00:00 Coffee break with me.
00:04 Hi guys.
00:05 Welcome back to my channel.
00:07 Ever since I have started my channel, everyone asks me about the stuff that's behind me.
00:13 My storage solutions, what I use to keep my stuff, my makeup, how I organize it.
00:19 If you've been following me for a while, you know I'm an obsessive organizer.
00:22 I love to organize.
00:24 I love to have a place for everything and everything in its place.
00:29 It makes me feel good.
00:31 This is the happiest that I've been with all my containers, with the way everything is
00:36 set up, with how easy it is for me to find everything.
00:39 So I'm going to go through and share my storage solutions with you guys.
00:43 I will link them down below if I can find them.
00:47 I'll show you generally what containers I use.
00:52 Basically I'm a fan of three or four brands.
00:54 I'm a fan of By Allegory for all the lipstick and eye shadow clear acrylic holders.
01:01 I'm a huge fan of The Container Store.
01:03 I'm a huge fan of Muji.
01:06 Muji is a Japanese Ikea type.
01:11 I guess it's a really good ... I hope I don't insult anyone, but to me it reminds me of
01:16 like a Japanese Ikea.
01:17 Then what else do I have?
01:18 A couple things that I've bought from Amazon and then Marshalls or TJ Maxx or one of those
01:27 stores.
01:28 You know what I mean?
01:29 They're all the same store.
01:30 So the first two things that I want to share with you are actually brand new and I want
01:33 to get them out of the way because I haven't really found a place for them yet, but I'm
01:38 so excited to have them.
01:39 These are from By Allegory and the first one is a single eye shadow holder.
01:44 This is where I keep all of my Violet Voss glitters.
01:48 If you guys are interested in a glitter review or tutorial, I really want to do one for you
01:52 guys.
01:53 I'm actually wearing one of the glitters today.
01:54 I think ... which one am I wearing?
01:55 I think I'm wearing this one.
01:56 Is it this one?
01:57 Brenda?
01:58 No, no, no.
01:59 I'm wearing this one.
02:00 Tristan.
02:01 I'm wearing this glitter, Tristan, on the inner corner of my eye.
02:07 But this is where I keep my glitters and I really like to keep them here because I can
02:12 see them.
02:13 Glitters are really hard to see, especially when they have the logo up at the top.
02:16 It's hard to see the color, so it's really important to stand them up sideways.
02:20 You could also use ice cube trays, but I'm kind of a snob and everything is in clear
02:24 acrylic so this was only fitting.
02:26 The container that I have is a paint pot container.
02:29 This is designed for Mac paint pots so that you could put them here and, I don't know,
02:35 have them organized or displayed, but I store my paint pots upside down so that they don't
02:40 dry out and I can see the color and they're kind of jiggly in here.
02:43 So I don't like this for paint pots.
02:45 What I think I'm going to end up doing is using this paint pot holder for my bigger
02:50 earrings in my jewelry armoire.
02:52 So it's the perfect size for the drawer and it's a really great way to organize your jewelry
02:58 without having to add another distraction to the drawer because it's already clear.
03:02 But if you guys are interested in By Allegory, they have clear pink, solid white, clear black,
03:09 solid black, solid pink, purple, clear purple.
03:13 They have so many colors.
03:14 And I usually get By Allegory stuff on Amazon.
03:16 But those are the two newest By Allegory things that I've added to my collection.
03:21 The other thing that I want to talk to you guys about, it's not really makeup related,
03:26 it's more nail polish related, but because I already did a nail polish storage video,
03:32 which I will link down below, I never talked about this because I just received it and
03:37 I'm so excited.
03:38 This is the Color Clutch nail polish organizer.
03:44 And I really, really wanted to talk to you guys about this because most people don't
03:50 have a collection like mine.
03:52 Let's be real.
03:53 Most people don't have a bookshelf full of nail polish.
03:55 Most people have 20 nail polishes, their favorite colors.
04:00 And it's important to be able to store them in a way where it's going to preserve your
04:04 polish, it's going to keep it from breaking or spilling, and it's not going to take up
04:08 a lot of room.
04:09 Polish takes up a lot of room.
04:11 It's a little bottle, but it's hard to display or to store.
04:14 So a solution like this is great.
04:17 This is almost like a cardboard organizer with this very unique cut foam.
04:26 Basically, any bottle of polish will fit in here.
04:30 Your favorite polishes, whatever you have.
04:32 When I saw this at first, I was like, "How does any bottle fit in there?"
04:35 I mean, it's all the same size holes.
04:38 There's no way that's going to happen.
