00:00 - I think it's important to understand
00:01 we typically load our body with carbohydrates
00:04 and sugar in the morning, whether it's sweetened coffees,
00:07 teas, muffins, bagels, cereal, pancakes,
00:10 whatever I could go on and on,
00:12 you know what I'm talking about.
00:14 We really need to be eating fat and protein,
00:16 particularly protein.
00:17 So protein is really important to eat on a fasted state
00:19 'cause that activates our stem cells,
00:20 it creates muscle synthesis,
00:22 builds our muscle mass,
00:24 which is critical to healthy longevity and function.
00:27 So I basically, I use regeneratively raised goat whey.
00:30 I use about 40 grams of goat whey.
00:32 I put in creatine, about five to 10 grams of creatine.
00:36 I put in probiotics.
00:37 I put in something called urolithin A,
00:39 that's something known as MitoPure,
00:40 which is a compound from pomegranate
00:42 that helps activate mitochondrial regeneration.
00:45 So our energy centers, the mitochondria
00:47 are the little factories in our cells that make energy
00:49 and they decline as we age.
00:51 So I use MitoPure, which helps to clean up our mitochondria,
00:54 build new mitochondria, reduce inflammation,
00:56 has all these wonderful benefits.
00:58 I put in, I say probiotics as well,
01:02 and I put in my gut food product,
01:05 which is essentially a pre-probiotic and polyphenol blend.
01:08 And I kind of mix it all up.
01:10 I take my shake and then I usually take
01:13 my morning supplements and I include a whole cocktail
01:16 of things I include in my book, "Young Forever,"
01:18 including a multi-official vitamin D.
01:20 Also take B vitamins 'cause I have some genetics
01:22 related to methylation, which is important for longevity.
01:26 So I've checked my genetics, I know how to optimize my biology.
