00:00 Hi guys and welcome to Drivespark, I'm Prameet and what you see over here is the all-new
00:10 Kia Seltos 2.0.
00:12 Now, this car carries a starting price of Rs. 10.99 and goes all the way up to the Rs.
00:17 20 lakh mark and this is available in seven variants, it's got five gearbox options and
00:22 Kia has done a lot of changes to this than the previous generation Seltos.
00:26 So let's quickly start this video and I'll tell you everything you need to know about
00:30 the all-new Kia Seltos.
00:31 So now let's start off with the front end of the car and the very first change that
00:44 you will notice are these DRLs.
00:45 Now the DRL placement has been changed, before that the DRLs used to run along over here
00:50 and the Kia logo was right over here, but now you can see that the DRL has split and
00:54 it has come down over here, plus you also get a new grille, this is the GT line, so
00:58 obviously the GT badging was here that is missing right now, but what has been added
01:02 is this, now you get this ADAS radar over here, obviously there's a camera and this
01:06 car also features a 360-degree camera feature, so obviously this is the front parking camera
01:11 for that and yeah, so this is the ADAS radar and that's the newest addition for this, other
01:17 than that, if you see, it gets some amount of chrome, obviously it has chrome on top,
01:21 it has chrome on down and the headlight unit looks really really fantastic, plus you get
01:25 this new indicator that has a three-slot indicator and it is a dynamic swipe indicator, looks
01:31 really fantastic, you have the Kia logo right over here and you have a silver scuff plate,
01:35 so this is actually how the front end looks like.
01:37 Now moving on to the side profile, again, you will see that the alloy wheel design has
01:42 been changed, now the alloy wheel, this, what you see over here on the GT line is the 18-inch
01:46 alloy wheel, you also get 16 and 17s depending on the variant you choose and you also get
01:52 body cladding, moving along, you get some chrome accents on the door handles, you get
01:57 chrome accents on the window trim, body coloured ORVM, again a 360-degree camera feature, so
02:02 you have cameras on the ORVM, you get functional roof rails that are flush with the roof and
02:08 you get a panoramic sunroof over here, which we'll be showing it to you from the inside,
02:12 you also get a shark fin antenna and you get some body lines and pieces that run from the
02:16 headlight all the way to the taillight and the split in between.
02:19 So now, let's move on to the rear section and let me tell you what all has changed over
02:25 here, so again, the very first thing that you will notice is this gets a black spoiler,
02:29 this white basically has a lot of black elements in it, so it's looking kind of cool, so this
02:33 has a black spoiler, that's the shark fin antenna, you get a wiper with the washer,
02:36 you also get defoggers and the new thing that has been added are these connected taillights
02:41 as you can see, so the taillight is again completely LED and you can see that this joins
02:46 till here, till the Kia logo, you also get a rear parking camera at the front over here,
02:50 again due to the rain, the car is really messy, you get some blacked out bumpers with some
02:55 silver stuffing and over here, what you see are the active exhaust, now both of them are
03:00 active exhaust, they are not fake, so the GT line gets these dual tip exhaust that looks
03:06 really fantastic and you also get some diffuser kind of a finish over here, plus, you have
03:10 this reflector and you have this element, this is the reverse light and everything looks
03:14 fantastic over here, now let's open the boot, so open the boot, you have a hydraulic strut
03:20 to open it, press the request sensor, you can open through the key from inside, so the
03:24 boot space that you see over here is around 433 litres, we have somewhat of baggage that
03:28 is kept over here, this is a big cabin bag, two bags, obviously there's a lot of space,
03:32 if you remove the umbrella, you can see that there is plenty of space in the boot and if
03:37 you further want more space, you have a 60/40 split available and you can fold any side
03:43 depending on how much luggage you want to keep, to close the boot, you just have to
03:46 simply do this and the boot lid will shut, so now let's move on to the inside and I'll
03:51 tell you what all do you get with the all new Seltos.
