The front of the new car retains the typical Volkswagen style. The new mono-shaped dynamic upper grille is larger, embedded with dot matrix texture for decoration, LED headlights on both sides and the sporty darkened lower bumper make the visual effect a little more refined. The contours of the headlights integrate with the car logo through two powerful chrome-plated grille strips, creating a youthful overall shape.
Lavida's cutting-edge car side proportions tend to be compact and smooth, and multiple waistlines running through the front and rear bring rich light and shadow effects that enhance multiple layers. In terms of body size, the new car's length, width and height are 4561/1740/1494 mm and 2651 mm respectively, which is 117 mm shorter and 37 mm shorter than the current Lavida.
The rear design of the car is similar to other models of the Lavida family. The design of the LED taillights was inspired by the shape of the arrow feathers. The multi-layered light strips are embedded with chrome-plated decorative strips and the shape is quite unique.
LaVida XR also offers 5 body colors to choose from: turquoise blue, cat's eye blue, coral red, jade white and obsidian black.
The Lavida's cutting-edge cockpit design still retains a very classic Volkswagen family style, with the steering wheel being replaced with an ID-like style.
LaVida XR did not pursue a magnificent sense of technology and a huge central control screen. The standard 8-inch full LCD digital instrument and 8-inch multi-touch screen of the entire series can be considered as meeting the needs of daily use. The Internet of Vehicles system adopts a relatively simple version, but has very practical functions such as wireless CarPlay and Car Life, which are sufficient for many users.
In terms of other configurations, the new car has features such as cruise control, keyless entry system, automatic folding exterior mirrors, reverse vision, parking radar, AEB automatic brake lights, 6 airbags.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine codenamed EA211 with a maximum power of 110 hp (81 kW), a maximum torque of 141 Nm and a 6-speed automatic manual transmission. The chassis adopts a front MacPherson + rear torsion beam structure.
