield Children's
00:04 Hospital. Yeah, got a great day planned. Loads of golf, loads of auction prizes, loads of fun,
00:11 loads of cash raised. It'll be good. We're both very passionate supporters of Sheffield Children's
00:16 Hospital. I've been a patron for a long time and Danny's been a big supporter because we're both
00:22 from Sheffield, well I live in Sheffield now, we're both dads and we know how important it is for our
00:27 kids but also the thousands of other kids not just in Sheffield but around the UK and around the
00:31 world so anything we can do to support that and you know Danny's an unbelievable brilliant golfer
00:37 and we've been... Thank you. Thank you. We've won that Masters thing haven't we? And we're both
00:43 big supporters of the charity so we thought we'd come together, invite as many people as we could,
00:48 do it at Robber and Golf Club and try and raise as much money as we can.
00:51 And have you got a target of how much you'd like to raise?
00:55 Yes. No, well we have. We just got told that they built a six million pound helipad last year,
00:59 I think we might struggle with that just on one day but it's about just literally just as much as
01:03 possible. Get people in their pockets, they're gonna have a great day and yeah and fingers
01:09 crossed it can be a pretty number at the end of it. We've had big plans and I've done a golf day
01:14 for many years pre-covid for Children's Hospital and average golf day is raised somewhere between
01:19 five and six thousand pounds. Our plans are much bigger than that so we'd like to get five figures
01:24 we'd like to get at least comfortably five figures. Because you know days like this do make a
01:29 difference and you look at the number of people who've turned up to support whether that's paying
01:33 to play in it or you know just volunteers, people who are giving us prizes, just people involved in
01:39 the day and hopefully I can't see one person who's not smiling in the background so that's great.
01:43 It's going to be a really good day and they get to see Danny between the golf club as well.
01:47 David Seaman, what are we doing here today? Well I mean I'm here with my brother. My brother
01:53 obviously lives in Rotherham and this is his local club and I'm playing in Danny Willett and Dan
01:57 walks the golf day which is weird because my brother invited me not Dan so I'm like right
02:04 where was my invite? You're a plus one. I know I'm a plus one of my brother so I'm happy about that but
02:11 I get to come back to Rotherham. I came up yesterday and we went out for a local Indian
02:16 restaurant to a local Indian restaurant and it was fun you know so I'm looking forward to this.
02:20 Hopefully it stays dry and we'll have some good fun I'm sure. Yes fingers crossed but how does it
02:26 feel to be here? What does it mean to you to be supporting the charity? It's nice you know it's
02:30 raising awareness trying to raise as much money as possible. Apparently some of it one of the
02:35 teams has arrived in helicopters and they've got cash so that will be useful in the ocean I'm sure.
02:41 Yes definitely. Are you going to be sticking around for the barbecue later? Yeah I'll be
02:46 free food on the ocean. I'll get my meal and then I'm going home.
02:49 Fantastic and do you play much golf in general? I play a bit of golf. I used to play a lot of golf.
02:59 I love my fishing you know so my spare time is spent doing my fishing. I played at Loch Lomond
03:05 last week and I didn't play very well and it was a gorgeous place you know so hopefully my game's a
03:10 little bit better today. But who knows it's golf it's so frustrating that's why I go fishing.
03:17 What are you doing here today? Well I'm here to support my friend Dan, Dan Walker and also to
03:25 help out with a wonderful charity the Sheffield Children's Hospital charity. They're doing amazing
03:30 things so we're getting to play golf too. Why wouldn't I be here? Are you quite an active golf
03:37 player? I play golf all the time. When I'm on tour I play every day and when I'm home I play when I'm
03:42 allowed. When I'm allowed out of the house. So do you have quite a competitive streak in you?
03:47 Yeah I enjoy my golf but yeah once I tee off and whoever I'm playing against I'm normally pretty
03:53 competitive against them. Yeah I've got a pretty competitive nature in general.
03:56 Mainly I'm here to support Dan and obviously this charity means a lot to Dan and I think that's how
04:02 most of us do it. We get into something that we love. I'm actually the president now of the
04:08 Bubble Foundation in Newcastle and I do the same thing. Whenever I have a golf day or something I
04:13 call on my friends people like Dan and we come and help each other out. So anyone that knows Dan
04:17 knows he's a great guy and if this means something to Dan well then we're going to get behind it and
04:21 help him out.