03:54 Now we're at the rear section of the all new Seltos and as you can see over here, the cabin
04:05 looks pretty airy and the main reason is this huge panoramic sunroof that you get over here,
04:11 you can see that it starts all the way from the front and is still here and the view from
04:16 it is really amazing, especially during this monsoon weather, plus a few features that
04:20 you get over here, let me tell you, first of all, this seat is adjusted according to
04:23 my head, you can see that there is enough leg room, there is enough knee room, there's
04:27 decent under-thigh support and this is the upholstery that you get with the GT line,
04:32 obviously you have the GT line badging on the front, you have a hook over here, LED
04:37 lights, you again, feature-wise, you have an AC vent, you also have this smart air purifier
04:44 that you can turn off and this shows the display of the air quality, you have two type C sockets,
04:49 some cubby holes to keep your wallet or your phone, you also get an armrest that you can
04:54 obviously fold up when you're three people sitting and three people will be sitting really
04:58 comfortably over here because the footwell is really flat and you have adjustable headrest
05:03 that you can adjust according to your need and there you go, pretty comfortable cabin,
05:10 seats are really comfortable, you've got good cushioning, good back support and the recline
05:14 angle is also really nice, so you can have a good posture while driving on long trips
05:19 and one last thing, along with the comfortable seats, you also get a recline function that
05:24 you can recline the seat, I think a few degrees, I don't know how and by after reclining, this
05:30 is how you'll be travelling in the all-new Seltos, pretty comfortable and pretty airy
05:35 and this amazing panoramic sunroof just looks sick.
05:38 So now we're at the front seat and as you can see over here that a lot has changed,
05:45 now first of all, let me show you this, now you get the GT line badging on the seat as
05:50 I was telling you from behind and again, this is the upholstery you get over here, very
05:53 comfortable, these are basically seat covers, they're extremely comfortable and this is
05:58 the key, so the key is basically a new key and if you see on the front and back, you
06:02 do not get anything except the Kia logo but the buttons are over here, so it's pretty
06:06 interesting, you can handle it like this, like a trigger, so coming up over here, you
06:12 first of all get soft touch materials on the dashboard, you get some brushed aluminium
06:16 along the AC vents and this is what you see, this is actually, if you can see it from there,
06:20 it's a curved, it's basically a floating infotainment system but it has a curve in
06:24 between that actually looks good and this is actually pointed towards the driver, so
06:29 this is a 10.25, 10.25 infotainment system and just below that, you have your AC vents,
06:34 you have an AC control, you have dual zone climate control over here, so obviously the
06:38 passenger and the driver can set it according to their need, you have ventilated seats for
06:42 the passenger as well as the driver and you have three levels for that, apart from that,
06:47 you have some amount of storage space over here, you get a wireless charger, type C,
06:51 type A, 12V socket, you name it and you have it over here, plus if you see over here, this
06:57 is some storage space that you have, cup holders, I think, I don't know what is this for, I
07:02 think you can remove this, yeah, if you can remove this, this entire place you can store
07:05 your phone, keep your phone, you have your park button over here, you have your auto
07:09 hold, this is the cubby hole that has some amount of space and this is the glove box,
07:14 apparently this is not a cool glove box, but other than that, fit and finish quality is
07:20 pretty decent over here, it's actually really good, but what you get over here, you can
07:26 see that this is the digital instrument cluster and if you come a little close, you will,
07:30 I'll just show you a feature, so this is how the cluster looks like, let me just zoom in
07:35 and right now the door is open, but if I hit the indicator, you can see that this is how
07:39 the blind spot monitoring works, obviously you know that the blind spot monitoring, the
07:43 triangle that you see over there on the ORVM, let me just put the window down and if I show
07:48 you, so this basically, this triangle goes up when there is traffic coming from behind,
07:52 if you can see the triangle now, but along with that, if you give the indicator for the
07:56 left or the right, you can see, because of the ORVMs, the camera that is present over
08:01 there, that will allow you to see what is coming from behind, whether you go left or
08:06 whether you go right and this is an extremely cool feature, so this is the steering wheel
08:10 over here, you get steering wheel on the control, it's a flat bottom steering wheel, you have
08:13 the GT line badging over here, again you get some controls for the infotainment system,
08:17 you get some controls for the instrument cluster over here and this is your lane keep assist,
08:23 obviously your ADAS features can be controlled from here, you see this is the start/stop
08:26 button, traction control, auto start/stop, headlight leveller and this is your basically
08:31 your window controls, again you have piano black accent, you get brushed aluminium accent
08:38 and you also get a Bose sound system, so yeah guys, that was the front end of the all new
08:44 Seltos and now let's quickly drive this car and I'll tell you how it is to drive on the road.
