00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:03 I'm Micky Contractor, and I'm a Bollywood makeup artist.
00:10 Today we are going to do the Bollywood smoky eye, which
00:13 is a deep brown and black smoky eye.
00:18 Just using a little bit of cream color base on her eye.
00:21 What the cream color base does is
00:23 that it grabs the powder eyeshadow really well,
00:25 keeps it on for long periods of time,
00:28 and also does not let the eyeshadow crease.
00:32 Then I'm going to lightly powder it.
00:34 Now this is important, because otherwise, as soon as you
00:37 put a powder eyeshadow on it directly,
00:39 it's going to start congealing, and you'll
00:41 have too much of the product in one place.
00:45 I'm now going to put fluid line on the lid.
00:48 Very easy, very soft, and not too definite.
00:53 And quickly before it dries, I'm taking a pencil brush
00:57 and starting to blend it.
00:59 Closest to the lashes, I want it dark, and then grading upwards.
01:03 I was the first one who started doing smoky eyes in Bollywood.
01:07 It hasn't changed much, except we always more or less
01:09 use two colors to do the smoky eye rather than one.
01:13 It just adds an extra dimension.
01:17 As you keep the application going,
01:19 I think the blending becomes very important.
01:22 I'm going to use this brown eyeshadow
01:25 and go even over the liner that I've just done and blend it.
01:31 I'm going to start smoking it out with black
01:33 on the outer corners with carbon.
01:36 As a highlighter, I prefer to use Studio Fix Powder, something
01:45 that's very close to her own skin tone.
01:47 We make it clean here with Studio Fix Powder
01:50 so that it's not too sharp, because I like the smoky eye
01:53 to be very blended.
01:55 Let's take Feline Pencil.
01:58 Just warm it up a little bit on my hand
02:00 and put it on the waterline.
02:05 I'm going to go straight into mascara.
02:08 This particular mascara is in extreme dimension.
02:11 It's really mind-blowing, I think.
02:13 Not only does it give you thickness and length,
02:17 it also gives you a nice feathery feel.
02:18 I think it's the brush that's doing the trick for you.
02:22 So now, one more time, I'm going to take Folly on a pencil brush
02:25 and start the bottom lid.
02:27 Pulling it out again.
02:30 And I'll take a flat brush and just blend it off one more time.
02:37 Taking Carbon on a slant brush, just going very close
02:40 to the lash line.
02:41 Continue the black and brown story.
02:44 I'm going to just stretch it out a little bit here.
02:48 Now, I'm just going to take this lipstick called Yash.
02:52 Just with my fingertip, dab it on.
02:56 Last bit, just take on a little bit of translucent powder.
02:59 So the Bollywood beauty is ready.
