Board chair and CEO of chemical regulator resign

The chief executive and the chair of Australia’s chemical regulator have resigned after a damning report uncovered deep cultural issues at the authority and found it had been captured by industry interests. The APVMA is responsible for approving and monitoring chemicals such as weed killer and veterinary medicines. But the regulator has been the subject of an independent review after it was alleged a staff member had urinated on his colleagues at a Christmas party.
