00:00 The NFL season is almost upon us.
00:03 Training camp is here and there's always some good drama when it comes to NFL training camp.
00:07 So what do you think is your number one storyline to watch when it comes to this year?
00:11 It's sort of evolving in the last week, isn't it?
00:14 Yeah.
00:14 What has happened to the running back in the NFL?
00:17 Right.
00:17 I played some fantasy football since, I mean, me and Fisher, back when we had the Faxar lineup.
00:22 I can't believe that.
00:23 I can't even imagine.
00:24 That's how long I've been playing fantasy football.
00:26 It was usually a rush to get the number one running back because they
00:29 caught the ball and scored touchdowns.
00:31 And now they're like, "Eh, don't worry about running backs."
00:32 Three of the top six rushers in the NFL last year do not have contracts.
00:38 That's crazy.
00:39 That's mind-boggling.
00:40 I'm talking about, of course, Josh Jacobs of the Raiders, Saquon Barker of the Giants,
00:44 and Dalvin Cook, previously of the Vikings, who doesn't even have a team right now.
00:49 Yeah.
00:50 Throw into that a guy who played for the Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott.
00:53 He had 12 rushing touchdowns.
00:55 Right.
00:55 Nobody wants him.
00:56 And those guys are all under 30 years old.
00:59 With a lot of juice left.
01:01 Yeah, you would think.
01:02 I mean, maybe they've lost a step, but, you know, Tony Gorsett back in the day.
01:08 They all played until 33, 34 years old.
01:10 Now it's 24.
01:11 You're like, "Ah, your time's up."
01:12 Running backs are trying to band together like they're on a text chain.
01:16 And we need our money.
01:17 And they don't have a point.
01:20 Yeah.
01:20 Teams, like the Chiefs, are saying, "We're going to give all our money to Patrick Mahomes,
01:26 and that allows to give no money to Fernie Pacheco,"
01:29 or whoever the heck their running back was last year.
01:31 And they win Super Bowls doing that.
01:33 So the running backs just--
01:34 the sport has evolved, and their valuation has deteriorated.
01:41 That's just where we are.
01:41 But that's going to be an amazing story.
01:44 The running backs are unhappy.
01:46 What can they do about it?
01:47 Play better?
01:48 Be more productive?
01:49 I don't know what their--
01:50 Eventually, it's a trend.
01:53 It'll turn back the other way.
01:54 And we'll be after running backs rule.
01:55 But right now, it's receivers and quarterbacks.
