00:00 Hi everybody, my name is Alyssa and I am a L'ange customer and I'm just a fan of
00:07 L'ange products and so today I'm going to be showing you guys how to go from
00:13 really crazy curly to a really straight and sleek look using the L'ange
00:19 L'oreal straightener. And so this is my first live video I've ever done so bear
00:27 with me. Oh hey, there's already people saying hello. Hey Tess, hey Kendall, hey
00:33 Heather. Thanks for joining me but like I was saying this is my first live video
00:39 so I'm a little bit nervous but hopefully I'll be able to answer as many
00:44 questions as I can and interact with you guys while I'm doing my hair. So I do
00:50 have my sister Anna here with me as well and so she's gonna be kind of helping me
00:55 answer some questions that maybe I miss and just kind of here for moral support
01:00 too. So if you guys hear a voice, another voice in the background that's what that

02:20 Okay so like I said I'm going to be using the L'Oreve straightener today. So
02:25 this straightener is amazing. It's like the best straightener that I've ever
02:30 used. So it's this is the titanium blush is the one that I'm going to be using.
02:37 They also have a ceramic as well but as you can see it's got, you can kind of see the
02:46 light in it, it has the infrared strip in it and so what that does is it adds
02:53 moisture to your hair and shine and it seals the cuticles. So it's really super
02:59 awesome. This is like I said the best straightener that I've ever used. I as
03:04 you can see have naturally really curly and frizzy hair and so this is like my
03:11 best friend. I've used a lot of straighteners before and this is
03:14 definitely the best one that I've used. It just makes my hair so smooth as you
03:19 guys are gonna see in a second and so straight really quickly and seriously
03:23 like cuts down my styling time in half. So it's super super awesome. Okay so let

04:02 and get started. How many days will it last? So with the
04:07 L'Oreal straightener it will last pretty much until I wash my hair again and
04:12 normally like on a normal week I usually wash my hair once a week. Sometimes
04:18 twice just depending on what I have going on but yeah it's gonna stay
04:23 straight until I wash it again. I just throw a little dry shampoo in there and
04:28 I'm good to go. Okay so what I normally do is just section my hair off like this
04:37 and I just do one side at a time and so it'll look a little funny I'm just gonna
04:42 have it flipped over my head until I get this side done but it'll be that's how
04:47 I've just always done it. Just ordered some products today. Yes, so excited.

05:09 and get started but before I do I want to forget to use the heat shield. So this
05:13 stuff is awesome you definitely want to be sure that you're using the heat
05:17 shield just to protect your hair and anytime you use any kind of heat on it
05:24 so whether it's the straightener or the wand or the blow-dryer anything you want
05:30 to be sure that you're protecting your hair. It smells awesome which all of
05:35 L'Ange products smell awesome. Let that dry for a second.
05:44 April says I just used my wand the first time today and I'm in love. Yes I it's so
05:56 easy to fall in love with these products. I have the wand, the 25 millimeter
06:02 titanium one as well and I think that's actually the first L'Ange product that I
06:07 ever got and it's super amazing. I think I just saw my sister jump on here. Hey
06:15 Sarah. Okay I think the heat shield is probably dry so what I'm gonna do is I'm
06:22 gonna use a brush to kind of like brush the tangles out in front of the
06:28 straightener and that's just gonna kind of help with my curly hair to get all the
06:36 frizz out or just get the knots out of it really before I go over it with the
06:41 straightener. So as you guys can see just from doing one pass with the straightener
06:47 it's already like smoothed my hair out so much. It's awesome.
06:54 Some of the front pieces I might go over two times but really you don't have to.
07:01 It just works so well.
07:04 Somebody asked if the detangler is supposed to work for all hair types. Yes I think it should. I don't have the
07:20 detangler but L'Ange is on here and they can probably answer that question. I
07:26 think it would work for any hair type. So I've got quite a few product, L'Ange
07:34 products, but I don't have all of them so you guys let me know what your
07:39 favorites are. I want to eventually try all of them.
07:47 Kelly asked is that your natural curl? It is, yes, this is my natural curl. I've had
07:54 curly hair my whole life so yes. I used to fight it more than I do now. I've
08:02 kind of embraced my curly hair now but I still love to style it in different ways.
08:14 Alicia says I love the detangler. Okay I'm definitely gonna have to try that
08:18 then for sure. Everybody's saying the detangler is amazing. Okay I'm gonna have to put that on my
08:27 list of stuff to try.
08:31 Natalie says it goes so smooth. Oh you're talking about the straightener? Because
08:36 it really does. It's like it glides over my hair so super easy. It's amazing.

