03:33 I'm going to show you guys how to curl short hair with a flat iron.

03:46 So I'm going to just kind of go over what the products that I'm going to be using are.
03:50 So the first thing I'm going to be using is their heat shield.
03:55 This is so important, like so important.
03:59 If you have fine hair, if you have color treated hair, if you have sensitive hair, and by sensitive
04:05 hair I mean that it like gets damaged really easy.
04:08 Some people just are lucky having like really strong hair.
04:11 So and some of us, like me, are not so lucky.
04:14 I do get breakage quite easily.
04:16 One because I am platinum blonde and to be platinum blonde you have to bleach your hair
04:23 quite often.
04:24 Yay!

04:49 So the first thing that I thought when they sent me this package, I opened the box and

05:00 And even my husband was like, did you just get like food sent to you?

05:05 He's like, yeah, it smells like candy.
05:07 So even my husband likes the smell.
05:09 So heat shield, number one, super important.
05:12 It's going to protect your hair.
05:13 It's going to basically, exactly what it sounds like, create a shield over your hair to protect
05:18 it from any heat.
05:19 This goes for blow drying.
05:20 So after I get out of the shower, after I do all my first, yay, the first winner, congratulations
05:27 on winning your flat iron.

05:32 So before I blow dry my hair, I always spray my wet hair down with the heat shield before
05:36 I flat iron.
05:37 Every single time I make sure that I spray with my heat shield.
05:41 So super, super important.
05:43 And then I'm going to kind of go backwards right now.
05:46 My most asked question probably is how do you get that color?
05:50 My hair is almost like lavender.
05:52 It's almost purple.
05:54 And I'm going to show you guys how I got this color.
05:56 I love when my hair is this like icy blonde, almost like lavender purple color.

06:04 I'm like, no.
06:06 I washed it last night.

06:17 This shampoo and conditioner, I am stoked on.
06:21 It pulls out the brassiness and it gives you this gorgeous, look at this gorgeous platinum
06:28 lavender, gorgeous perfection of platinum blonde hair.
06:33 So if you are platinum blonde or if you are blonde, I know I'm waiting for it to heat

06:42 So this is the cooling tone shampoo and cooling tone.
06:45 It's like dripping.
06:46 So it came out of my shower.
06:48 Cooling tone conditioner.
06:49 So when I'm in the shower, these are the guys I use.
06:52 And then after I get out of the shower, I go through a few different products.
06:56 I do the, so the first thing I do is the hair lotion and it's exactly what it sounds like.
07:03 It's like legit hair lotion.
07:05 Like when I squeeze it out and rubbed it in my hands, I was like, wow, it is lotion.
07:09 So it's hair lotion, makes your hair like super soft and silky and really shiny without
07:14 making it feel heavy.
07:15 I really liked this.
07:17 And then the next thing I did was the nourishing gloss.
07:20 Again, it's exactly what it sounds like.
07:23 It's a nourishing gloss.
07:24 So it just super soft, helps with the split ends.
07:29 This was a huge, incredible, it's amazing.
07:32 This one is definitely one to grab if you have damaged hair.
07:35 So I did this when my hair was towel dried right out of the shower.
07:39 The last thing I do before I did the heat shield and blue dry my hair last night was
07:44 I went in with the root booster.
07:46 I like to spray it on my hand and then massage into your scalp and just kind of work it in.
07:50 I have super, super fine hair.
07:53 So if I don't use a root booster, my hair like lays flat on my head.
07:57 Like I'm talking like greasy flat.
07:59 So I loved this root booster.
08:01 Really lifted it off my head and it still feels like super light and airy this morning.
08:06 I don't use dry shampoo that often, but I did use this the other day.
08:11 Just spray at the root, kind of work in.
08:12 If you were like me and don't wash your hair all the time, this was a huge help.
08:16 So dry shampoo is another product that I got from them that I really liked.
08:20 Yes, so the purple shampoo is going to pull out that yellow.
08:24 So if you're platinum blonde or blonde and you find that like, I don't know, a week later
08:29 after you wash your hair for the first time, your hair turns like yellow.
08:34 Secretly, it's my biggest pet peeve.
08:36 So I'm like, cool, I just spent all this time learning and get my hair perfect.
08:41 And now it's yellow.
08:42 This is going to prevent that.
08:44 So it's also going to keep you out of the salon longer.

08:47 So shampoo and conditioner was a huge fan of.
08:50 Okay, so I've already sprayed my hair with the heat shield and I can feel this flat iron.

08:55 So a little bit about this flat iron, I'm going to just kind of go through the little

09:00 It spins like this, which is awesome for, especially if you're curling your hair like

09:04 This is my favorite way.
09:06 No, it does not make your hair stiff.
09:09 I love that about these products.
09:11 I washed my hair last night and used the Root Booster and sometimes with some products,
09:16 you'll wake up and be like, cool, I got to wash my hair again.
09:18 Feels dirty.
09:19 No, mine just felt like really airy.
09:20 I've done nothing to my hair this morning.
09:22 This is how I went out.
09:23 I mean, I just did my makeup a little bit ago, which I also do live on my page all the
09:29 time.

