00:03 We gonna do this.
00:04 Uh-huh.
00:04 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:08 Hi, everyone.
00:20 I'm Jonas Rammel, Oriflame's Global Beauty Artistic Director.
00:24 And today, we're backstage at an Oriflame Asian catalog shoot,
00:27 where I'm going to take the opportunity to show you
00:30 how to create a beautiful day and night
00:32 look with just some of my few tips and tricks
00:35 and some great Oriflame products.
00:38 Let's get started.
00:39 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:43 First of all, makeup looks and wears better
00:46 on a perfectly primed face.
00:48 So be sure to cleanse and moisturize your skin
00:51 before you start to put on your makeup.
00:52 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:56 Now, starting on the base for the face,
00:58 the first step is to produce a flawless complexion
01:01 using a concealer.
01:02 This is the quickest and easiest way to even out your skin.
01:06 For me, this is best applied before the foundation
01:09 to cover shadows under the eyes, as well as
01:12 hide any redness of the skin or dark spots.
01:14 [MUSIC PLAYING]
01:18 Next, I'm going to apply a light foundation
01:21 on the center part of the face using a foundation brush,
01:24 starting at the T-zone, the forehead, the nose,
01:28 and the chin.
01:30 Using small strokes, gently blend the foundation
01:33 outwards towards the edges of the face, the hairline,
01:36 and the jawline.
01:38 To bring focus to the center part of the face,
01:41 I use a lighter shade of the foundation,
01:43 and then I blend it together with a slightly darker shade
01:46 towards the edges.
01:47 [MUSIC PLAYING]
01:52 Now, to finish off your makeup base,
01:55 I'm going to set the foundation and dust on some loose powder
01:58 just where it's needed, where it can be extra shiny,
02:02 like on the forehead, a little bit on the sides of the nose,
02:06 and on the chin.
02:07 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:14 After applying concealer and foundation,
02:17 we want to contour the face to make it appear
02:19 slimmer and more defined.
02:21 We do this by using blush and a brush.
02:25 Start by dabbing the brush onto your blusher,
02:28 then press the bristles together and form a line
02:31 from the middle of your ear straight
02:33 towards the outer corner of your lips.
02:37 Start blending back and forth from the ear to your mouth
02:40 and around the cheek.
02:42 Add the contour blush to the temple areas of your face
02:45 to create a slimmer feature.
02:47 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:57 For a healthy and glowing look, we're
02:59 going to apply color on the apples of the cheeks.
03:02 Using a sweep-like motion, apply blush
03:05 from the apples of the cheeks towards the temples
03:08 to diffuse and blend.
03:11 Avoid making the shape too round.
03:14 We want it to appear irregular, so it
03:16 looks more like a natural blush coming from the inside.
03:19 [MUSIC PLAYING]
03:34 The eyebrows are a very important feature of the face.
03:38 Not only do they frame your eyes and make them look bigger,
03:40 they frame your entire face.
03:42 So with well-shaped and well-contoured eyebrows,
03:45 you're going to look even more confident and beautiful.
03:48 [MUSIC PLAYING]
03:52 I'm going to shape and fill in the eyebrows using
03:54 an eyebrow shadow in the shade that's
03:57 closest to the current hair color.
04:00 Working with short and light strokes,
04:02 fill in the eyebrow following its natural shape
04:05 from the beginning of the brow to the arch.
04:08 Then using longer feather-like strokes,
04:11 finish off from the arch to the ends
04:13 to make the brow look longer.
04:16 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:26 Fixate using a brow gel to make sure all the hairs
04:29 are in the right place.
04:30 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:36 Eyeshadows are up next.
04:38 And there are a couple of work-safe looks you can rotate.
04:41 Basically, it's all about subtlety.
04:44 So glittery colors are a no-no.
04:47 Keep them for the weekend.
04:48 Natural colors like whites, taupes, bronzes, and browns,
04:52 and grays, they will look fantastic for the daytime wear.
04:57 I'm starting by applying the lightest shade
04:59 across the entire lid, starting from the inner corner of the eye
05:04 all the way up to the end, then underneath the eyebrow,
05:08 because this is going to enhance the eyebrow shape
05:11 and make the eye come across as bigger and more beautiful.
