00:00 This is the brand new Samsung QN900C 8K Neo QLED TV, and it is the best of the best of
00:07 what Samsung's mini LED TV lineup has to offer for 2023.
00:11 Let's go take a closer look.
00:24 We're looking at the 75-inch configuration.
00:26 It also comes in 65 inches, but it's really the larger sizes, like 75 and 85 inches, where
00:32 upgrading to an 8K TV actually make a noticeable difference for your viewing.
00:37 Whoa, wait, this is sick.
00:39 The QN900C looks pretty similar to Samsung's other Neo QLED TVs at a glance.
00:44 Something to note is that it has the One Connect box, while the 4K QLED TVs do not.
00:49 The box basically offloads the ports into this detachable unit that helps with cable
00:53 management.
00:54 This would look really nice mounted up on a wall, with the box tucked into a console
00:58 or other access point that's more convenient for port access for that full array of HDMI
01:02 2.1 inputs.
01:04 In terms of performance, this TV is powered by the Neural Quantum Processor 8K, which
01:08 should upscale content to 8K quality and, of course, thrive with native 8K content.
01:13 You don't think that looks incredible?
01:16 Look at the salt.
01:18 No, there's still not an abundance of 8K content out there, but there's also not a total lack.
01:23 The precision and picture quality is pretty surreal.
01:25 Based on this hands-on experience, I'm seeing plenty of refinement, even in scenes with
01:29 a lot of contrasting colors.
01:31 Plus, off-angle, all those details hold up.
01:35 Now we have run some early performance tests, and while I won't get too much into detail,
01:39 I will say brightness is another standout quality of overall performance.
01:43 We measured about 2,400 nits in a 10% window, which is absolutely top-notch.
01:49 As for sound, you know if you're committing to this setup, you'll probably get a soundbar.
01:53 But why that's good is because of an upgrade to Samsung's Q-Symphony sound feature.
01:59 This feature combines the TV's speakers with the soundbar, and now it uses neural networks
02:03 to better differentiate the sound layers.
02:06 Otherwise, pretty standard ties-in platform, but the remote is a bit different across all
02:10 Samsung 2023 TVs.
02:12 It's smaller and smoother.
02:13 It reminds me a bit of the Apple TV remote, actually, but you still have some dedicated
02:17 app launchers.
02:19 This 75-inch model of the QN900C will cost $6,299, which is a good chunk of change more
02:26 than the same sizes for Samsung's 4K Neo QLED flagships.
02:30 Are you just a little bit more convinced that it's time to get an AKTV?
