Flash floods and landslides wreaked havoc in Eastern Nepal.

About 28 people have been missing and 5 have been confirmed dead in flooding and landslide incidents. Search operation for the missing people is underway.

Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on June 18 expressed grief over reported incidents and directed authorities to revamp search and rescue operations.

As per the disaster management authority, an estimated 1.298 million individuals from 286,998 households will be affected.
