00:12 It's Mimi here today and today I'm going to be showing you a really cool and romantic feminine braid.
00:18 I'm all into romantic braids.
00:19 So I saw this hairstyle on Instagram.
00:22 I follow this brilliant photographer.
00:24 Her name is Zhanna Romashka and she's absolutely beautiful.
00:27 And she was I think in Moscow and she was wearing this incredible dress with open back and like embellished flowers.
00:34 And she was wearing her hair in this really simple but beautiful braid.
00:38 So pretty much she had kind of the sides twisted from both sides and then you know there was the braid.
00:44 It looked incredible and when I saw it I was like I must recreate this for myself and to obviously show you guys as well.
00:50 Now to see how to create this incredible braid keep on watching.
00:53 Alright so you're going to be needing a few simple hair tools for this hairstyle.
00:57 One of the most important thing is a teasing brush.
01:00 Also some hair elastics. You can't really see them.
01:02 And I'm wearing my Luxie hair extensions because for this hairstyle I definitely need all the volume and thickness I can get.
01:08 The first thing I'm going to do is just tease the hair here at the crown of my head.
01:12 If you don't want to tease your hair you can skip that step but I think it just makes a huge difference.
01:16 So I'm just going to take my brush and I'm not even using any hairspray
01:19 because I'm just going to be lightly teasing it just to create just a little bit of volume.
01:23 Because it's a bit flat up there so I'm just going to quickly do it kind of not paying attention to too much.
01:30 If I'm doing it properly or not just really fast just take the brush go up and down.
01:36 No sectioning required.
01:38 And throw it back.
01:40 Maybe pick up just a little bit of hair on the sides.
01:43 Just going to do one more here.
01:45 And that's really it.
01:47 I'm going to take my brush now and just smooth out this hair.
01:51 The first thing I'm going to do I'm going to actually section this side bangs
01:55 because I want to keep them out but you can also twist them if you want.
01:58 And I'm going to take this first section here at my left and I'm going to twist it.
02:03 And then what I'm going to do next is add a section to it from the bottom.
02:07 So the section that's right under it.
02:10 And then I'm going to continue twisting.
02:12 And then I'm going to add another section.
02:15 And keep twisting it.
02:17 So this is pretty much the whole process.
02:19 And you want to twist it all the way back and down.
02:21 So add a section.
02:23 Twist it.
02:25 Now once I get to the end of the twist I'm just going to grab my elastic.
02:37 And I'm just going to secure this twist with an elastic.
02:42 Now I'm going to go ahead and do the exact same thing on my right side.
02:46 So I'm just going to grab a section and then twist it first.
02:50 Add a section underneath.
02:52 Keep twisting it.
02:54 If you have long hair make sure it doesn't get tangled as you twist it.
02:58 So just run your fingers through the hair.
03:00 And then add another section.
03:03 And do it all the way back.
03:09 And secure the ends with an elastic again.
03:13 This is a beautiful hairstyle on its own.
03:19 So you can either stop here and it would be like sort of a twisted ponytail.
03:23 Or you can go all the way and do the braid.
03:26 And that's actually the hardest part.
03:28 Because if you have long hair and you're braiding back.
03:30 You know it gets a little bit tiring for the arms.
03:32 So I'm going to go all the way and show you how to do the braid.
03:35 Now I'm going to take this right twist.
03:37 And this is going to act like section 1.
03:40 The hair in the middle will be section 2.
03:42 And the hair, the twist in the left is going to be section 3.
03:46 I'm going to take these 3 strands and I'm going to start doing a regular braid.
03:51 Now at first it's easy but as you go down it becomes harder.
03:56 So when my arms start hurting I'm going to bring it to the side.
03:59 And finish the braid on the side.
04:01 And I'm just going to finish the braid on the side.
04:07 I'm just going to secure the ends with an elastic.
04:10 We're not finished yet.
04:12 I'm going to go back and I'm going to start fanning out the braid.
04:15 Because that's going to make the biggest of the difference.
04:17 You know it's going to make the braid look twice as big.
04:19 So I'm just going to go back and I'm just going to grab each section.
04:22 And slowly and carefully start pulling it out.
04:25 And your hairstyle is done!
