00:00 Coffee break with me.
00:02 Woo!
00:03 Hi guys!
00:04 Welcome back to my channel.
00:05 Long time no see.
00:06 Just kidding.
00:07 24 hours ago you and I had a coffee break.
00:08 So in case you missed my big news yesterday or my coffee break where I shared with you
00:14 guys metamorphosis or my quad with ColourPop Cosmetics, I'm going to link that video in
00:19 the description box below because I think you're really going to enjoy it.
00:22 But I basically go through this quad and explain to you the significance of the colors, what
00:27 they represent, swatches, and how awesome they are at transforming eyeshadow bases.
00:34 So I really hope you guys will check out that video if you haven't already.
00:37 But I did have this look in that video and I wanted to kind of wet your toes into the
00:43 possibilities of this quad.
00:45 So I created this really daytime wearable, no I'm just kidding.
00:51 I created this really fun look showing you guys how to use kindness or everybody's favorite
00:58 shadow in this quad.
01:00 I mean, right?
01:01 Right?
01:02 So I'm showing you guys how to use kindness as a transformer all over the lid using a
01:06 black base.
01:07 So if you guys are interested in seeing how I got this look, then please keep watching.
01:13 The first thing you're going to do is take a neutral matte base, whatever base matches
01:17 your skin tone or a little bit lighter to brighten up your eyelid space.
01:22 I will have all of these products listed in the description box below.
01:25 You could also use a concealer if you have one that you prefer to use.
01:30 I like to pat it with my ring finger at first and then I take a synthetic brush.
01:37 We will be using all synthetic brushes for this look today.
01:41 And just blend it out all the way from the base of your lashes all the way to your brow
01:48 bone.
01:52 You're going to take a creamy matte vanilla shade, any type of creamy matte vanilla shade
01:58 that you have, and you're going to apply that the same thing from the base of your lashes
02:03 all the way to your brow bone.
02:08 Now we have a rock star super heavy duty base that is going to ensure that your shadows
02:14 go nowhere.
02:15 A lot of you were telling me that you have problems with your ColourPop shadows creasing
02:20 and I don't have that problem if I just naked put them on my eyelid, but I wanted to make
02:24 sure to show you guys this trick in case you were one of those that have the oily lids
02:29 and you get the creasing because of all the glitter or the shimmer.
02:33 That's one thing you can do is apply a base, then a shadow, and then a base shadow, and
02:38 then proceed with the unicorn magic.
02:40 What I'm going to do is I'm going to take the color Strength.
02:44 And Strength is the satin sort of toffee shade in this quad.
02:50 And I really like this color because even though it's a lighter toffee, it would really
02:55 show up on a lot of skin tones and it can be used as a transition shade, it can be used
03:03 as a color to emphasize the lower lash line.
03:07 It can also be used as a lid shade.
03:09 It's one of those colors that can go in so many directions and even though it leans warm,
03:16 because of the satin effect that it has, it's a multi-purpose shadow.
03:20 So you don't have to restrict yourself to using it as a transition shade.
03:24 Then you're going to take a black eyeshadow crayon or a black base.
03:28 It could be a black waterproof pencil, anything that is a long-wearing black anything, and
03:34 you're going to apply that to the lid.
03:37 So take that and very carefully apply it to your lid and don't go all the way up to the
03:44 crease.
03:45 Stay right below the crease because you're going to blend it out.
03:52 Then what you're going to do is you're going to take a blending brush, maybe a smaller
04:06 one or a more tapered one, and you're going to take the color Bravery.
04:11 That is the coffee color or the chocolate brown.
04:15 I love this brown because I don't know if it's warm, I don't know if it's neutral, it's
04:20 one of those browns that just looks delicious.
04:23 Have you ever seen a brown eyeshadow where you're like, "Damn, that eyeshadow looks delicious.
04:28 It looks like chocolate."
04:30 That's what the shadow looks like.
04:32 This is one of those browns that can be used in the crease, in the lower lash line, all
04:37 over the lid.
04:38 It can be a really great transition shade if you take just a tiny bit and really blend
04:44 it out for those of you that have a medium or deeper skin tone.
04:48 What I'm doing now is I'm taking Bravery and I'm putting it in between the black shadow
04:54 that we used and Strength.
04:58 So just put that right into the crease and take your time blending it out.
05:05 The key with ColourPop shadows is to use synthetic brushes if you have them.
05:09 Then I'm going to go back with Strength, the toffee shade, and I'm going to reapply it
05:16 to this area right here.
05:18 I want to make sure that it doesn't get lost.