04:40 But if you guys follow me on Instagram, I posted a really short video with Tater showing
04:44 you guys how it works.
04:46 And these foams are cut so unique where there's a hole in here.
04:51 There's like, it's like a raised foam on the inside, so it allows longer necks to fit in
04:58 there and feel really safe.
04:59 Let me show you guys this one.
05:02 This is a short and fat bottle from Nails, Inc.
05:06 You put it in, like, neck first and then push it down and it fits.
05:11 Revlon bottles, those are usually, I mean, they're known for being long, a little cumbersome
05:16 and long.
05:17 And you see, you're like, "Well, it's not going to fit in there."
05:20 If you go in neck first, it fits perfectly.
05:24 So if you have a smaller, more decent, reasonable nail polish collection, this is a really great
05:30 way to keep them safe without knocking over.
05:33 But if you have a collection like me, you guys know how I have mine organized.
05:37 You've seen the video before.
05:38 But one of my subscribers, which is also a YouTuber, her name is Dani, she was like,
05:46 "Wait, that's like a Z palette for your nail polish."
05:50 And I had never been so, like, inspired in that moment.
05:54 I was like, "Holy crap, she's right."
05:57 This is perfect for me to keep, like, my top nail polish colors, the ones that are my ride
06:04 or die colors, like Julie G. Birthday Suit, Wet n Wild, Teal Slowly and See, RGB Oxblood
06:13 or Monarch, those are some of my top, top, top favorite polishes.
06:17 If there's a way for me to ensure that they're going to be safe or that I know I'm going
06:21 to go to my color clutch and all my favorites are going to be there, I want something like
06:25 that.
06:26 I'll put a color clutch down below so that you guys can check them out.
06:30 This is the new lavender color, but they also have a robin's egg, which is right up my alley.
06:36 It's literally like the color of my necklace.
06:38 And I think they have another color.
06:41 I'm not sure, but I think they have another color.
06:43 This literally takes up this much space on like a shelf.
06:47 I mean, that's like no space at all, and it's going to keep your bottles safe.
06:52 So that's the newest addition to the Coffee Break Headquarters family.
06:55 Let's get into what you guys see behind me every single time I film.
06:59 And these are Muji drawers.
07:01 Muji drawers are my whole life.
07:04 This is the first one that I want to show you, and I'm just going to pull it off the
07:07 shelf so you guys can see it in action.
07:11 It's really heavy.
07:12 It's full of all my Maybelline tattoos and paint pots.
07:18 This is the Muji two drawer large box with the lid.
07:25 You guys see how the lid lifts up?
07:27 They also have it where this lid is permanently fixed up at the top, so it doesn't lift.
07:33 I got them to lift in case I ever have a product that is a little bit domed or doesn't fit
07:38 in here.
07:39 The lid can just stay a little open like that.
07:42 So that's something to think about.
07:43 But this is the large two drawer, and it fits your paint pots, your gel liners really well.
07:50 This is the size of one drawer, so you guys can see.
07:54 Below that, I have this very unique Muji drawer that I can't find on the website for you guys.
08:00 I found it in person in New York City.
08:03 In fact, it wasn't even in New York City.
08:06 It was in the airport.
08:07 This is a really unique Muji case because it has six drawers.
08:13 That could have been bad.
08:16 It has six drawers, but the cool thing about it is the drawers can flip.
08:21 So you guys see those grooves up at the top?
08:24 Like this groove right here?
08:26 You can take out the two drawers, and you can flip them.
08:33 I want to do this without making a mess.
08:35 And you can flip it like this, and then you can put the drawers in sideways.
08:43 Let me take out the divider.
08:45 So you take out the drawers.
08:46 See, I have them horizontally.
08:49 If you take them out, you take out this divider, and you can actually store them like this.
08:56 So if you don't have a lot of room and you want to store it vertically, you can open
08:59 the drawers like this.
09:01 I like to have them laying down because I feel like it's a lot easier to find my products.
09:07 So I have them where you can open them like this.
09:10 And I have all my eyeliners in here.
09:13 So I have my pencil liners, my colorful liners, my jumbo crayon liners, my neutral jumbo crayon
09:20 liners, liquid liners.
09:21 So it's an easy way to divide when you have a lot of one category, like eyeliners or lip
09:31 liners.
09:32 If you're a huge lip liner person, you can have your neutrals, your pinks, your reds,
09:35 your browns, your burgundies, your really, really vampy.
09:39 You know what I mean?
09:40 So it's a really great way to organize when you have a lot of one type of product in different
09:45 colors.