09:03 So yeah I just saw L'Ange saying that the highest he is 450 and that's
09:12 actually what I have mine set on right now is 450. It goes from 170 to 450 and
09:19 just since my hair is so curly and crazy that's what that's what I put it on.
09:30 I've got my phone taped to my mirror in my bathroom so if I'm kind of like
09:35 looking up above I'm just looking in my mirror it's kind of I've never done my
09:40 hair looking into a phone before so it's a little bit different.
09:44 Stacy says my hair is so thick and frizzy and wavy love seeing your hair
09:49 transformation like this. Yes I love the transformation too and one thing I love
09:55 about doing one side of my head at a time is in just a second when I flip
09:59 this side over you'll get to see like the before and after and the difference
10:02 is really crazy.
10:06 Can you, Brandy says can you use the heat shield on dry and wet hair? Yes you can
10:15 so if you are going to be like blow-drying your hair like right after
10:19 you get out of the shower then yes you can use it on wet hair for that and then
10:23 also on dry hair as well.
10:27 Kim says I love the dry shampoo. Yes the dry shampoo is one of my favorite
10:35 products actually and I can show you guys maybe here in a second um just like
10:42 how awesome it is. I just washed my hair this morning actually so I don't really
10:46 like need any of this um further like to make it look like fresh really but this
10:52 is really awesome to kind of add like some volume and texture to your hair as
10:56 well and like I said since I only wash my hair like once a week this is like
11:01 definitely my go-to. So I'll just go ahead and show you guys just because I
11:07 have such dark hair I want to show you because it comes out clear it's not like
11:12 a lot of other dry shampoos that like kind of leave like a white film on your
11:17 hair but it just it goes on clear so you can see no white residue it's awesome
11:27 you can just kind of like rub it in. Like I said I don't really like need it too much
11:32 right now besides if I just wanted to add a little bit of texture or body to
11:36 my hair but I kind of have a lot of body anyway but yes this is one of my
11:42 favorites the dry shampoo. Somebody asked if the straightener makes your hair smell. No it
11:52 doesn't um and especially if like you're using like the heat shield and like the
11:58 different products with it like your hair is just gonna smell amazing like
12:02 all the products do so yeah it doesn't leave a weird smell on your hair. I've
12:07 had straighteners that do that before where like for just the next however
12:11 long until you wash it it just kind of smells like yucky but this one doesn't.
12:19 Let's see what Juliana says what products are good for flyaways? Um for
12:29 flyaways I would say the Menage Maru oil would probably be a good one for that it
12:36 makes your hair like super smooth or their hairspray to just kind of tame
12:42 those flyaways. I'll probably use that at the end I've got the three-way
12:46 hairspray just to kind of like spray over my baby hairs so that'll definitely
12:50 help too but Robin if there's anything else that you would suggest? I've got my
12:58 people from L'Ange helping me out with questions on here. I don't know the
13:03 answer. Deanna says I would love to win I almost bought one when I ordered my

16:07 does super silky. I don't even have like any products on it yet um the only well
16:13 the only products I've used so far is the heat shield just to protect it but I
16:18 haven't used anything like afterwards to like smooth it out and so this is just
16:22 like the straight what the straightener does on its own.

