00:17 Matt, please. Good to see you again.
00:19 You alright?
00:20 Okay, we're going to try something a little bit different.
00:21 These are some balloons.
00:22 I just wanted to show you that they really are balloons.
00:24 Oh, yeah.
00:25 It is a balloon, okay?
00:26 Yeah.
00:27 I've got some different colours here.
00:28 I think it's maybe a little bit too girly.
00:30 We'll go with a blue one for now, okay?
00:31 Yeah.
00:32 But what we'll do is this.
00:33 We'll see if it's down there a sec.
00:34 I need to give you a sign as well.
00:36 I've got some change here.
00:37 Let's use...
00:38 Just grab the 10p for me.
00:40 Yeah.
00:41 What I want you to do is take the pen here and put your initials on it on either side.
00:45 Yeah, just put your initials on one side and one on the other.
00:49 Just turn it over and I'm just going to get the neck of this balloon open
00:51 so we can fit the coin in in a second.
00:55 Is that dry, yeah?
00:56 Yeah.
00:57 Awesome.
00:58 Now let it really dry.
00:59 Make sure it doesn't rub off or anything.
01:00 That's good, yeah?
01:01 Yeah, that looks fine.
01:02 Okay, drop the pen down on the table and just pop the coin just in the neck of the balloon for me.
01:05 Like that?
01:06 Yeah, just push it out as far as you can.
01:07 That's fine.
01:08 And when you push it in, you're going to see there's like a little--the shape.
01:12 Can you see that, yeah?
01:13 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:14 And what you can do is if you pull it, you can work it inside.
01:17 Can you see it going in?
01:18 Yeah.
01:19 And eventually, when you get it into the body of the balloon, you can pull it and it will just fall inside.
01:23 All right?
01:24 I don't know if you can see this.
01:25 It's tough to see sometimes, but can you touch it?
01:28 It really is in there.
01:29 Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely.
01:30 All right, okay?
01:31 And what I'm going to do, I'm going to work it near down to the bottom as much as I can just so it's out of the way for a second.
01:34 And I'm going to try and blow it up nice and big, so--
01:37 Just like that.
01:44 Is that all right?
01:45 Can you see okay?
01:47 All right?
01:48 Yeah.
01:49 And what we're going to do is we're going to--
01:51 There we go.
01:52 Lovely.
01:53 And I'm going to put a little knot in the neck of the balloon so it's out of the way.
01:56 Minus my sweaty fingers.
01:58 There we go.
01:59 I'll just pull it up a bit so you can see it all properly.
02:02 Nice and tight.
02:03 Okay?
02:04 So listen, if you listen carefully, you can actually--
02:06 Don't get my hand, honestly.
02:07 You can hear--
02:09 Yeah, yeah.
02:10 You can hear it inside, yeah?
02:11 And you can hear it inside.
02:12 And this is what we're going to try and do.
02:13 This is a little bit weird.
02:14 Okay.
02:15 But I'm actually going to take it.
02:16 And what I can do is if you can--
02:19 Still hear the coin?
02:20 Yeah.
02:21 I can take the balloon and just--
02:23 If you pinch the coin, you can stop it from moving.
02:28 And if you just give it a little bit of a--
02:32 If I pull it up like this, I can get the coin to slowly--
02:38 I don't know if you can see the edge of the coin there.
02:42 If I rub it, it looks like--
02:45 You see it starts to come through the balloon?
02:47 Yeah.
02:48 Can you see that?
02:49 I know it's tough to see it, but look.
02:50 If I hold it--
02:52 Keep looking at it.
02:55 Can you see it looks like it melts through the balloon?
02:58 There's no air going down.
02:59 I'll let you actually see it.
03:00 That is half in, half out the balloon.
03:02 That's crazy.
03:03 But that's really in there, yeah?
03:04 Yeah, yeah.
03:05 Watch this now.
03:06 This is the weird part.
03:07 If we just take it--
03:08 Keep watching.
03:10 Bit by bit.
03:12 You'll see that it actually comes through.
03:14 This is the weird part, just to show you.
03:15 It's still tied down the bottom.
03:17 It really is, yeah?
03:18 And have a look at the coin.
03:19 Watch this now.
03:20 This is the weird part.
03:21 If I just do this, there's no hole.
03:24 Check out, Shukr, that really is your coin, yeah?
03:26 Yeah.
03:27 Okay.
03:28 Now, you probably wonder how this is done.
03:29 Would you like to know how it's done?
03:30 Yes, please.
03:31 It's really, really easy.
03:32 What it is, it's that these balloons are special balloons,
03:33 and you can't burst them.
03:35 I don't believe you.
03:37 I've got a pin on me, actually.
