00:00 Doja Cat is losing fans after she called out some of her supporters and told them to go get a job.
00:04 Yeah, there's a lot to get into here.
00:06 Doja Cat is coming under fire for a recent slew of insults that she hurled towards some of her fans.
00:15 And even though she since deleted the tweets, the fallout is just beginning.
00:19 It's Madison Hill reporting with all the details.
00:21 Over the weekend, Doja Cat posted a series of since-deleted tweets calling out some of her fans for wanting to name themselves "kittens."
00:28 It's not totally abnormal that artists' fan base will give themselves a name.
00:32 For example, Taylor Swift fans are Swifties, Selena Gomez fans are Selenators.
00:37 You get it.
00:38 So while Doja Cat fans wanting to call themselves "kittens" might sound odd at first, it's actually pretty standard these days.
00:43 However, Doja's response to this situation was not.
00:46 As you can see, Doja's first threat in response to her fans calling themselves "kittens" was, quote,
00:51 "My fans don't get to name themselves 'b**t.'
00:53 If you call yourself a kitten or f**k kittens, that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house."
01:00 Now, if you're thinking that's kind of a harsh way to speak to people who support you and give you the lifestyle that you live, you're not alone.
01:06 Fans immediately started questioning Doja's post, especially given the fact that Doja has referred to her fans as "kittens" before.
01:13 So her freaking out about that definitely now made things even more confusing.
01:17 In addition to that post, one of Doja's fan accounts who had "kitten" in their username, respectfully asked Doja what they should change their name to,
01:24 since she, quote, "didn't like the term 'kitten.'"
01:27 Doja then responded to this fan saying, quote, "Just delete the entire account and rethink everything. It's never too late."
01:33 Now, I know at this point you're thinking, "There is no way Doja Cat could insult her fans any more than these two instances."
01:39 However, she wasn't done.
01:41 Another fan followed up with the "Say So" singer on thread saying,
01:44 "I want to hear you say, 'I do love you guys,' as usual, you say to your fans."
01:49 And while this could have been an easy way for Doja Cat to rectify the situation, she once again chose savageness,
01:55 as she not-so-lovingly responded to this fan saying, "I don't though, 'cause I don't even know y'all."
02:00 Now, despite Doja Cat deleting those harsh interactions with her fans, that hasn't stopped people from calling her out for being rude to those who support her and her career.
02:08 This is something the woman performer might want to reconsider, especially given the fact she recently announced she's hitting the road starting in October.
02:15 Doja Cat's "The Scarlet" tour marks her first ever North American arena tour and first overall string of official headlining concerts since 2019.
02:24 And if she's not careful, there might not be any fans to fill those seats.
02:28 Because keep in mind, this isn't the first time Doja Cat has offended her fans.
02:32 Back in May, she took to social media and claimed that her last two albums she released were money grabs.
02:36 And even more recently, she started blocking those who criticized her relationship with the controversial former Vine star and Twitch streamer, J. Cyrus.
02:44 Now, only time will tell if Doja Cat's fans who took her advice and got a job will want to spend their hard-earned money on her alleged mediocre pop.
02:51 That's the latest on Doja Cat, you guys.