05:20 You want it to be a really beautiful gradient.
05:26 Now take a smaller blending brush, like say, where is this guy?
05:31 A little one like this, and you're going to dip it back into Bravery and that's going
05:38 to go in the lower lash line.
05:40 So we already applied Strength and then this one is going to go really tight, close to
05:44 our lashes.
05:46 And I'm just using the same brush.
05:52 Take that water resistant whatever you're using again and you're going to apply that
05:56 to the water line and the tight line.
06:03 This part's always tricky because it makes my eyes super red, but eventually it'll go
06:07 away so don't worry.
06:08 It doesn't hurt.
06:09 Then take a small smudger and whatever kind of spilled over into your lashes, just blend
06:15 it out gently.
06:16 So you kind of smoke out this area and it balances out the drama of this eyeshadow look.
06:24 Now it's time for the most important part of the entire look.
06:28 When we're going to use Kindness, can we please take a minute to rejoice in the beauty that
06:35 is this shadow?
06:36 Isn't it perfection?
06:37 So you're just going to take your trusty old ring finger, no tools needed, and you're going
06:42 to apply that everywhere that you put the black base.
06:46 So this is what's going to happen.
06:52 Do you see how the black base pulls the turquoise out of the shadow?
06:58 And this is what you're going to discover out of all of these eyeshadows is depending
07:03 on the base that you use, you're going to pull a different color out every time.
07:08 If you use a brown base, you're going to pull out almost like a purple or maroon base.
07:17 If you use a cream colored base, you're going to pull out like a golden pink type of shade.
07:25 Am I making any sense?
07:26 I really hope I'm making sense.
07:28 So right now with the black base, you see you're like, "Holy, what is that?
07:32 That's like a peacock shade."
07:34 And if I were to have used Bravery as my base, this chocolate, it would have given me a really
07:39 beautiful almost golden plum shade.
07:43 It's amazing.
07:44 These shadows, there's a reason it took us this long, you guys.
07:48 They're amazing.
07:49 What I'm going to do is I'm going to apply liquid liner, and I got this really dramatic
07:54 wing going on, a couple of coats of mascara, and some false lashes.
07:59 But because that makes me nervous, I'm probably going to fast forward through it.
08:03 So just sit tight and hold your breath for me.
08:10 And that's the completed look.
08:26 What do you guys think?
08:27 Transformation, right?
08:28 So, okay, if you want to be successful at using ColourPop shadows, because I know a
08:36 lot of times you guys are like, "Oh, I don't know how to use them.
08:38 They're so strange.
08:39 The texture is weird."
08:40 I suggest using a really good base, a really great base, like a concealer or maybe a paint
08:47 pot, and then going over it with a neutral shadow or even a setting powder, and use all
08:52 synthetic brushes.
08:54 Synthetic brushes are going to be your friend when it comes to ColourPop cosmetics, even
08:59 cheek products and all of their products.
09:02 Synthetic brushes are your best friend.
09:04 So you know how I feel about transformers or transformer shadows or transformer lip
09:09 glosses, robots in disguise.
09:12 I love them.
09:13 I love them because they give you so many possibilities.
09:15 I mean, they inspire your creativity, and you basically have like 700 eyeshadows in
09:21 one quad.
09:22 So it's a really, really awesome trick.
09:25 It's basically a sheer duochrome that is going to inspire you, and that's what it's all about,
09:30 right?
09:31 So if you want to know more about the reasoning behind this quad, how it came about, and some
09:36 up-close swatches of these shadows, I'm going to link the birth story of this quad with
09:41 ColourPop cosmetics in the description box below so that you guys can click on it and
09:46 perhaps become inspired.
09:47 I'll also link all of the tools and products in addition to the quad that I used in this
09:54 tutorial in the description because I always take care of my pandas.
09:58 You know how I do.
09:59 That is like a Cliff's Notes wealth of knowledge description jam-packed information section
10:09 of life.
10:10 You know what I'm saying?
10:11 You know what I'm saying.
10:12 Anyway, I really hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial.
10:15 Look out for more.
10:16 I mean, I want to do more for you guys because I want to show you guys how awesome these
10:21 shadows are.
10:22 When you see them together, you're like, "Huh, do those really go together?"
10:25 But trust me, they do, and they will inspire you.
10:28 I think that's it, guys.
10:29 Please let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
10:30 And as always, if you found this video useful, entertaining, or learned something, please
10:31 give me a thumbs up or subscribe if you haven't already.
10:32 And until next time, this coffee break is over.
10:33 Bye, guys.
