‘Hands-off, eyes on’: Ford deploys 'hands-free' driving in cars on UK motorways

Driving hands-free on the motorway is now possible in the UK.

00:22 And now that's changed to comfort and relaxation and

00:37 So it's great to see, and it's really pushing forward.

00:51 The first thing the system's doing is monitoring the

00:55 So it's looking at vehicles ahead.

00:56 It's looking at vehicles behind us to the side and left.

01:00 And it's also looking at me.

01:01 It's looking at, am I looking at you, or

01:04 am I looking at the road?

01:06 And it's making a decision as to how it should drive, the

01:10 speed, the distance, and then continuing us and keeping us

01:16 along, cruising along appropriately.

01:18 So it's a combination of different sensors and systems

01:22 to enable the vehicle to continue to cruise along.
