00:02 - Hey guys, it's Jackie here with another Halloween look
00:19 and I got so many cool requests from you guys,
00:21 so thanks for sending them in to me
00:23 and I chose to do a woodland fairy
00:25 because I was listening to Taylor Swift's Out of the Woods
00:27 when I came across this request on my Instagram page.
00:30 So I mean, I just had to do it
00:31 and I hope you guys like the look.
00:33 I have already washed and moisturized my skin
00:36 and to make sure to even out the redness in my skin
00:38 and give a flawless look,
00:39 I'm using a medium to full coverage foundation
00:42 and to apply this, I'm using a blending sponge.
00:45 Mine is just from Quo and I'm stippling this
00:47 all over my face.
00:48 To touch up any areas with extra redness,
00:54 I'm adding my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer around my nose,
00:57 under my eyes and on any blemishes.
01:00 To set the cream products,
01:07 I'm using my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder on a big fluffy brush.
01:11 To add a pretty glow,
01:15 I'm going in with my Too Faced Milk Chocolate Bronzer
01:18 and I'm applying this on my temples,
01:19 under my cheekbones, jawline, on my neck where I need to
01:23 and I prefer this bronzer for lighter skin tones
01:26 rather than the Hoola bronzer
01:28 because it's a little less harsh.
01:29 With Sigma's new 3D HD Kabuki Brush,
01:34 I'm contouring to create a strong cheekbone
01:37 with a warm deep chocolate brown color.
01:39 For the blush, I'm using NARS Orgasm Blush
01:43 and I love the flecks of gold in this pinky peach shade
01:46 and again, I'm exaggerating the blush
01:48 and blending it all the way up to my temples.
01:55 Even though the blush is shimmery,
01:57 I wanted to take it one step further
01:58 and add a shimmery highlight on my cheekbones.
02:01 For brows, I'm going to go big and bold
02:06 by creating small thin strokes in my natural brows
02:09 at the head of the brow as well as throughout
02:11 and I'm also redefining the shape quite a bit.
02:14 I'm starting underneath my natural brow
02:16 and then I'm also creating more of a straight line
02:19 above my brow and blending this out
02:21 and I am using two different brow pencils
02:23 to make it look more natural
02:25 but of course, just use whatever you have.
02:27 I wanted my brows big and bold
02:30 because the next step is to add some eyelash glue
02:33 to the top of your brow and stick on some fake moss.
02:37 You can find this at the dollar store.
02:38 It's really inexpensive and then just pull some apart
02:41 and once you have lined up the moss as you like it,
02:44 add a little bit of a pigment to your eyebrows
02:47 so they kind of match together.
02:48 So I used MAC's Golden Olive.
02:50 Taking the same bronzer we used on our face,
02:54 I used a smaller blending brush
02:56 and I'm working the shadow into my crease
02:58 and throughout the sides of my nose.
03:00 Take the same darker brown shadow we used to contour
03:04 and with a smaller brush,
03:05 take this above your crease a little bit
03:07 and then into the sides of your nose again.
03:09 Also bring the shadow up before the front of your brow
03:20 and this looks kind of crazy
03:22 but we will make it look like a little tree.
03:24 With a brown gel eyeliner, start drawing bark and branches
03:42 and I like to keep this subtle
03:43 so the look is interesting but still pretty
03:46 and if you don't have gel eyeliner,
03:47 you could try face paint on a small paintbrush
03:50 or just normal eyeliner or a liquid as well.
03:54 So use whatever you have
03:55 and here I'm just fixing up a little contour
03:57 underneath my nose so it's more pixie-like
04:00 and finally, I'm going in for shadows.
04:02 So first I'm using MAC's Golden Olive pigment
04:05 all over my lid and this is one of my favorite pigments.
04:08 It's such a pretty green color.
04:09 To blend the brown eye shadow with the green,
04:18 I'm using MAC's Bronze Shadow
04:19 and I'm using this in the outer V as well as the crease
04:22 and I love this green and the bronze together.
04:24 I think it's so beautiful for an everyday fall look
04:27 if you like to sport a little bit of color
04:29 so I definitely recommend these two eyeshadows.