09:46 Now let's move over here.
09:48 The storage case that you see here and here, they're the same one that I showed you down
09:53 here.
09:54 It's the large two-drawer Muji with the mouth.
09:59 And then into this drawer, this is my blush area.
10:05 This is alarmed with heavy security and there's a Doberman.
10:07 Wesley, come here.
10:08 Come here, Wesley.
10:09 Come here.
10:10 Come here.
10:11 Come here, Wesley.
10:12 You can't see him because he's short, but he's very aggressive.
10:18 And this is where I keep some of my blushes.
10:19 And again, right below it is that large two-drawer.
10:23 How many do I have of those?
10:25 One, two, three, four, five, six.
10:29 Let's just say about six.
10:31 Here is some of my blush collection and I keep these in the by Allegory Organizers.
10:38 What are these called?
10:40 I think these are the compact organizers.
10:44 They're either the powder organizers or like the compact organizers.
10:47 And again, these come in clear pink, clear purple, clear black, clear solid black, solid
10:52 white, and so many different colors.
10:53 And I really, really like these because they're really high quality acrylic.
10:58 And when I store them in here, it's super easy to just like kind of slide them out.
11:02 You know what I mean?
11:03 Like it's like butter acrylic.
11:06 Now we move down a little bit and I move the camera down so you guys can see what I have
11:11 down here.
11:12 And again, I have a large two-drawer down there at the bottom, but on top of it and
11:19 over here, I have the Muji five-drawer.
11:23 These are really narrow, thin drawers, so it's a little annoying to store things because
11:28 not very much stuff fits in them.
11:32 So I'm going to take this one out and show you.
11:35 Are you looking at my butt?
11:36 Don't look at my butt.
11:37 So I'm going to take it out to show you guys kind of what it looks like.
11:42 This is the five-drawer and like I said, not a lot of stuff fits in here, so you have to
11:46 be really thoughtful with what you decide to store.
11:50 You guys can see I have my Colourpop Adidas.
11:53 Did you guys see that?
11:55 That scared the living Jesus out of me.
11:58 Okay, so I keep a lot of my single products in here.
12:05 It's the perfect width for things like little pots.
12:08 Paint pots don't fit in here.
12:10 Color tattoos don't fit in here.
12:12 It has to be the perfect width for an item to fit in here.
12:16 So I have my Colourpops.
12:18 I have the colorful ones on top and then the neutrals on bottom.
12:21 The one that fell out are all my Jessie's Girl eye dusts or pigments.
12:27 And then down below, I have some single eyeshadows, but like the really, really, really shimmery
12:32 ones.
12:33 The thickest product that fits in here are these L'Oreal Infallible 24, 14-hour, blah,
12:38 blah, blah.
12:39 You know which ones I'm talking about?
12:40 These are the thickest items that really fit in here.
12:43 So you can't really store...
12:45 I mean, I have a lot of options here for you guys, but you can't store things like MAC
12:50 Studio Fix.
12:51 The powder, it doesn't fit in here.
12:52 So you want to keep that in mind.
12:53 So that one that I have there is the same one that I have over here with just some eyeshadow
12:59 palettes.
13:00 And then over here is a letter holder, and this is from Amazon.
13:08 It's just a clear acrylic letter holder.
13:11 I think it was like $6 maybe.
13:14 And it just holds my MAC eyeshadows standing up really cute.
13:19 So again, it's really for...
13:21 The reason I store my things in clear acrylic is so that I could see what I have.
13:27 If everything was in like Alex drawers like this, I would never see it and I would never
13:33 use it.
13:34 I know myself and I just wouldn't.
13:35 I'm a visual person.
13:36 I have to see what I have to use it.
13:39 And even then, you've seen my decluttering videos.
13:41 There's stuff that I still don't reach for even though I see it every day.
13:45 So it's really important for me to see things visually and kind of display it nicely so
13:50 I remember what I have and it almost motivates me to use it more.
13:54 In that back corner, it's the same thing.
13:57 You'll see that is the five drawer, the five drawer Muji that I just showed you guys.
14:03 Down there, those palettes are stored in the letter holder from Amazon that I just talked
14:08 about.
14:09 Up here, I have two Muji large drawers.
14:14 The one that is...
14:17 I have so many, you guys.
14:18 I have like 10.
14:19 I don't even know.
14:20 And up there, those are two items that you have not seen.
14:24 Here are two items that you haven't seen.
14:28 This is a cotton swab and cotton pad holder from Amazon.
14:33 It comes with these really cute little clear lids.
