00:04 - Selena Gomez is sharing a never-before-seen peek
00:06 at the creation of one of her most powerful songs.
00:09 On Monday, the vocalist took to TikTok
00:11 to post an unearthed clip from the early stages
00:13 of crafting her pop ballad, "Lose You to Love Me."
00:16 In the video, Selena sat behind the piano
00:17 and worked on the chords and the emotional lyrics.

00:32 that stripped-down piano sesh was, writing,
00:34 "This isn't the greatest, I know,
00:36 so I hope no one minds me
00:37 turning the comments off from my head,

00:42 Selena released "Lose You to Love Me" in 2019,
00:44 and it became an instant hit,
00:45 becoming her first number one song
00:47 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
00:49 In her Apple TV+ documentary, "My Mind and Me,"
00:52 which came out last year,
00:53 Selena reflected on how she and her co-writers

01:07 It's me learning to choose myself, to choose life,
