00:00 Hello, darlings, and welcome back to the Luxie Hair channel.
00:03 Jenny of Margot and Me here, and today I'm
00:04 going to share one of my favorite hairstyles with you
00:07 that's perfect for Valentine's Day.
00:10 For years, I've taken cues from Bridget Bardot,
00:13 the ultimate French girl with serious hair goals.
00:16 Her iconic hairstyle has forever influenced
00:18 my love of volumous hair.
00:20 It's effortlessly shaped, perfectly textured,
00:22 and her signature updo makes for the most romantic Valentine's
00:25 Day look.
00:26 I'm sure you guys have seen 100 Bridget Bardot tutorials,
00:29 so today is a play on that style.
00:31 The secret to this look is to achieve
00:33 that undone, done, volumous look on the crown of your head.
00:36 We'll be using two of Luxie's 160G Chestnut Brown,
00:40 both with three clips.
00:42 In addition to that, you'll need one teasing comb, a few bobby
00:46 pins, and a curling iron.
00:48 Don't forget hairspray and texturizing spray.
00:52 I like to begin by spraying dry shampoo throughout my already
00:55 messy, sometimes dirty hair to give it a little bit of texture
00:58 and definitely an extra hold.
01:00 Next, you'll want to work the product through your hair,
01:02 rubbing it in and messing it up a little bit.
01:05 This will give you that signature texture,
01:07 and it'll make it easier to curl your entire head.
01:10 Run your fingers through it to loosen it up a little bit.
01:13 Section your hair, starting with the middle part.
01:15 The first section should be right
01:17 behind your bangs, the piece that you
01:19 are going to leave out.
01:20 The front pieces will become your fringe.
01:22 I have real fringe, but you can do faux bangs
01:25 by splitting them down the middle
01:26 and then twisting inwards and pinning down
01:28 right above your ear.
01:30 The next step is to create that glorious volume
01:33 that we all love by teasing small sections
01:35 in a downward motion, starting with the one that you created
01:38 and working your way back until you have
01:40 all of that volume in place.
01:42 Don't forget to spray so the teasing holds.
01:45 Then you're going to gently comb all of this teased hair
01:48 into place to create the shape that you want.
01:50 Then pin to hold at the crown of your head
01:52 before really creating that perky, tousled ponytail.
01:57 Then we're going to simply grab the remainder of your hair
02:00 and throw it up into a classic ponytail.
02:02 Backcomb it a bit to give it a little extra volume.
02:05 And then to finish, wrap a piece of hair around your elastic.