14:36 So you're supposed to put cotton pads in this one and then swabs in this one or Q-tips and
14:40 then put the lid on.
14:41 But I just have it for my lip liners.
14:43 These are the only lip liners I have.
14:46 Usually when I wear lip liner, I just do all lip liner, nothing else.
14:51 I just want that really, really, really pigmented matte lip.
14:54 That's usually what I do with lip liners.
14:57 So these are really creamy, some of my favorites, but I don't see myself purchasing lip liners
15:02 very often because I have the ones I like, I guess you could say.
15:08 I had to think about that for a while.
15:11 And then this is a large Muji drawer.
15:16 It's just one big drawer.
15:18 This is one of my biggest regrets.
15:20 It's not practical, it's cumbersome, all your stuff gets piled on top of each other.
15:27 Like here you see it's on top.
15:28 I don't like that.
15:29 I like it to be one even layer.
15:31 Again, I'm compulsive.
15:33 So it's not one of my favorites.
15:35 I wouldn't recommend this.
15:36 And it doesn't have those little rubber, most Muji drawers have a little rubber strip that
15:41 runs along the side and it doesn't slip.
15:43 This one doesn't have it.
15:46 So I had to buy a gel pad to put underneath and then it doesn't slide when I open the
15:51 drawer.
15:52 This stores some of my bigger, chubbier highlighters, but again, it's not one of my favorites.
15:59 In that little cubby right there where I'm kind of circling, that's where I keep certain
16:04 eye products.
16:06 And this is similar to the eyeliner box over here that has the six drawers, except this
16:12 only has four and the same concept.
16:15 To store it horizontally like I have it where it opens like this, or you could flip it and
16:20 you could store it, I always feel like everything's going to fall out, or you could store it vertically
16:25 if you don't have too much space and open it this way.
16:29 This is the glasses holder from Muji.
16:32 I think that's what it's called, the glasses holder.
16:34 Why am I shaking so much?
16:36 I'm one of those shakers.
16:37 You know the leg shakers?
16:38 Oh, so annoying.
16:40 So I keep my eyebrow products, my eyelash curler, and then my mascaras.
16:47 And I separate my mascaras from regular, lengthening, and then volumizing, or backwards, volumizing
16:53 and then lengthening.
16:54 So depending on what type of lashes I want to give myself, I reach for different mascaras,
16:59 or I make a mascara cocktail like most girls do.
17:03 So again, this is the Muji eyeglass, high glass, sunglass, something like that.
17:09 I'll link it down below.
17:11 So right there, that little guy right there, that's the one I just showed you, the eyeglass
17:15 holder.
17:16 Right below it, that's where I keep all my false lashes, and that is the same drawer
17:21 that was up here, that really chubby, bulky, one drawer from Muji.
17:26 I don't like it.
17:27 But I don't know how else to store my lashes, so for now it works, because I could store
17:31 them standing up, and then I pull them out almost like files, and I decide which pair
17:35 of eyelashes to wear.
17:36 Like today, I'm like, "Okay, Miss Dolly, here you come."
17:39 So it's a nice way to display lashes, but the highlighters, it's definitely not working
17:43 out for me.
17:44 Below the lashes, right here where you see these giant palettes hanging out, those are
17:50 file holders.
17:51 No, magazine holders from Amazon.
17:54 They're called magazine holders from Amazon.
17:56 I don't like that so far.
17:59 It works because it keeps them standing up really great, but I'm not a big fan.
18:03 I'm trying to think of some other way to store those really big palettes, but they're really
18:07 big.
18:08 So realistically, I think that's my only option for now.
18:12 If I come up with another idea, I will share it with you guys.
18:15 Of course I will share it with you guys.
18:17 So those are just Amazon magazine holders.
18:21 Now we're going to move on to this section right here, and kind of show you what I have
18:25 going on.
18:26 Now you guys are going to have to see my double chin in the mirror.
18:28 Hi guys.
18:29 So what we have here are basically lip glosses and lipsticks and things like that.
18:38 It's really not, there's no science behind this organization.
18:41 I just wanted it to look cute and girly and pretty and special.
18:45 You can see my MAC lipsticks right there.
18:47 Those are my MAC lipsticks, and I actually store those in a lip gloss holder, the By
18:53 Allegory lip gloss holder.
18:56 You guys, if you get anything from By Allegory, you need the lip gloss holder.
19:00 This will change your life.
19:01 It's amazing.
19:02 I like to keep my MAC lipsticks in there because you guys know MAC lipstick bullets jiggle,
19:07 and you have to store them right side up.