03:38 Let me get--
03:39 That's pretty impressive, though.
03:40 And just check this little pin for me.
03:43 Check it is what it is.
03:44 Yeah.
03:45 Okay.
03:46 What I'm going to do is I'm going to hold this in nice and tight
03:47 so you can see it all.
03:48 And what we're going to do is I'm going to take this,
03:50 and we're going to pop it.
03:51 And hopefully--watch closely.
03:53 Fingers crossed.
03:54 I don't want the bits to go too far, but watch closely, really.
03:58 [pop]
03:59 Now, you see the bits exploding and erupting everywhere.
04:01 If you can just grab that one down by your foot there.
04:03 There's a little bit here, and there's a little bit there.
04:05 But what we'll do is we'll squidge these pieces back together.
04:08 And I told you these are indestructible balloons.
04:10 They really are.
04:11 So if you just take them like this,
04:13 and give it a little bit of a work.
04:17 Just watch what happens.
04:18 You're going to start to see it here already.
04:21 Just keep watching.
04:29 No way.
04:30 You'll see that it actually goes back together.
04:32 You probably don't need the lip.
04:39 And you can keep that as a little souvenir with your coin.
04:42 It really is a real balloon.
04:44 Cool?
04:45 That's pretty amazing.
04:46 Awesome.
04:47 Stick it there.
04:48 Cheers.
04:49 Thank you very much.
04:50 Cheers.
04:51 Cheers.
04:52 I like it.
05:05 Hi, guys, and welcome to Nafesh's Latex.
05:07 Latex is a visual coin-through balloon with different phases.
05:10 But you clearly get to see the spectator's sign coin,
05:13 which they put in the balloon and melt through the wall of the balloon itself.
05:16 It's absolutely fantastic, extremely visual.
05:19 There's many different -- there's two routines we've got for this.
05:22 There's one with a full restoration, and then there's Nafesh's basic routine.
05:25 But we'll go through both routines in depth and detail,
05:28 show you how to set this up and how to do it.
05:30 Welcome to Nafesh's Latex.
05:39 Okay, so what you need to set this up is you need three balloons.
05:42 This is for the full routine using the restoration as well at the end,
05:46 but we are going to describe both routines along the way.
05:49 First of all, you'll be given three balloons to start you off with.
05:52 And obviously colours will vary, but we'll talk about that later on,
05:55 and also the type of balloon, and again we'll talk about this later on.
05:58 But first of all, the ones you've got, you need to set them up.
06:01 You need to put first of all -- roll this one into a little packet,
06:05 because this will be our restored balloon.
06:08 So you literally roll it over like this, and you take it and you roll it down
06:15 so what it almost looks like is kind of like a little snail, just like that, okay?
06:19 And then you're going to take the neck and you're going to re-wrap it by pinching it there,
06:23 and it re-wraps back around the balloon and it sits just like that.
06:29 So what this does, it holds the balloon in one place in a little ball,
06:32 but if you pop this back here, it'll unwind and then the balloon will be fully restored.
06:36 This will also count as a noise of what will sound like a coin inside the balloon later on.
06:41 So that's part one.
06:42 Part two.
06:43 So now you need to take the balloon and you're going to roll this one again, just down,
06:51 and then you're going to insert this into the balloon, it's going to go straight inside,
06:55 so literally straight in through the neck until the tip touches near the end,
07:00 and then you can pull it down, thus straightening the whole balloon out.
07:06 So now that you've got the balloon straightened out inside, you need to pop this one inside here.
07:11 Now there's two layers to the balloon, there's the inner balloon and the outer balloon.
07:14 It needs to go in the inside balloon to give us the rattle effect when it's blown up.
07:18 So what you're going to do is take it and you need to unravel this
07:23 so you can get this down here as much as possible, and I'll do my best to show you now.
07:28 You pull it like this, and with your fingers you keep working back and forth until you open it up,
07:36 and you can see it's getting wider, just like that.
07:39 With your thumbs, this is the way you can do it on your own, you pop it on top there,
07:43 and you push this into the neck of the balloon, and you see it starts to go in,
07:48 and by grabbing the layers you can peel it down until it pops into the base of the balloon,
07:55 which I can then pull through so that it's on the inside.
08:01 And if I take my thumbs out of the top here, so again you're going to see the two parts here,
08:07 so there's the inner balloon and the outer balloon, and it's just on the neck now,
08:11 and it mainly gets to the inside part until you give it a little shake,
08:16 and now the ball of the balloon is inside the middle of the balloon here,
08:23 and then we're ready to do the last step.
08:26 So now the last part to prep this balloon is you need to pull the inside balloon out just a little bit,
08:32 about that much, okay?
08:34 We're going to need to put a hole in the bottom of the balloon.
