00:02 Ah, coffee break with me, woo!
00:09 So this is literally the hottest cup of coffee I've had
00:13 since before Tater was born.
00:15 That's crazy.
00:18 Okay, first of all, let me address one concern.
00:21 My coffee break with me, woo, was totally born on accident.
00:26 I was just being a goofball.
00:28 I was recording my very first video and it just came out
00:31 and it sort of became my thing.
00:33 And if it's obnoxious, please fast forward
00:36 the first like five seconds of this video
00:38 and I promise you, you don't have to hear it.
00:41 Second of all, this makeup look was so controversial
00:46 when I did the RiRi Loves Mac haul and review.
00:53 It was like divided.
00:55 Half of the people hated it and let me know
00:58 and half of the people loved it and let me know.
01:00 So this makeup look is the same exact makeup look
01:03 that I also have in my Sephora haul
01:07 from when my mom was visiting,
01:09 but the only difference is I changed the lip color.
01:11 Right now I'm wearing nude by the Rihanna Matte Collection,
01:16 but in the Sephora haul, I'm wearing the Rimmel Kate
01:21 number 17, which is my all time number one
01:24 favorite drugstore lipstick.
01:26 So many of you asked to see this eye look.
01:32 I posted it on Twitter, I posted it on Instagram,
01:36 which of the eyeshadows they were,
01:38 but because normally when a lot of people don't like
01:41 a makeup look, I don't do a tutorial,
01:43 even though a lot of people ask,
01:45 but because this is a Vice palette or Vice 2 palette look
01:50 and I'm so behind on those tutorials
01:52 that I promised I would do for you guys,
01:54 I thought, hey, 50% of the people wanna see it,
01:57 so let's give 'em what they want.
01:59 So I am using the Vice 2 palette to do this eyeshadow look
02:04 and I know I always tell you this look is easy.
02:08 No, girls, this look is easy.
02:11 It's two eyeshadows out of this palette.
02:14 Like, seriously, super, super easy.
02:17 Oh, look, you guys.
02:18 Wait, hold on.
02:19 Can you see 'em?
02:20 I'm actually wearing jeans today.
02:22 I'm not wearing pajama bottoms.
02:24 Check me out.
02:25 I'm like a grownup.
02:25 So this look is so easy.
02:29 I know I always say it.
02:30 I always tell you I'm not a makeup artist because I'm not.
02:33 I am a mom and I just like to play with makeup.
02:36 So because you guys enjoyed this eye look,
02:40 I thought, hey, why not?
02:42 I'm gonna go ahead and do it for my beauties.
02:44 So if you wanna see how I got this look,
02:46 please keep watching.
02:47 Okay, let's go ahead and get started.
02:49 I already did one eye and before I get whipped
02:52 and stoned to death or burned like a witch,
02:56 the reason that I like to start tutorials
02:58 with one eye done already is in case you're watching
03:02 this video trying to replicate the look,
03:05 you kind of have a final product
03:08 so you know if you're doing it right.
03:10 So instead of having to fast forward to the end
03:14 or rewind to the beginning, you have a constant checkpoint
03:18 where you could verify if your look is working out
03:23 the way it's supposed to.
03:24 So that's my preference.
03:27 Sometimes I do it the other way where I start off
03:30 with no makeup on and then I do one slowly
03:34 and then I do one in fast forward.
03:36 It really depends what mood I'm in.
03:38 So I hope you appreciate this teaching style of mine.
03:43 For me, I've noticed that it gives me reassurance
03:48 when I'm trying to do a tutorial
03:51 or when I'm trying to copy a makeup tutorial
03:53 from another YouTube girl.
03:56 So I hope you like it.
03:57 Let's go ahead and get started.
03:59 And I know I say um a lot, relax.
04:02 The first thing you're going to need
04:04 is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough As Taupe
04:08 and I've had this color tattoo for a while
04:12 and I always forget to use it.
04:14 The reason I never used it was because
04:16 I bought it on accident.
04:18 It wasn't the color I wanted
04:19 and this was before I even knew you could exchange
04:21 or return cosmetics at the drugstore.
04:24 So it's actually really pretty.
04:27 It's a cool tone brown.
04:29 It's almost on the gray side
04:31 and when you swatch it on your finger,
04:32 it looks really dark.
04:34 But then when you apply it to your eyelid,
04:36 it's really pretty.
04:37 The problem with these is you have to put them on
04:40 and blend them as quickly as you can
04:42 because once they dry, they are staying put.
04:45 The other thing is it's a cool tone brown.
04:49 I have warm to neutral undertones
04:52 and it looks nice on me.
04:53 So this is one of those universal brown colors
04:57 that would be flattering for warm,
04:59 neutral and cool undertones.
05:02 So just take a little bit on your middle finger
05:04 or your ring finger.
05:05 You see it looks gray.
05:07 And then just blend it all over your lid.
05:10 You guys see what I'm talking about?
05:12 It's not really too dark.
05:16 You're gonna put it all over your lid
05:18 and then whatever you have left,
05:19 a little bit up towards the crease.
05:22 Not too much.
05:23 You don't wanna go too high
05:23 because then otherwise you will definitely look like a panda.
05:27 I already look like a panda.
05:28 I don't wanna look like a super-sized extra panda.