19:10 So the name is, you have to flip them over to find out what the name is, unless you want
19:16 to store them on an angle.
19:18 I don't like to store things on an angle, so I put them in that lip gloss holder.
19:21 It's just perfect for MAC lipsticks.
19:23 It was designed for MAC lipsticks.
19:26 Then I also have just basic lipstick holders.
19:29 Those two that you see, that's a 9 one that I got at TJ Maxx, and then this one is an
19:36 elevated one that I got from Container Store.
19:40 So it organizes them kind of like on a downhill.
19:43 I don't remember what that's called.
19:45 I'm lacking my English vocabulary right now, but it's on an angle, so the ones in the back
19:50 are higher than the ones in the front.
19:52 Down below, this is the Muji 5 drawer that I showed you with my ColourPop shadows.
19:57 And then these two are from Marshalls.
20:00 I don't like them.
20:02 They're hard.
20:03 They're not smooth acrylic like Muji.
20:05 Muji, you pull out the drawer and it's almost like it has gears.
20:10 It's just buttery and it just slides right open.
20:13 These TJ Maxx ones are like, you have to yank on them.
20:16 It's a little tricky.
20:17 So I'm not a big fan, but they're really pretty and they have that cute little acrylic handle
20:21 that's just very feminine.
20:23 And I keep some of my Chubby lip pencils in there and some lip glosses.
20:28 But that's basically what I use.
20:30 Everything from Muji, from Container Store, from TJ Maxx, and from By Allegory.
20:35 By Allegory is my jam.
20:37 You guys, if you want to get, like if you want to step up your game of organizers, By
20:42 Allegory will change your life for sure.
20:45 They have lipstick holders.
20:48 You guys saw everything that I showed you.
20:49 One important thing that I do want to share with you guys is if you do have, for example,
20:56 the Alex drawer system where you store your stuff in Alex drawers, you don't have them
21:00 displayed like me, most By Allegory organizers, actually all By Allegory organizers fit in
21:10 the Alex drawers.
21:11 So it's not something where you need to measure it out.
21:13 It will for sure fit.
21:14 So you don't have to worry about that.
21:16 Now, if you are on a budget and you're like, "Dani, what are your ideas or recommendations?"
21:21 The stuff that I shared with you guys is not very expensive, but it is not a necessity
21:27 so it can be a little pricey in retrospect.
21:32 But if you decide that you're on a budget and you want really cool organizer ideas or
21:37 alternatives, Ice Cube trays are fantastic for storing your single eyeshadows or your
21:42 eyeshadow pots.
21:44 Also, check the Target dollar bin section.
21:47 I think it's called the Hot Spot or the Dollar Spot.
21:51 I have found really great organizers there.
21:54 I have this in one of my Alex drawers with brushes.
21:58 It's the perfect size for different types of brushes.
22:01 And then I have these trays for work that I have to do, products that I've purchased
22:06 that I need to edit, or when I do a tutorial for you guys, I store all the products that
22:12 I used in here so that I don't forget.
22:14 And then I update my description in the video with all the products in here and then I put
22:18 them back where they belong.
22:19 So there are really affordable options out there.
22:22 You just kind of have to look around.
22:24 Michaels has some, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, they always take the 20% coupon.
22:31 So always look around and keep an eye out.
22:33 When in doubt, I'm going to link all of these things that I mentioned down below.
22:39 There's Ebates, you guys, and it will be a lot cheaper than if you just paid full price.
22:43 That is it for this storage solution video.
22:45 Please let me know in the comment section below which of these organizers is your favorite,
22:50 or if you could have one, which one it would be.
22:53 Because I know for sure my favorite is this sixth drawer from Muji.
22:57 It's so different and unique and has so many options.
23:02 It's versatile.
23:03 It's right up my alley.
23:04 It speaks Danny.
23:05 So I really, really like it.
23:06 So let me know which one that I mentioned is your favorite.
23:07 And also a really quick reminder, if you guys like the color clutch, I'm obsessed with this
23:12 thing.
23:13 I don't think I ever say obsessed because most YouTubers say obsessed.
23:16 I try not to say it, but I'm really obsessed with this.
23:18 It's so unique.
23:19 Like I said, Danny, you're brilliant.
23:21 It's like a Z palette for your polishes.
23:24 So I'm really trying to help out my friend Catherine meet her goal.
23:27 So check her out on Kickstarter.
23:30 Let her know we support her and get your very own color clutch.
23:33 As always, if you guys found this video useful, entertaining, or learned something, please
23:34 give me a thumbs up.
