00:27 First of all I want to say thank you to everybody that's prayed man and sent me messages.
00:33 I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back.
00:44 I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through.
00:49 And I know a lot of people were waiting, you know, or wanting to hear updates, but to be
00:54 honest with you, I just didn't want you to see me like that man.
00:58 You know, I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing
01:03 a movie, television show.
01:04 I didn't want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was
01:18 going to make it through.
01:22 In the candid video, the 55-year-old thanks his sister, Deidre Dixon, and daughter Corinne
01:26 for saving his life.
01:28 And to be honest with you, my sister Deidre Dixon, my daughter Corinne Marie saved my
01:34 life.
01:35 So to them, to God, to a lot of great medical people, I'm able to leave you this video.
01:46 I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way.
01:51 And y'all know they kept it airtight.
01:53 They didn't let nothing out.
01:54 They protected me.
01:55 And that's what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these.
02:01 In the three-minute clip, Jamie also shuts down rumors about his health, clarifying that
02:05 he is not blind or paralyzed.
02:08 Now, you know, by being quiet, sometimes things, you know, get out of hand.

02:15 Some people said I was I was blind.
02:17 But as you can see, as you can see, the eyes are working, eyes are working just fine.

02:25 I'm not paralyzed.
02:27 But I did go through.
02:28 I went to hell and back.
02:31 And my road to recovery had some potholes as well.
02:34 But I'm I'm coming back and I'm able to work.
02:41 While looking back at the scary situation, Jamie got emotional, explaining how his fans
02:46 really helped him through the difficult time.
02:48 I just want to say that I that I love everybody and I love all the love that I got.

03:06 And if you see me out from now on and every once in a while, I just burst into tears because

03:23 Jamie ended his video by emphasizing what he hopes he will be remembered for.

04:35 My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating.
04:37 In fact, he was playing picket ball yesterday.