08:36 Now it's very, very important where we put this, and actually it's right on what I would call the nipple of the balloon,
08:42 which is this point here, the tip right at the end.
08:45 Now if you pull it here forward and squeeze it out, I can squish this down and I know it's just there.
08:52 Now the hole on this needs to be, it's not as big as you think,
08:57 you'd assume it would have to be the full size of like a ten pence piece or a quarter,
09:00 but it doesn't have to be that big because when you blow the balloon it will expand.
09:04 But you take your scissors and you're going to cut off a little area,
09:09 cleanly like that, and then if I pop this out of the way, you can see, I'll open it out, there's the hole.
09:17 And it's probably, I'd say, no bigger than almost like a grain of rice is the kind of size you're going for.
09:22 But with it popped out, you cut it and you snip it off, and all you have to do now is pull everything down,
09:27 give it a little shake, that pulls the neck down, you're ready to go, and that is your balloon set up for latex.
09:34 Okay, so this is the full routine with the coin going inside, it penetrates the balloon,
09:45 the balloon's burst, and then it restores. This is the full whack, okay?
09:48 Now, how you start, obviously, is you've got your gimmick balloon set up with the ball balloon inside
09:54 and your sleeves and your hole in the base, so that one's ready to go.
09:57 This will lay on the table. Now, as we start, there's two things you have to look at.
10:00 One is there's a hole in the bottom, which might be seen.
10:02 Second is that there's two next to the balloon.
10:05 But literally, once you've had the balloon and the coin's gone in, once it's blown up, all this is covered up, okay?
10:10 So when you start, what I like to do is have a few normal balloons again out,
10:14 and I can chuck one over the neck, one over the nipple where the hole is,
10:18 and I can just kind of lay these on top like this.
10:20 So it kind of looks like you just pulled them out and chucked them out, okay?
10:23 Or literally, you can just put them out of your pocket and go through them.
10:26 I'll explain you these bits first of all as well.
10:28 You need a sharpie, 10-pence piece, a quarter, or any coin of that size.
10:33 We just found that the silver coin looks nice on the balloons as well,
10:36 and the fact that it's nice and thin and there's not really any sharp edges to these thin-sized coins.
10:41 And of course you need a pin to pop the balloon or whatever.
10:44 If you have some reason, you have a knife on your set, then have this.
10:47 But what I tend to do is take the pin and put it through the top of my trousers and clip it off so it's there and it's easy to access, okay?
10:55 And literally, I've got to push it down, unclip it, and pull it out.
10:58 So that's the pin there, but I'll leave it on the table for now, okay?
11:02 So we start with all the balloons set down, and we're going to get into the first part.
11:09 So, with all the balloons, you're going to start off, and you'll see they're covering your display balloon there.
11:14 I'm going to give one to the spectator and say, "These really are real balloons," and they can stretch them.
11:18 You can check them, they can blur it up, do what they want with it.
11:20 I'm then going to come down, and quite casually I'm going to go, "Well, I'll use the red one."
11:25 Now as soon as I pick it up, I hold it like this, and that's with my fingers covering the two necks at the end,
11:32 and my hand covering the base nipple hole, where it is down the bottom here, so it's out the way,
11:37 and I give it a little stretch to show it's a balloon.
11:39 Okay, that's what you do with balloons, apparently.
11:41 So I stretch this balloon here, and I can get rid of these and pop them out of the way.
11:49 Then we're going to get them to take a coin and sign it.
11:52 So you can ask them for how they're going to change, or give them a coin yourself,
11:55 and say, "And if you do give it yourself, make a new one by signing it, but get them to sign the coin anyway, and let the ink dry."
12:01 So I'll put down C, W, just like that, and fingers crossed it should dry.
12:13 Good stuff like that.
12:14 Now the reason we use the ten-pinch pieces, and it's almost like a quarter size as well,
12:17 they're quite soft balloons and there's no jagged edges,
12:20 so it's the nicest balloon to have in the wall of the balloon, which you can work around.
12:24 So once they've signed the coin, take the balloon, and we're going to pop it in the neck of the balloon.
12:29 As they're signing the coin, this is when you're going to do your get ready.
12:32 Now the get ready, you need the coin to be in between the two balloons in the wall.
12:38 So what you're going to do is this.
12:40 As they're signing the coin, you're going to come over,
12:43 and you're going to peel back the top balloon to one side, or into your hand.
12:48 So in my case, to the right.
12:50 I then grab the outer balloon, and I pull it slightly, but keeping pressure on the edges.
12:55 So what you get is this.
12:57 So looking at it, it looks like you've just opened the neck of the balloon, which you have.
13:00 But in actual fact, the main neck is sticking out to my right.
