00:00 After a year of learning last season in College Station, this year is where the college football
00:05 world finds out the identity of the Texas A&M Aggies.
00:10 Head coach Jimbo Fisher went on the Paul Feinbaum Show Post SEC Media Days on Monday saying
00:15 that last season did not go the way he wanted it to go.
00:19 But this season is about evaluating and fixing the issue at hand from the head coach all
00:24 the way down to the lowest player on the totem pole.
00:27 Fisher continued to speak on last season saying that the key word is "why."
00:32 Why did it happen?
00:34 Stating that if you understand the why, you will always get the players to understand.
00:38 The Aggies hovered around 100th in the country in offense last season, but they did boast
00:44 the number 25 scoring defense, allowing 21.2 points per game.
00:50 From the highs of the season, like defeating SEC West champions in LSU 38-23, to the lowest
00:56 of lows, such as a loss at the hands of Appalachian State, the Aggies continued to play for each
01:02 other and never quit playing hard.
01:04 Fisher believes they are now in a great position for the 2023 season as recruiting is going
01:09 well along with having good players and a great staff.
01:13 The Aggies open up their 2023 season against New Mexico on Saturday, September 2nd at 6
01:19 p.m. at Kyle Field.
01:21 From all Aggies, I'm Alexandra Cox.
