00:00 Great to see you both. Yeah, I'm really good. I've had up days and down days, but that is
00:06 very much an up day. I was given the choice initially of what hospital I wanted to use.
00:14 My first experience of palliative care in a hospice was blood transfusions. I had my
00:22 first blood transfusion in hospital, and then I was invited to use the hospice. And I thought,
00:29 well, I'll give it a go. And just as a day patient, and I went into this lovely room,
00:36 biscuits piled up in the desk beside me, and I just dipped in and out. And I implore people
00:47 to check out the hospice. If you've got the choice of using it, then use it. As Dr. Runge
00:55 said, it's a service provided not wholly by the NHS. My hospice is majority funded privately.
01:07 They have, I mean, I'm sure we'll talk about it later, but you have a right to a choice
01:14 of a hospice if you so wish. And I would encourage people to at least explore that option, because
01:20 it's not this doom and gloom operation that you might think it was.
