00:00 Hey guys, it's Jen and today I wanted to share with you my February favorites
00:04 and I have some things that I've been really using a lot, like really, really consistently this month
00:10 plus things that I like kind of rediscovered that were in my stash
00:14 so let's go ahead and get started.
00:17 First of all, I wanted to mention my foundation I've been using.
00:21 I have been traveling a ton this last month
00:24 so my skin just kind of exploded in some lovely cystic acne goodness
00:30 so I decided to go back to my baseline, which is mineral makeup
00:35 because it doesn't break me out and it kind of helps my skin reset back to a healthy state.
00:40 This is the one that I'm using. It's the Bare Minerals Original Foundation in Medium Beige
00:47 and actually, if you apply it the right way, it gives you just as much coverage as a regular liquid foundation.
00:52 For blushes, I have two favorites this month.
00:54 I have this MAC RiRi Collection blush. It's the Good Girl Gone Bad one.
01:00 This was from her fall release and I just really like it.
01:04 It's a nice earthy, brownish, warm rose tone
01:08 and this is great for just like every day or when I want to look a little bit more sun-kissed
01:13 and then this is the one where I want to look more like I have a pinker flush.
01:18 This is the Clinique Cheek Pop blush in #3 Berry Pop
01:24 and I actually really love these blushes. They're super long-lasting.
01:28 I just did a review of all of these with swatches and everything.
01:31 I'll leave a link down below if you're interested in seeing more information about these blushes
01:35 because they're awesome.
01:36 This one is super, super bright. It's very pigmented.
01:40 So if you're about my skin color or darker, this is going to be a great color for you.
01:44 Otherwise, I would recommend the #04 which is kind of in the same color family but not quite as pigmented.
01:51 I love all of them though. They're really amazing and they're super, super cute.
01:55 Next, moving on to eye products, I wanted to share a rediscovered favorite.
02:01 This is my favorite eye pencil. It is the Leo Elliott Artist Auto Eyebrow.
02:06 You guys know I've loved this for like years.
02:09 I use shade grey black and I think it just is a really nice grey that doesn't have any brown tones in it at all.
02:16 So if you just have natural black hair, then I recommend this because it's just a really nice grey shade
02:22 that looks very natural and it's what I'm wearing today again.
02:27 So if you want to see what it looks like, that's what it looks like.
02:29 It's really nice because it has the pencil on one end. It's angle-shaped already so it's kind of ergonomic.
02:35 And then on the other end, there's the spoolie so you can kind of like brush out the color so it looks really natural.
02:41 And then this is maybe my favorite thing in the entire monthly favorites this month.
02:47 This is the Eyeko I Do Liquid Eyeliner.
02:52 This is part of the Alexa Chung collection that they recently came out with
02:56 where it's this eyeliner and they also have a mascara.
02:59 If you followed me for a while, you know this is just my absolute favorite eyeliner.
03:04 I love Eyeko's eyeliners because they're very, very black and pigmented and waterproof.
03:10 They don't run down my face at the end of the day and they are so super fast and easy to work with.
03:15 And you just get a really nice precise line.
03:18 It doesn't take a super, super steady hand to get a nice line with this.
03:22 This is one of my holy grails. If you haven't tried it, absolutely try it.
03:26 I know they sell Eyeko eyeliners at Sephora so check it out.
03:29 The next product I wanted to talk about is a lip balm.
03:33 I don't know if you guys have heard about this particular one,
03:36 but it's one of the best hydrating lip balms out there on the market.
03:41 It's the Jack Black Lip Balm.
03:43 The flavor that I have is black tea and blackberry, which I love.
03:47 I'm a big fan of fruit. I'm a big fan of tea.
03:50 It's just a really nice scent that's not too floral or overpowering.
03:54 Plus, it's kind of masculine.
03:56 So if you guys want to give your boyfriends or husbands a really nice present
04:01 that they're not going to feel too girly using, this is a fabulous choice.
04:05 I brought it with me when I went to New York City when it was like 2 degrees outside
04:09 and my husband was stealing this basically every chance he could get.
04:12 Plus, it has a more matte finish compared to other lip balms.
04:15 It's not going to look too glossy.
04:17 And I feel like when I use this as a base to put lipstick on top of,
04:22 it doesn't just make it all slick and slide off like a really shiny, glossy lip balm.
04:27 And it's also SPF 25 so you're going to get a little bit of sun protection as well,
04:31 which is really important for your lip.
04:32 My next product I wanted to talk about is the Apieu Kissable Tint Stick SPF 14 PA+.
04:39 So I talked about Apieu the last couple of months
04:42 and I've just been really impressed with their products.
04:45 This one I love especially because it's one of those tint sticks, you know,
04:49 the ones that are just kind of like a lip balm,
04:51 but then they change to a color according to your own lip and natural chemistry,
04:57 which I like the idea of those,
04:59 but every single time I've tried them in the past,
05:01 they just turn a bright cherry red.
05:04 And this one is nice because on me at least,
05:06 it turns a nice light, natural-looking pink with just a hint of gloss,
05:11 which for me is perfect for every day.
05:13 It's a great MLBB without actually being colored.
05:18 Anyway, I love it.
05:19 It's really hydrating and I don't need a mirror to put it on,
05:22 so it's very low-maintenance.
05:23 If you guys have the same problem as me
05:25 where all of the magic tint sticks just turn scarlet,
05:29 then this is a good one to check out.
05:31 Again, this is a Korean product,
05:33 so for those of you in the US, you might need to check online for it.
05:36 And nice little tip,
05:38 a few of you guys told me that Apieu is actually a sister company to Missha,
05:43 which I did not know the first time I talked about it, so good to know.
05:46 And then my last favorite for this month is this little guy right here.
05:52 This is the Bosch Kognac Sponge,
05:55 and it's actually a natural sponge that you use to just wash your face.
06:00 It's cool.
06:01 You put it under water and it kind of puffs up,
06:04 and then just like put your face wash in it, squeeze it a few times,
06:08 and it gives a nice, really gentle exfoliation every time you wash your face.
06:12 And because it has so much more surface area
06:16 because of all the little holes and stuff in the sponge itself,
06:19 it's way more extra cleansing than using just your hands.
06:23 Thank you for those of you guys who recommend this to me.
06:26 It's a really cool product,
06:27 and the one I have is actually infused with charcoal,
06:31 which is also extra oil and dirt absorbing.
06:34 So I guess that's about it for this month's favorites.
06:37 I hope you guys enjoyed watching.
06:38 If you did, don't forget to give this video a thumbs up
06:41 and subscribe to this channel for more videos.
06:44 This is Jen, and I will talk to you guys next time.
06:47 Bye.
06:47 Hey guys, it's Jen.
06:49 And obviously today I'm back in my bathroom again
06:51 because I wanted to share with you what is in my shower.
06:55 His and hers, Salix body scrubbers.
06:58 If you guys are Asian, you probably already know what this is,
07:00 but they're like really exfoliating.