13:04 So you've stretched the neck of the balloon, and you've got that part sticking out, and you can hold it here.
13:09 So now you're going to get into place the coin in the balloon, and when they put it in,
13:13 you've just got to direct them what to do, and it is literally just putting the coin inside the balloon.
13:16 So I'm going to ask Mr Hand to come in.
13:19 Thank you.
13:20 And pop the coin in the neck of the balloon, and they'll push it in.
13:23 And it'll be quite tight to get in, it'll probably sit at the top.
13:26 And you can close it all around it.
13:28 Thank you, Mr Hand.
13:29 And then you'll see the balloon in the neck here, or the coin rather, in the neck of the balloon.
13:33 Now, you've obviously still got this part sticking out, so that your fingers are covering it.
13:37 And what you do is you explain to them that if I work the coin all the way down,
13:41 and all you're doing is literally you're only getting the outer balloon, not the inside balloon where the coin is.
13:45 And you're just working it down, and you say you can still see it moving.
13:49 And that's the nice thing about it, is you can really see the coin all the way around inside there.
13:52 And you can, if you squeeze it tight, you can show it all the way around.
13:55 And you move the coin down until it falls into the main part of the balloon, the body.
14:01 And then all you do is you hold it here, just in case this part's sticking up,
14:04 and you give it a little shake, and the weight of the coin will pull that neck down.
14:10 So now that you've got the coin inside the balloon, and you can always, if you want to, you can push it up to the side.
14:14 As long as you're not on the hole at the bottom, and say you can still see the coins there.
14:18 And you can actually feel it, and let them touch the coin.
14:21 You're then going to say, I'm going to work the coin down to the bottom.
14:23 So you're here like this, you bring it back up, give it a little shake,
14:26 and you're going to work the coin back down to the base.
14:29 What you're actually doing is you're sitting this coin on top of that hole that we've made earlier on.
14:35 Now if you look, you can probably see a little bit of the silver there if I stretch it open.
14:39 But it's pretty much, roughly, going to be sat like that, OK, on top of the hole.
14:44 This is done like this. The nipple point, that tip of the balloon, is right at the base.
14:48 So if you shake the coin, it will sit there.
14:51 So now you're going to blow the balloon up, OK?
14:54 So, if you only blow up the inside balloon, it will pad out and fill out the whole balloon,
14:59 which stretches the outer one, keeping it all safe.
15:02 Now, it won't go down with the hole, because the inner balloon is pushing pressure on the outside of the balloon,
15:07 which keeps the balloon up in full shape.
15:10 So, we're going to take the balloon here, and we're going to blow it up.
15:19 Now, you'll notice I'm going to keep my hand flat, and you can see that's where the coin needs to be sat, right on there.
15:25 OK? So I'm going to blow it up.
15:31 Now, when you're blowing it up, you can tilt it and have a look and see where that coin is.
15:35 And so far, that's pretty much what I want, and you can see it inside there.
15:39 And you'll notice that when you blow it up, you're going to start to hear the other balloon inside,
15:43 which will give the supposed sound of the coin, so it should be rattling inside the balloon.
15:48 So I'm going to blow it up a little bit more, just like that.
15:53 And that's more than enough, and you can see it just coming through there, maybe a little bit.
15:57 And then you tie a knot.
15:59 To tie the knot, you're just going to come back underneath your arm,
16:03 your fingers come under, and you just twist everything, hold it there, and then you can push the knot through.
16:10 But when the knot clears that hole, what you want to do is pull that outer balloon up to tie the knot,
16:16 and you need it to cover the inside neck, which looks just a let go, but don't do it tight.
16:24 I pull this around. As I pull forward, and what that does, it pulls the inside one back against the knot,
16:31 and it will sit there, so therefore it hides the neck.
16:34 You can only see one neck of the balloon, and you can obviously set up then with the balloon ready to move on
16:40 and to do the actual penetration.
16:43 So now, what you're left with at this point, your set-up, or where you're at now,
16:47 is you'll have the coin sticking a little bit out of the hole.
16:50 Sometimes the coin might be just underneath it, but literally you can work this around.
16:54 And the best tip for this is do not be afraid of the balloon.
16:57 If you ever work with balloons, and if you're even a children's entertainer, if you're afraid of the balloon,
17:00 there's a high chance they're going to pop, you're going to almost play around them.
17:04 So you really need to just do this and carry on, it will be fine.
17:07 And these balloons are really good, because they're powdered, so again, they're softer.
17:10 So, your neck's done there, which looks pretty cool.
17:12 So what you're going to do is you turn it towards yourself first so you can see it.
17:15 It doesn't matter if you hear the noise, because a coin should rattle inside a balloon.