04:32 Make sure there's no harsh lines
04:34 by blending out the crease color
04:36 and I didn't use a highlight shade.
04:37 I just used a little bit of translucent face powder
04:40 and buffed it back and forth.
04:41 Once the shadows are done, I'm going to move on to eyeliner.
04:46 First I'm tight lining and water lining my eyes
04:49 with a brown eyeliner pencil
04:51 and next I'm going to use my gel eyeliner again
04:54 and I'm creating branches underneath my eyes.
04:56 I made my branches longer on the outside
05:02 and smaller near the inside like eyelashes usually go
05:06 and then I'm just making sure to blend that eyeliner
05:09 in my upper lash line a little bit
05:10 so the whole look blends together.
05:16 Finally for a finishing touch,
05:18 I added some gold eyeliner in my inner corner in a point
05:21 and also at the ends of the branches
05:23 and I'm extending them out a little bit.
05:25 This isn't super dramatic but it does catch the light
05:28 and of course I am curling my lashes
05:30 and applying lots of mascara.
05:33 I use the unique 3D Fiber Lashes after my normal mascara
05:37 so I have a review on this on my blog
05:39 so I will definitely link that down below
05:41 and it kind of gives that branchy look as well.
05:44 (upbeat music)
05:47 We are almost finished with this makeup look
05:48 so lastly I am just using a Sigma lip gloss
05:51 and it's this brownie shimmery shade.
05:53 You could go matte, brown, red, whatever you feel like
05:56 but I thought this was very glam and fairy-like.

06:53 I'm going to show you how to make this really pretty
06:55 headband that I chose to wear for my costume.
06:57 To create this headpiece, all you need is an old headband
07:07 and the first thing to do is take a piece of felt
07:10 that you've cut out in a circle or oval
07:12 and glue it to the base of the headband.
07:15 I am using Krazy Glue but I would suggest to use hot glue.
07:18 I was just waiting for it to heat up
07:20 and once it is really stuck on there,
07:22 I am taking some leaves I got from Michael's
07:25 and I'm attaching it all around the base of the circle.
07:28 I didn't have time to DIY my own leaves
07:30 but you can cut them out with construction paper,
07:33 add a little paint and glitter
07:34 and then I just hot glued my leaves
07:37 all the way around the base of the felt
07:40 and then I have just added two big accessories
07:43 that I also got from Michael's.
07:45 Next I have a black tutu from Shopper's Drug Mart
07:52 and I'm cutting tissue paper out into strips.
07:55 I folded the paper up for a quicker process
07:57 and I'm actually using the Anthropologie tissue paper
08:00 that comes with a bag
08:01 but you can use any other rustic colors.
08:04 I'm also using a red tissue paper
08:06 and you could use greens, pinks, yellows, whatever you like
08:10 and on the innermost layer of the tutu,
08:12 I'm just hot gluing the strips to give it some length
08:15 and a fun texture.
08:16 This tutu is actually really, really short
08:19 and the added texture does give it a tiny bit more length
08:22 and I'm just alternating the colors
08:24 and scrunching up the tissue paper as I go.
08:26 I found fake leaves at the dollar store

08:34 and decorate them with your friends
08:36 or even real leaves
08:37 if you're not going to wear this costume again
08:39 and just start gluing these to the fringe layers
08:41 and then once you're at the top layer,
08:43 go crazy decorating.
08:44 I added a bunch of other decorative leaves and flowers
08:47 and you can do this along the back as well
08:50 but remember that you will have to sit down
08:52 so I didn't even bother with the back
08:53 because I ran out of materials
08:55 so if I actually choose to wear this costume,
08:58 I'll go back and fix it
08:59 but here is the completed look.
09:01 I'm wearing a green dress with a decorated tutu over it
09:16 but a green, brown, black, or white top will do
09:19 and for my shoes, I'm wearing brown boots
09:21 to keep it fall appropriate.
09:23 If you're wondering about my wings,
09:25 I just ripped off the pantyhose-like lining
09:28 over the wire from an existing pair of wings I had
09:30 and wrapped fake flowers from Michael's
09:33 in between the wire and I didn't even use glue.