10:05 So it helps to curl your hair, helps to keep your hair curled.
10:09 And what the first thing I noticed after I used this was that my curls, one, they held
10:15 for like three days and two, no frizz.
10:20 No fricking frizz.
10:22 I was so jazzed on that.
10:23 I was like, oh my God.
10:25 Hello, best friend.
10:26 I was, oh, I'm in love.
10:28 Like I will never use another flat iron again.
10:30 I am a chi girl.
10:32 Normally I would use my chi religiously.
10:35 I've always used it.
10:37 I'm a fan of it.
10:38 I love it.
10:39 And this flat iron, like I'm get, I text my sister.
10:42 I'm like, well, you're getting my chi flat iron.
10:44 Cause I'm keeping this.
10:46 And what I love about it too, if you have short hair like I do, look how small this
10:49 thing is.
10:50 You know, I got petite hands and my hand fits perfectly around this.
10:54 It also has a temperature control right here.
10:56 So the max temp is 450 and we have it kind of in between 400 and 450.
11:02 I've played around with it a little bit and that's just kind of like the perfect heat
11:06 temperature for me.
11:08 It also has these lifted plates, which prevents your hair from like getting caught and tangled
11:14 in there, which I loved.
11:15 So a little bit about what I'm doing is I'm just kind of digging my hair in, my fingers
11:20 in to my hair and then just kind of bending it at the root, causing it to kind of create
11:25 this like fake volume that we really don't have.
11:30 So and then I'm going to, it's not an auto shut off this one particular, but there's
11:34 another flat iron on there that is a little bit bigger.
11:37 So all my longer hair ladies, that is probably the one you're going to want.
11:41 That one has an auto shut off after I believe 60 minutes.
11:45 Yeah, 60 minutes I think it said.

11:51 And the other one is also blush pink.

13:31 I mean a little up here, but no, I can hold it all the way up until where the plates are.
13:36 But not super hot.
13:38 And what I love about this, my husband's probably going to get so mad at me that I'm about to
13:42 tell you guys this, but my husband straightens his hair too.
13:45 He has really short hair, like really short hair.
13:47 And he was like, I love the temperature control.
13:49 I can turn it all the way down to 100 so I can use it and I don't burn my head.
13:53 I'm like, I know, it's great.
13:55 Everyone uses it.
13:56 This also comes in two colors.
13:57 So this and a black.
13:59 So if your husband or boyfriend also flat irons their hair, it's a good little gift.

14:10 So the thing that I do when I curl my hair, number one rule with curling pixie, don't
14:15 overthink it.
14:17 Don't overthink it.
14:19 So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to focus on the way my wrist moves and that's
14:24 about it.
14:25 I'm going to go back and forth with the directions of my curls and I have like no rhyme or reason
14:32 of where I'm grabbing this hair.
14:34 But that's what's going to give you like that super cute kind of messy, messy curled look.

16:30 I left my shampoo on for, so what I do in the shower, what I do in the shower, I shampoo
16:40 my hair first and I leave that shampoo on for probably like a minute and then I rinse
16:47 it out and then I shampoo again.
16:50 And why I shampoo again, what shampoo does is it, it cleans your hair.
16:55 Wow, I cracked the code.
16:58 It's going to take out all that dirt and all that filth and all the yuckiness from the
17:01 air.
17:02 But why it's important to shampoo twice, in my opinion, that first layer, it's going to
17:08 get out that second layer.
17:10 It's going to kind of nourish your hair.
17:13 So I shampoo twice and then I condition and I leave that conditioner in for like five
17:20 minutes.
17:22 And then the second dose of shampoo before I condition, I leave in for like three, four,
17:29 five minutes.
17:30 I don't know, it kind of ranges, but the longer you leave that second layer of shampoo in
17:34 your hair, the more like lavender your hair is going to be if you're platinum, like I
17:41 am.

17:44 I like pay money to get, oh, see, I didn't even burn myself.

21:09 So like for me, for example, before I had my chi, I had this flat iron from like high
21:14 school and I would go into my appointments and my hairdresser would be like, dude, your
21:18 hair is so like drying.
21:20 What are you doing at home?
21:21 And I'm like, I'm doing exactly what you're telling me to do.
21:24 And she's like, how old's your flat iron?
21:25 And I was like, I don't know, like six years old.
21:28 She's like, throw that flat iron in the trash right now.

21:31 And I'm like, okay.
21:32 So I got that and then I got this and now that chi, if I didn't have a little sister,
21:38 it would be in the trash, but now it's at her house.

22:47 But like I said, I don't curl with any rhyme or reason really.
22:50 And that's just because I want it to look kind of like full and messy and just kind

22:57 I'm going to turn it off.
22:59 And now last thing I'm going to use is the salt and sea texturizing spray.
23:04 And if you're like me and you like, like setting your hair and like adding a texturizer, but
23:09 you don't want it to be super heavy, you don't like when your hair is like crispy, you would
23:13 really like this one.
23:14 It smells super, super good, but you just spray like this.
23:20 And I just wait a second, letting it kind of set.
23:23 And then I just kind of go through and kind of lift.
23:27 And this is going to hold, help hold your curls.
23:29 It's going to help tame any like flyaways.
23:35 It's going to just add like a little bit of texture.
23:40 How amazing is that?
23:43 Yes, this is like the way to curl your hair.
23:47 If you have short hair like I do or a pixie.
23:53 Yeah, you need this one.
23:56 It's so much better than a chi.

25:40 And then I rinse.
25:43 After I rinse a second time, then I go in with the cool tone conditioner and I leave
25:47 this on for five minutes.
25:49 And that is how your hair is going to get this like really pretty like purpley lavender,
25:54 like platinum color.
25:56 If you're platinum like I am.
25:57 If you're just regular blonde, it's just going to pull out the natural, not natural.
26:00 It's going to pull out that brassiness, that yellowness.
26:05 I'm not sure if the straighteners are different sizes, but this is a one inch.
26:10 My hair is like thin, but yeah, it's kind of fine.
26:15 I was going to say, but I get like really easy volume, but it's because my hair is so