05:14 [MUSIC PLAYING]
05:18 When we apply the lightest shadow,
05:20 apply a medium-tone shadow that's
05:23 the shade or two darker.
05:25 Today, we're going to use a matte brown on the entire lid,
05:29 blending it up to the crease of the brow.
05:32 Make sure to blend the two shades together.
05:35 This will create a beautiful depth to the eyes.
05:39 [MUSIC PLAYING]
05:42 Now it's time to line the eyes.
05:47 Black looks a little bit harsh for a daytime look,
05:51 so I'm using a dark brown Kohl pencil,
05:54 and I'm applying it to the contour of the lash line.
05:58 I'm then smudging the liner with a brush.
06:01 This will create an illusion of fuller and thicker lashes.
06:05 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:09 If you have straight and stubborn lashes,
06:11 you can try and curl your lashes with an eyelash curler
06:15 before applying the mascara.
06:16 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:20 The final step in creating the eye look
06:22 is, of course, applying the mascara.
06:24 Applying mascara is the best way to maximize
06:27 the beauty of your eyes.
06:29 However, we're not just going to apply the mascara
06:32 from the inside and out.
06:34 We're going to apply it from the inside out.
06:36 We're going to divide the lash line
06:38 into three different sections--
06:40 an inner, a middle, and an outer section.
06:44 I then apply the mascara to the inner part towards the nose,
06:49 the middle part straight up, and the outer part
06:55 straight towards the temples of the face.
06:58 This application technique is going
07:00 to create a fuller and a more fan-like effect
07:03 on the eyes.
07:04 [MUSIC PLAYING]
07:08 Finish off your fresh day look with a perfect lips.
07:11 Natural colors with a hint of pink, browns, or coral
07:15 look great on most women.
07:17 But don't go too light, or it will wash out.
07:20 [MUSIC PLAYING]
07:23 Before you start applying your lipstick,
07:25 always make sure your lips are moisturized.
07:28 [MUSIC PLAYING]
07:32 Next, I will apply a converted lip liner.
07:35 I do this by gently patting a light concealer
07:38 on the center part of the lips to create a pout.
07:41 [MUSIC PLAYING]
07:45 To apply the lipstick, I use a lipstick brush.
07:51 I start by applying the lipstick to the center part of the lips.
07:55 I then apply a light concealer to the center part of the lips.
07:58 To apply the lipstick, I use a lipstick brush.
08:02 This allows me to have a more precise application,
08:04 so it's going to look more professional
08:06 and be more long-lasting.
08:09 Start from the inner corners of your lower lip on both sides,
08:13 and then meet up in the middle.
08:15 When you come to the mid-lower part,
08:20 go a little outside and underneath your original shape.
08:24 This is going to create a special pout.
08:27 Do the same for the upper lip, starting from the inner corners
08:31 and meeting up in the middle.
08:33 [MUSIC PLAYING]
08:37 Now, let's transform your day look to a glamorous evening look.
08:42 It's easier than you think, and you only
08:44 need a few products to do it.
08:47 It's time to play up the eyes and make them more intense.
08:50 Amp up the eyes by aligning the upper lash line
08:55 with a black kohl pencil.
08:56 [MUSIC PLAYING]
08:59 And then blending it together with the existing brown liner.
09:04 Now, frame the eyes to make them more dramatic
09:08 by applying the black eye pencil onto the waterline of the eyes.
09:11 Changing the color of your lips is the easiest way
09:17 to change your look.
09:19 Start by defining the shape of your lips by using a lip liner.
09:23 Fill in the entire lip for a long-lasting and bold lip look.
09:27 Then apply the lipstick using the lip brush.
09:33 [MUSIC PLAYING]
09:43 To finish off, make sure you have a beautiful and velvety complexion
09:48 by touching up the skin using a pressed powder.
09:51 And there you have it.
09:52 It's so easy, and now you're ready to hit the town
09:55 and look fabulous.
09:56 [MUSIC PLAYING]
10:09 You just watched how easy it is to create a beautiful everyday look
10:13 and then transform it into a glamorous evening look.