17:07 do I like I said earlier I've kind of learned to love my curls now but yeah I
17:13 love to style my hair and just do different things with it and I love the
17:16 transformation that this gives. Kylie asked do they have shampoo and conditioner?
17:23 Yes they do actually I have most of my launch products that I use right here so
17:27 I used the cascade blowout shampoo and then this sleek blowout conditioner this
17:35 morning when I showered so I love their shampoo and conditioner as well. Okay so
17:43 I'm gonna go ahead and get started on this side. I think I actually might have missed a
17:49 few little baby hairs around my ears. You guys could probably like see all my
17:54 short little baby hairs. I after I had my daughter I lost like a ton of hair which
18:01 I'm sure some of you moms can relate to and so she's 15 months old now and it's
18:06 like just now growing back to where it doesn't look super super awkward. I can
18:12 kind of like put them in with the rest of my hair but they just always kind of
18:18 stick out a little bit so I'm trying to help them grow out.
18:30 I would never, Liz says I would never guess your hair was curly seeing it that
18:33 straight. Yes I know like I've had so many people tell me that before like
18:39 getting my hair done or just out random places have people say like that they
18:45 would never guess that my hair was curly after like looking at it because it just
18:50 like straightens it so well. Okay I'm gonna go ahead and put the heat shield
18:57 on this side before I forget.
19:00 I also curl my hair with the L'Oreal straightener as well so it's awesome for
19:11 that too. I kind of just go back and forth from straight to wavy styles but
19:18 maybe at the end after I kind of straighten my hair all the way and show
19:22 you guys I could kind of like show you one piece how I curl it with the
19:26 straightener for anybody who's interested because it's really awesome
19:28 at that too. Ariel says which straightener are you using? I'm using the
19:34 L'Oreal straightener by L'Ange so the straightener is awesome. They have two
19:40 straighteners they have this one and then they have the apliteer straightener
19:44 and the L'Oreal comes in titanium and in ceramic you can choose I think the
19:51 apliteer only comes in ceramic so those are kind of the differences and then
19:56 also the apliteer doesn't have the infrared strip in it and so this is kind
20:02 of like the high-tech one I guess but I think they both work well I've never
20:06 tried the apliteer but I've heard really good things about that one as well.
20:10 Emma asked if this is the newest straightener yes I believe so I think
20:14 this is the newest one that L'Ange has come out with.
20:22 Juliana asked is the hairspray crispy? It's not and I actually just got this
20:29 not too long ago so I've only used it a couple times but it like is super soft
20:34 and there's um it's a three-way hairspray so there's like a little if
20:38 you can see it you can set it to like light medium or heavy hold on here and I
20:45 think I've just used it like on light and medium but no it doesn't make your
20:49 hair like crunchy at all it still leaves it super soft but like
20:53 holds the style so it's really awesome.
20:58 Kate asked how long does your hair stay straight? It stays straight until I wash
21:05 it again so I mean if I usually I'll go like a week without washing my hair and
21:14 I mean at the end of that week it's obviously like probably like up in a
21:19 ponytail maybe with a hat definitely lots of dry shampoo but yeah it's gonna
21:24 stay straight until until I wash it again so. Oh my gosh we won a third

22:15 has an auto shut off which is awesome because you never leave the house and
22:22 forget to turn off your straightener or something that could be really bad. Kylie

