00:16 Today I'm going to show you this really simple half updo
00:18 that I found on Instagram.
00:19 It was inspired by another hair account,

00:24 All you're going to need for this hairstyle
00:25 are a few elastic bands and some bobby pins, and that's it.
00:28 So let's get started.
00:30 For this hairstyle, I am wearing my 220 gram
00:33 dirty blonde set for extra fullness and length.
00:35 Now, I've already clipped in my Lexies,
00:37 but if you would like to see how I blend my Lexie hair

00:43 To start this hairstyle off, I'm going
00:44 to grab a section of hair just around the crown of my head,
00:48 and I'm going to lightly brush it with my fingers
00:50 to ensure all my wefts are covered.
00:51 Once I have that section to my liking,
00:55 I'm then going to go ahead and secure it loosely
00:58 with a hair tie.
00:58 Now that it is secured, I'm going
01:03 to make a small hole above the hair tie
01:05 and carefully loop my ponytail through it.
01:07 Once this is done, I'm going to start
01:12 pulling on small pieces of hair to add a bit more volume
01:15 and to give this hairstyle more of a faux fishtail effect.
01:17 When everything is secure and covered,
01:22 I'm going to grab a small section of hair
01:24 and wrap it around the ponytail and secure it
01:26 with a bobby pin.
01:27 For the second half of this hairstyle,
01:37 I'm going to start by grabbing small sections of hair
01:39 from both sides of my face and pulling it back
01:41 into a low ponytail.
01:42 And then I'm going to repeat the same steps as before.
01:44 I'm going to loop the ponytail through the gap above it,
01:52 pulling small sections on it to add volume
01:54 to this faux fishtail ponytail.
01:57 And then once done and all my wefts
01:59 are secured and hidden in place, I'm
02:01 going to grab a section of hair and wrap it around the ponytail.
02:04 This step is going to help hide the hair elastic in your hair
02:07 and give you more of an effortless look.
