00:00 Hi guys! Today's tutorial is going to be on this eye-catching hairstyle that will definitely
00:11 keep you in the center of attention. It's inspired by the bow braid that you might have
00:15 already seen on Cute Girls Hairstyles channel. This unique hairstyle has impressed not only
00:20 me and millions of their viewers, but also the head hairstylist of the Hunger Games and
00:25 you can see it on Prim in Catching Fire. Today I'd like to show you a version of this
00:29 hairstyle suitable for young adults. My friend Mindy from Cute Girls Hairstyles and I wanted
00:35 to collaborate for ages, but since there is the entire Atlantic Ocean separating us, so
00:39 far we weren't able to do it in person. Instead, we decided to recreate one of each other's
00:44 hairstyles. I'd like to invite you to head over to their channel and discover which of
00:49 my hairstyles Mindy is going to teach you today, as well as over 200 amazing hair tutorials
00:54 on braids, buns and ponytails. Be sure to subscribe to their channel not to miss any
00:59 of their great videos. Unfortunately, my own hair is so straight, thin and flat that whenever
01:05 I move it away from my face, it feels like I've no hair left. Luckily, I can instantly
01:09 transform it with my Glamtime hair extensions. I'll use two colors to get an effect of beautiful
01:14 highlights in my hair. Later on, I'll also tease my own hair for some extra volume. I'll
01:23 take a section of the hair that lies above my ear and tie the remaining hair into a ponytail.
01:28 We want to start from creating a regular French braided headband. So grab three tiny strands
01:33 of hair and start placing the outer strands over the middle one. Once you place the left
01:38 strand in the middle for the second time, pick some loose hair from the left and add
01:42 it to the middle strand. Place the right strand in the middle and add some loose hair from
01:50 the right to the middle strand. Keep on braiding like that all the way down to your ear. The
01:55 braid should finish right behind it. You may notice that I keep my braid closer to the
02:00 left and that I add more hair from the right than I do from the left. It's because I want
02:04 to create this braid using as little hair as possible and at the same time I want to
02:08 keep it away from my hairline. I find that this strategy provides the most flattering
02:13 results. Now tie the braid with a small elastic right behind your ear. This could already
02:31 be a nice hairstyle, but we'll go on and separate a thin section of hair behind the
02:35 braid. We'll use this hair to create our bows. So grab a big hairpin and get ready
02:41 for the fun part. Slip the hairpin through the further segment of your braid and pick
02:46 up a thin strand of hair. Make a small loop and bring this loop through the hairpin. Tug
02:57 on the loop to make it bigger, as big as you want your bow to be. Then just pull the pin
03:02 back and that's going to give you the first little bow. Adjust the hair with your fingers
03:11 until you get the desired shape. Then repeat the entire procedure forming as many bows
03:17 as you wish. I'm going to have 4 of them. If your hair is longer than mine, the longer
03:22 ends of the strands will be sticking out on the further side of the braid. Just bring
03:26 them behind all the bows at the end and they'll merge with the loose hair behind the braid.
03:34 For some extra volume, I'll tease my own hair above the extensions. I'll start from
03:38 the sections at the back of my head. I'll backcomb each section, bring it to the back
03:43 and then arrange it with my hands so that there are no major bumps. At the end I'll
03:55 smooth out the very surface, gently gliding over it with a comb.
03:59 After that this hairstyle is complete. And that's what it looks like from the front,
04:03 from the side and from the back. And here is my complete party ready look inspired by
04:08 cute girls' hairstyles. If you're not yet subscribed to them, make sure to visit