23:05 I'm back to the question if you can adjust the temperature yes um so there's
23:10 a little buttons there's the on/off and then you can go up or down and it goes
23:14 anywhere from 170 to 450 so I have it set at 450 right now just because my
23:24 hair is obviously needs a little bit more heat sometimes if I'm like if I
23:32 curl my hair or like do like a wavy style with the L'Oreal I'll I won't have
23:39 to set it as high but if I'm trying to go like a really smooth sleek look and I
23:44 usually do
23:46 Tasha says she needs the nourishing gloss - yes I have the nourishing gloss
24:01 and I actually put that on my hair when I got out of the shower so I just put it
24:06 on the very ends just to smooth it out but you can use it on dry hair as well
24:12 you can use it on wet or dry I just usually do it when I get out of the
24:18 shower but it adds like a lot of shine
24:23 my hair looks crazy right now but once we're done you guys will see it'll look
24:31 awesome Jessica says love that the buttons on
24:35 this inside so you don't hit them by accident when doing your hair yes that's
24:39 a good point I didn't ever like think of that but there's I've definitely used
24:43 like straighteners in the past where the buttons yeah or like you keep
24:47 accidentally shutting it off and it gets really annoying
24:51 Angela says my hair is somewhat straight already and my current straightener
24:57 doesn't get it this smooth yeah I would suggest getting the red for sure it's
25:03 definitely worth it because I mean if your hair is like any less curly than
25:07 mine then it's gonna do just as amazing of a job and probably a little bit like
25:14 quicker to be like straightens mine this quick and they can straighten anybody's
25:21 Alyssa says while your hair is really curly the straightener seems to a great
25:25 job with your hair yes it's super curly there's kind of like some pieces like
25:30 that are down by my neck that'll be like randomly kind of like straight or a
25:34 little bit but that's pretty much it everything else it's like super super
25:38 crazy curly Sarah asked what Sarah asks what's the brush so this is just like a
25:45 random I don't even know where I got it from honestly I've had this brush for a
25:50 really long time but it's like more of like a thick or like coarse brush I don't
25:57 know if you can kind of see it's probably kind of dirty but yeah it's
26:00 like it just kind of helps like smooth out my hair and like get all the tangles
26:05 out of it before I put the straightener over it so it's a good kind of handy
26:12 thing to have if you're a curly girl like me

26:37 what does the straightener heat up to it heats up to 450 and which is what I have
26:42 it on right now you can go anywhere from 170 to 450 okay so everybody you remember

27:06 it does so that the shampoo and conditioner that I used it is so it's
27:17 smoothing and volumizing so yes it definitely does help with the frizz a
27:22 lot it has avocado oil in it and yeah it leaves your hair frizz free so yeah
27:31 definitely helps with that for sure
27:36 see Deanna says we have four oh I missed that sorry I'm like trying to
27:45 see how you got it use the straightness in our house this looks like it would
27:51 cut our time in half yes it's seriously it does for me if not more like it's
27:58 it's crazy how fast I can do my hair like obviously right now I'm like
28:02 talking with you guys and taking my time but I mean just like on a normal day I
28:08 can do my hair in probably 15 minutes which is like crazy for me because used
28:16 to I would spend like anywhere from like 45 minutes to an hour doing my hair
28:21 which it has been longer in the past it's a little bit shorter now but yeah I
28:27 mean that's ain't nobody got time for that especially now that I have a little
28:34 girl and she's always wanting my attention I just don't have I just don't
28:40 have that kind of time

28:46 how long does it normally take you to straighten your hair yeah so usually
28:56 about 15 minutes I can do my hair in about 15 minutes using the L'Oreal
29:02 straightener so that's about like the quickest I've ever been able to do my
29:05 hair Stacy says looks like it would be so fast to do my hair and my girl's hair
29:15 yep you'd be able to do your hair and your girl's hair super quick you guys
29:23 see all my baby hairs again
29:29 Nicole asked do you blow-dry your hair first I don't just because I don't
29:35 normally I mean there have been some times where I do but on a normal day I
29:40 just let my hair air dry just because it's curly and frizzy and it just kind
29:48 of if I'm gonna go for a straight style and I'm like in a rush and I really like
29:52 need to do it fast then I blow-dry it and obviously if it was like poofy and
29:56 crazy it wouldn't really matter because I'm gonna straighten it right away but
29:58 just on a normal day I'll just let it air dry and then straighten it after
30:03 that I don't have the launch blow-dryer though so I need to get that because I'm
30:11 sure if I had that that it would make my hair a lot smoother

30:45 it's like flown by I don't even really know how long it's been but I can do my

