00:10 Hey, excited to be here. Hey, what's up? Today we'll talk about the trinity of
00:14 technologies delivering this true-to-football level of authenticity.
00:17 Hypermotion V, play styles and the revolutionized Frostbite engine. So let's
00:23 just go straight into it. It feels like we have to start with Hypermotion V. So
00:28 tell me, what's the V about? What's new this year? V stands for the volumetric
00:32 capture technology. It's a game-changer because this is one of the biggest
00:36 gameplay innovation and I think the best way to talk about this is to show it.
00:41 Remember that goal from Holland against the Dormant in the Champions League last
00:46 year? We now have exactly the same motion in our game. Wait, that is actually
00:54 incredible. That's the magic of Hypermotion V. Hypermotion V completely
00:59 redefines how we go from the real-world matches by using something called
01:02 volumetric capture technology. This has been a dream of ours for many years.
01:07 Having the ability to get motion capture directly from the real players, the top
01:12 players playing in the highest possible competitions, that's been a dream. Well,
01:16 how is that even possible? There is a set of cameras in the actual stadiums all
01:21 around the pitch and with these huge matches played in front of the thousands
01:25 of fans, we'll be able to capture the exact player motion that happens in the
01:29 real games. So basically what you're telling me is if it's football, it's in
01:33 the game. That is incredible. But will these new animations be everywhere
01:38 across the game? Absolutely. We're talking about passes, shots, talking about tackles.
01:43 We're talking about hundreds of new, never-before-seen animations, movements
01:48 that are even more authentic to the football than ever before. Especially
01:52 those world-class actions that only a top player in a competitive match could
01:55 possibly perform. Grealish! It's in! A well-taken goal and no wonder he's off
02:01 celebrating. So if Hypermotion V uses volumetric capture from leagues like the
02:05 Premier League and the Women's Champions League, does that mean these top players
02:10 are more authentic in the game this year? Absolutely. Think of Haaland at a full
02:14 sprint, right? Nobody in the world moves like him and this year we can take his
02:19 volumetric data to create his running style with more authenticity than ever.
02:23 And even more, thanks to Hypermotion V, we've essentially gone from a couple of
02:28 dozen signature run styles to over 1,200. And with this real-world data, it just
02:34 makes every player unique and that's what's going into the game. So you play
02:37 like Man City versus Liverpool, every player is gonna be running a bit
02:40 different. Absolutely sensational! That's right, it's not just the stars we had
02:46 previously in our game, it's everyone on the pitch. Wow. So what you're telling me
02:50 is Hypermotion V affects Lengthy now? Lengthy is back, absolutely. With Hypermotion V
02:56 we have locked twice as many acceleration archetypes, which means more
02:59 uniqueness, more differences, like in real life. That is incredible and that's just
03:04 the first big technology powering authentic gameplay in FC24. I know we
03:09 could talk about it so much more in a great detail but we have to move on. So
03:13 let's talk about tech number two. Tell me about these play styles. So to put it
03:18 simply, numbers can't always explain the things that great players are able to do
03:22 on the pitch. Imagine Trent's signature whip cross or the way that Vinny takes
03:25 on defenders with his dribbling or even Sam Kerr's instinctive style of finishing.
03:30 So the play styles really represent those signature abilities, adding that
03:33 new dimension to the game that goes beyond just the ratings. It's more about
03:37 the way you play. Yes and each of these play styles will have two tiers, play
03:41 styles and play style plus. So the play styles are the signature abilities that
03:46 make players unique and the play style plus takes these signature abilities
03:49 from special to spectacular. Amazing and where did these play styles actually
03:54 come from? Just like Hypermotion V, we are using real-world data to power our
04:00 play styles and we've partnered with Opta to inform certain play styles to
04:05 our players so they're as authentic as possible. Great, so what sort of gameplay
04:11 boosts are we talking? I know a lot of people will want concrete examples from
04:14 you Sam. Well there's so many examples to take off. I really prefer to have players
04:19 who have defensive play styles and those play styles will unlock a stop ball
04:24 tackle, a new feature that we introduced in FC24. Players who will have these
04:29 play styles will be able to perform a stop tackle motion. It's an action that
04:34 will cleanly dispossess the opponent and perfect opportunity to take the
04:37 counter-attack and take the lead. And if you have the free kick specific play
04:42 style, so that's gonna give you that longer guiding line so you can see
04:46 exactly where the ball is gonna go and you can hit it into the top ends more
04:49 regularly. Or the power shot. Power shot is a new mechanic we introduced last
04:53 year and this year the power shots play style really elevates this. You get
04:58 faster to the ball, you shoot like a rocket, that's my favorite. Wow that is
05:04 amazing. How many play styles are there? Do you have a number? In total there are
05:08 34 brand new play styles in FC24 and they cover every aspect and what I love
05:14 about the play styles that's something that will truly define the players, make
05:19 players more unique and equip them with their true-to-life tendencies and
05:23 signature abilities. Try to guess if someone has a power header, acrobatic
05:27 shot and power shot. Who is that? I think it's your favorite player Harland right?
05:32 Harland, Harland. But this isn't in just one phase of the game right? It's
05:40 throughout attacking, defending, in midfield, everywhere. Absolutely. Like for
05:45 example the finesse shot with Son, rapid dribbling with Vinicius Jr., tiki-taka
05:49 with Jude Bellingham. Marta and Trinity Rodman both has a great play styles
05:54 combination for both dribbling and finishing. Basically all your favorite
05:58 players will have a unique combination of the play styles that truly defines
06:02 who they are. So are we gonna see these play styles in any other game modes? Yeah
06:07 for sure they'll help you make your pro more unique in clubs, they'll help you
06:10 create that perfect ultimate team, they'll even allow you to personalize
06:13 your player in career to make your player play just the way you want them
06:17 to. Amazing so I know I don't have the real-world attributes to be a trickster
06:22 but I would want the trickster play style plus I think. It's the bruiser play
06:25 style plus for me. You don't look like a bruiser though, you're a lovely man.
06:28 I just want to smash people nobody's getting by me.
06:32 Well that brings us to our third in the trinity of technologies this year. What
06:38 can you tell the people about the revolutionized Frostbite engine? So as
06:42 people have noticed throughout this deep dive the world's game has never looked
06:45 better than it does this year. The game looks amazing, the players bodies, their
06:49 faces, the light, the pitch, even the way the fabric on the kids wraps and moves
06:55 around the players. There's so much more detail and realism in the visual
06:59 experience we bring in this year and there is something that I've never seen
07:01 before. Amazing I know we want to save a bit of these details for the
07:05 presentation deep dive. But hopefully what we've shown already has started to
07:10 get people excited. Well I certainly can't wait to start playing and thank
