The Biden administration appears to be in a fix over whether to supply controversial cluster bombs to Ukraine to fight Russia. Shortage of artillery ammunition is reportedly slowing down Ukraine’s recently-launched counteroffensive against Russia. Senior US administration and defense officials have in recent weeks sought to shore up support for supplying cluster munitions to Kyiv. A January intelligence assessment, reported as part of the leaked Pentagon documents, also advocated cluster munitions for Ukraine.