31:06 it does the product seem to build up on the straightener after a few uses um it
31:18 does I don't know how many uses it might take but I have there has been a little
31:24 bit of build up just from the different products on it before but it's super
31:27 easy to clean off you can just like obviously while it's not hot take a rag
31:32 like a wet rag and I just kind of like wipe it off and it comes off really
31:36 easily
31:38 Amy says she needs the straightener in her life yes
31:47 you definitely do I mean like I said I've been using like launch products in
31:55 general for probably six months or a little more but I've had this
31:59 straightener since I think just before Christmas and so yeah I'm never going
32:06 back any other straightener Nicole ask is a straightener heavy no I don't think
32:13 so it actually feels pretty light to me and it's like I don't really know what
32:18 kind of material this is but it's like super smooth but like not too smooth or
32:23 you feel like it's gonna like fall out of your hand it's like really
32:25 comfortable to hold
32:28 Kendall says love how you run through your hair only to that short in time
32:39 yes so yeah it goes really really quick and we have to like do a couple of like
32:47 passes through I hope I am I think that's what you were talking about sorry
32:52 your question kind of went by really fast but yes it does like straighten it

34:01 piece again this is some of my little baby hairs up here but he asked if the
34:07 products make your hair oily no there's I mean there's like the nourishing gloss
34:17 that like adds shine to your hair but it doesn't make it like oily or greasy at
34:23 all somebody else does it burn the end of your hair the tips um it just
34:35 straightens it really well like I don't feel like it like damages my hair
34:38 especially if you're using the heat shields to protect your hair I mean I
34:43 feel like as much as like I use the straightener and I don't feel like my
34:49 ends are like super dry or damaged at all so yes definitely use the heat shield
34:53 but the the straightener just adds shine and especially with that infrared strip
34:58 in there it's gonna like seal the hair cuticles and really just like a lot of
35:04 shine okay so I'm gonna kind of just look over my hair again look up in the
35:10 mirror so I can really see what's going on here get those little baby hairs I
35:16 love to that like you can get super close to your roots with the straightener
35:22 and like not feel like you're gonna burn yourself or burn your scalp winner

35:45 like can't believe it myself after I do it it really is does such a good job

35:57 lot of people say that but I feel like it's just kind of my go-to way to curl
36:03 my hair actually just because I don't know since I have curly hair it kind of
36:09 like skips a step like I don't have to straighten it and then like curl it I
36:12 can just kind of like smooth it out and do all once I'll show you guys I'm here
36:18 in just a second like I can just do like a random piece to show you guys how I do
36:22 it because I love to go back and forth
36:27 do this back section real quick and then I'll show you guys actually says she

36:48 so as you guys can see super sleek and straight back quite the
37:11 transformation from what I started with so I I'm a fan I'm definitely a fan for
37:18 life okay so now that I've gotten my hair pretty much all straight I see one
37:26 piece I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my hair so I like to get
37:31 every little piece super straight but I'm going to put in the marula oil and
37:37 this is just gonna add like even more shine to my hair and just make it look
37:45 like even sleeker oh my goodness this smells amazing I don't even know how to
37:53 describe the way it smells it's just like so fresh smelling I'm actually asked
38:00 anything that helps with humidity I would say the marula oil would
38:05 definitely help with that but oh my goodness winner number six just seem to

39:41 straightener so I'll just like take a section about this big and I always like
39:47 curl away from my face so I'll just take the straightener like start up here and

40:29 my favorite product to use on a daily basis would probably have to be the dry
40:39 shampoo that's like my go-to it's like the best dry shampoo that I've ever used
40:45 and like it doesn't leave any white residue on my hair and like I can go
40:51 like a week without washing my hair and just use this I'll probably start using
40:55 the dry shampoo on day three or four and yeah it just like makes my style last

41:17 I mean obviously right now I'm just kind of showing you guys how it works but
41:20 normally I wouldn't straighten my whole head of hair and then go back and

41:28 was in the beginning to it looking like this piece right here like I just start
41:32 at the top kind of smooth it out and then yeah like about right here start to
41:37 curl it and yeah it gives the same exact same exact look so I'm gonna go ahead
