Transcript
00:00 >> This is Ethan Offit from Dogs Daily.
00:02 We're here with Dylan Riola, number one quarterback in the nation at
00:05 Dekula High School.
00:07 How are you feeling today, man?
00:08 >> Feel great.
00:09 I had a great camp with the guys.
00:10 Took a great stride.
00:13 I really wanted to be the bomb.
00:14 We just gotta keep chipping away and adding on to what we did today.
00:19 >> For sure, you mentioned you had a great camp.
00:21 Y'all started off against Archer.
00:23 Let's talk about that a little bit.
00:25 It was chippy.
00:25 Do you notice any differences from what you've experienced
00:29 throughout the camp and even the Archer game compared to out west?
00:32 >> It's a different brand of football out here.
00:36 The O line firing off the ball, E line firing off the ball.
00:40 We made it a point to establish a line of scrimmage.
00:43 So I mean, that's what we did.
00:46 We were getting in there, running power.
00:47 So, I just felt we made a great start.
00:50 The pace is obviously faster.
00:53 The offensive system on me is exactly what I need,
00:57 the first out system, so it's been great so far.
01:02 >> That's good, man.
01:03 I gotta ask, who's better, out west or here in Georgia?
01:07 >> I like it out here in Georgia.
01:09 >> That's good, man.
01:09 >> I got a lot of family, I got a lot of friends.
01:11 I got my church out west, but I love what God is doing out here in Georgia.
01:16 >> That's good, man.
01:17 So speaking of Georgia, you got some new O line commits all over 6'6".
01:22 Have you gotten a chance to get to know these guys at all or
01:25 got building a relationship with them?
01:28 >> Yeah, every single one of them.
01:29 Throughout the whole recruiting process, we stayed in touch and
01:35 kind of just recruiting them.
01:36 But they're all great guys.
01:39 Everyone sees the measurables, see them as football players.
01:41 But at the end of the day, they're all great people.
01:44 >> Exactly. >> People that you wanna be around,
01:46 people that you trust, and people that you want leading,
01:49 leading really your team, the offensive line, D line leads the team.
01:53 >> Exactly, I mean, Coach Smart talked about that a little bit at SEC Media Days.
01:57 You want great people and great recruits, and that's what they're doing there.
02:00 So speaking of Georgia, we're gonna stay on topic there.
02:05 Has any of the current teammates reached out to you and
02:07 offered you any words of advice going through your senior year in a new state,
02:11 possibly?
02:12 >> I talked to Malachi Starks.
02:15 He's going to Jefferson.
02:17 And he said, just enjoy your senior year.
02:20 You get one senior year and one opportunity to be with all your guys.
02:23 You'll remember this season for the rest of your life.
02:25 So just cherish in every moment that's provided.
02:29 >> For sure, man.
02:30 And we're gonna go off football topic here.
02:32 Have you tried any of the Georgia foods?
02:34 Are you still hitting up the Whataburger out there in Buford?
02:37 >> I eat at home.
02:40 >> You eat at home?
02:41 >> My mom, my dad, they make me my food, so I eat at home.
02:45 >> That's good, man.
02:45 Hey, we're gonna wrap it up, bro.
02:47 Good camp today out here at the Dekula High School.
02:49 Appreciate your time, man.
02:50 - Yes, sir, baby.
