00:00 With this week and what it holds,
00:02 like, I want to know, how do you feel about being
00:06 in an interracial relationship?
00:08 And I want to elaborate on, like,
00:12 why that's so important to me and, yeah,
00:15 like, just my past relationship and kind of diving into that.
00:19 It was a relationship that did start off very great,
00:21 but I think it was almost, like, inevitable
00:24 that, like, when we would go out,
00:25 like, it's just the things that, like, you just face.
00:28 Yeah.
00:28 It's unfortunate, but, like, that's just the times
00:30 that we still live in.
00:32 And so with this person, I think it was--
00:34 it just boiled down to the lack of awareness
00:36 and, unfortunately, ignorance of, like,
00:39 these things don't matter when, in fact, they actually do.
00:42 Yeah.
00:43 And I just didn't see that effort.
00:46 I could sit here and ask a million questions,
00:49 but it wouldn't change the fact of what
00:51 it would feel like to actually be put in that instance.
00:54 It's not something that I want to say
00:56 it's going to be easy because it's not, like--
00:58 even as an individual, like, without a partnership,
01:00 like, navigating life as a black woman,
01:03 it's not something I ever want to apologize for because that's
01:05 who I am and the person that I'm with should be willing
01:09 and wanting to embrace all of that,
01:11 no more educate themselves, and attempt to try to truly--
01:18 Just to try to listen and learn because I do want kids.
01:23 I do want to build a life together.
01:25 And if that's going to be the case,
01:28 it's as much going to be part of my story as it is yours.
01:31 Absolutely.
01:32 But I can also understand with the fact
01:34 that I have never dated a black woman
01:36 and the idea of bringing you home.
01:38 I know my family.
01:39 Like, they understand that love is love.
01:43 They truthfully look at what's on the inside.
01:45 And they're the most loving people I know in this world.
01:48 And if they don't see that in you, then they're crazy.
01:52 But I don't think it's something I'll
01:55 be able to learn until we try to conquer that together.
01:57 Yeah.
01:58 And I do see you for the entire you of who you are.
02:03 And I never want you to doubt that I can
02:06 be someone like that for you.
02:07 Thank you.
02:08 That-- that means a lot.
02:13 I mean every word.
02:14 I know.
02:15 I know.
02:16 That's, like, scary sometimes.
02:31 I'm sorry.
02:32 No, it's real.
02:33 Thank you.
02:34 Do you want a hug?
02:35 Yeah, yeah.
02:37 Of course you'd cry.
02:38 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:41 I look like you're tired.
02:55 I know.
02:55 OK.
02:56 I think sometimes, like, I let my fears of what I've seen
03:03 and what I've witnessed and what the world is,
03:07 like, it's overwhelming at times.
03:09 But I think with the right person,
03:12 it's like anything is possible.
03:14 And love will truly triumph over everything.
03:18 Joey's fantastic.
03:21 He's giving me, literally, so much.
03:26 It's just like it's one of those things
03:28 that you know it's right.
03:29 And we got nothing but happy tears.
03:32 Really happy, happy tears.
03:37 [CRYING]
03:40 This is, like, the first time I've cried like this, so.
03:42 That says a lot.