08:49 So now we're at the driving seat of the all new Kia Seltos 2.0 and let me give you a quick
09:01 engine brief, so this car comes in three engine options, one is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated
09:07 petrol, the second one is a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine and this that we are driving
09:11 today is the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Now this car comes with five gearbox options,
09:18 yes you heard me right, comes with five gearbox options and what we are driving today is the
09:22 turbo petrol DCT, that's the dual clutch transmission and speaking about the power figures, so this
09:29 car produces around 160 PS of power, that is the highest in the segment, around 253
09:35 Nm of peak torque and made it to a dual clutch transmission gearbox that is absolutely fabulous,
09:41 shifts are seamless, they are fast, they are quick, up shifts, down shifts, whatever you need,
09:47 they are just brilliant. Now talking about the power delivery, so 160 PS obviously is a very
09:53 decent number when it comes to a car this segment, so 160 PSP and you have three modes, so you have
10:01 Eco, Normal and Sport. Now in Eco mode, obviously you have the throttle response will be slightly
10:06 lagging, on Sport mode it will be absolutely crisp and on the Normal mode is which we recommend for
10:12 you to drive in the city, that will be around somewhere in between, so overall if you see that
10:17 according to the Drive mode, the steering wheel and the throttle response changes, now we are
10:21 in Normal mode and if I just floor it, you can see that there is little amount of lag while it
10:29 shifts gears down and other than that, it absolutely is ballistic when it just, the boost kicks in
10:37 and the car just shoots ahead and so now we're going to take a U-turn and let us check the
10:43 turning radius, obviously this has got a good turning radius and you do not need to take a
10:47 three-point turn, so yeah, I mean pretty good, so yeah, as I was saying that the power delivery
10:55 is not at all linear, it is quick but once the boost builds up, then only you have that immediate
11:00 pull and the power will actually push you back in the seat, it basically has a good initial,
11:08 good mid-range and a very good top-end, like triple digit speeds just come up in no time,
11:12 since it is a 160 PSP car, it can do triple digit speeds all day and one more thing I would like to
11:20 mention is that when we took this car out on a full tank, it was completely filled to the brim
11:25 and it was showing around 811 kilometres distance to empty, so we drove around 50-60 kilometres in
11:31 the city in all the different modes, whether be it mostly in the sport mode but with that also,
11:37 it gave us a brilliant fuel economy and the distance to empty has dropped down to just 740,
11:43 which is pretty significant for the amount of driving that we were doing, so I think on a full
11:48 tank, easily you can go say maybe around 700 plus kilometres, that is absolutely fantastic for a
11:54 petrol car and now coming to the suspension, suspension setup is slightly on the stiffer
12:00 side which is a good thing, very comfortable suspension, they have tuned it excellently
12:04 according to the power figures and couple that with the steering wheel, so the steering wheel
12:07 is also amazing, it's got a good feedback, you want to switch lanes, you want to shift lanes,
12:12 it just briskly shifts and switches lanes and when you couple that with this power and this
12:18 suspension, you can see that the car is just, I mean it just feels planted on the road, so the car
12:25 has got around 190 mm of ground clearance and as you can see, we are at a stop signal and when we
12:30 have a stop signal, all the cameras and the sensors come to life, anyone who is near the car,
12:35 it will start pointing out that where the person is or where you need to maintain a little bit
12:40 of distance, so all of that, I mean safety wise, it is absolutely fantastic, you get six airbags,
12:45 you get ABS, EBD, you get level two ADAS features, that again has a lot of features that the car has
12:51 to offer, again you have adaptive cruise control, you have lane keep assist, you have blind spot
12:55 monitoring and what not, so I mean yeah, it's a fully loaded car, especially this one, the GT line,
13:03 so the GT line obviously has everything loaded up to it and the top of the line, but yeah,
13:09 I mean it's got enough power, so the GT line is actually fully loaded and with this decent
13:17 amount of power, you obviously have to see that the vehicle stops on time and for that,
13:23 he has actually equipped this Seltos with all four disc brakes, so with all four disc brakes,
13:29 obviously the braking has improved, plus the braking is actually really nice, got a good bite,
13:34 so you don't need to worry, you just have to floor it and once you floor it, if you want,
13:38 you just, it's got some punch in it and as you can see, suspension, triple digit speeds,
13:46 within no time, so and the braking is also really really nice, this is a fast car and if you have a
13:54 budget between 10 to 20 lakh rupees, then you can definitely go check out the all new Kia Seltos 2.0,
13:59 it's an amazing feature loaded car.
14:06 So yeah guys, that was the all new Kia Seltos 2.0 and once again, let me tell you the pricing for
14:11 this car, now this car carries a starting price of Rs 10.9 lakh rupees ex-showroom and that goes up to
14:18 20 lakh rupees ex-showroom and this again has seven variants, five gearbox options and if you
14:23 want to know anything else about this car, please mention down in the comment section and we will
14:26 get back to you on that, until then, I'm Prameet signing out, see you next time, thank you so much
14:29 for watching, take care, be safe and drive safe.
14:37 you
14:38 you
14:39 you