05:32 So up to your crease.
05:33 And remember, you have to move really fast
05:35 because once it sets, it's stuck.
05:38 Just like that.
05:42 And then you're gonna go in with your Vice 2 palette
05:46 and you're going to grab the color.
05:49 What is this color called?
05:50 It's called Derailed.
05:51 I should have already learned it by now.
05:53 Right here, Derailed.
05:56 It's like the prettiest pewter, like a gunmetal gray.
06:00 But it's just so strange
06:02 because it doesn't take on that color.
06:05 And I'm just going to pack a shader brush with the color.
06:09 You know, my e.l.f. shader brush.
06:13 This is my other husband.
06:16 And just pack that onto the lid.
06:18 You don't wanna go above the crease.
06:20 You wanna stay just focused on your lid.
06:25 When I used this eyeshadow,
06:26 I was impressed with how amazing the quality is
06:29 because I had absolutely 100% zero fallout.
06:35 I was so, so, so impressed.
06:37 Then take a naked or a clean shader brush
06:41 or blending brush like the MAC 217
06:44 and you are going to fluff that in your crease
06:49 to soften out the line that you created
06:52 with the derailed eyeshadow.
06:56 So you're basically taking this brush,
06:59 half on your crease, half on the gray shadow,
07:03 and then just blowing it out really softly
07:06 because you don't want any harsh lines.
07:08 I always get hater comments on here that say,
07:10 "You don't know how to blend.
07:12 "Your eyeshadow looks are so bad."
07:15 And you know what I say to those comments?
07:17 Nothing, 'cause they ain't worth my time.
07:20 I got better things to do, like play with my tater.
07:25 So just like that, and then this same brush,
07:28 dip it into the eyeshadow.
07:31 It's like a really pretty brown eyeshadow
07:33 called Rewind.
07:34 I'm totally obsessed with this one.
07:35 I use it almost in all my Vice 2 palette looks.
07:38 So take that, a little bit of that,
07:42 on your blending brush, and then apply that in the crease.
07:47 And that's just gonna warm it up a little bit.
07:49 Then you're going to take whatever is left over
07:52 on your shader brush and then just put that
07:55 in your lower lash line.
07:58 You wanna be careful because this is a dark color,
08:00 so the last thing you wanna do is look like a raccoon.
08:04 So apply that really carefully to your lower lash line.
08:09 Then take your favorite eyelash curler
08:11 and curl those lashes, girl.
08:14 Curl them really well.
08:15 You always wanna curl extra well
08:18 when you have a dark eyeshadow on your eyelid,
08:20 because if you're wearing such a dark color,
08:23 you want your eyelashes to still show up.
08:26 And if you don't curl them properly,
08:29 they'll basically get lost in the darkness of your eyeshadow.
08:32 So curl your lashes.
08:34 Apply some waterproof black liner.
08:40 I basically just outline the rim of my eye
08:54 with a waterproof black liner.
08:56 And then apply a couple of coats of your favorite mascara.
08:59 (upbeat music)
09:06 And that's it, you guys.
09:15 I know I always say super easy,
09:17 so I think I'll change it up today.
09:19 I'll say, "Está fácil, no?" (laughs)
09:22 In Spanish.
09:23 It is easy, it is.
09:25 And I want you guys to know
09:26 that I didn't just rave about this palette
09:30 so that you would buy it
09:31 and then have no intention of showing you how to use it.
09:34 It is a very multi-purpose, super worth it palette.
09:38 So if you haven't gotten it,
09:40 hopefully you can still do the Friends and Family discount,
09:42 but it's a palette that is completely worth your money.
09:46 Here is a neutral, it's kind of like a neutral smoky eye.
09:50 I don't personally like to do smoky eyes
09:53 with black eyeshadow because I told you guys before,
09:56 I'm a beast with my eyeshadow.
09:58 So it ends up, like, I'll have black eyeshadow
10:02 on my shoulder, like that's how wild I am with my eyeshadow.
10:05 So this is kind of a take on a smoky eye.
10:08 It is a, kind of like a gunmetal gray,
10:10 and then you have a little bit of a brown on the crease
10:13 to neutralize it or warm it up a little bit.
10:16 But super easy.
10:17 I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial.
10:19 Let me know if you found it useful.
10:21 Tag me if you do this look.
10:22 Subscribe to me if you haven't already.
10:25 And the last thing,
10:26 how do you guys like my rockabilly ponytail?
10:28 So my normal hairstyle is a ponytail.
10:32 You know, you guys know I film once a week.
10:35 So I always have a ponytail.
10:37 Well, today was one of those days where I'm like,
10:38 hey, seven days a week ponytail, sounds all right with me.
10:42 But I kind of wanted to switch it up,
10:43 so I hope you guys like this unique 50s look.
10:47 It really wasn't meant to be that.
10:50 I was supposed to, I was trying to do like a poof,
10:53 and it just wouldn't work out,
10:54 and my hair wasn't cooperating.
10:55 So I was like, okay, stupid hair,
10:58 you wanna go to the side?
10:59 I'll pin you to the side, but you ain't going nowhere.
11:02 So that is it for this makeup tutorial.
11:05 Please like and subscribe if you haven't already.
11:07 And this coffee break is over.
