00:00 My card here. I'm going to share with you a
00:03 Very cool haircut a I call it kind of like my bread and butter haircut
00:11 Let's have a look at it quickly what we're going to be doing here now here on my model. We haven't cut her hair for
00:20 About a past seven months, so this haircut was seven months ago, so it's definitely
00:26 Time for to clip the end as a matter of fact. I think it's actually a little bit overdue
00:31 you know if somebody does enjoy the long hair and
00:34 You know maybe doesn't want to cut it, or you know trying to get it as long as possible
00:38 We fast as long as as quickly as possibly long
00:43 You know I do recommend clipping the ends because simply the hair can fall nicer. It looks fuller
00:50 But definitely you know putting it a stretch for seven months. I think that's definitely a little bit
00:56 Too much, but anyway, I'm gonna share it haircut with you. It's going to be fairly fast and quick and
01:02 What we're going to be doing here now quickly. It's just very simple
01:06 We're gonna clip the ends and also then adding just a little bit of like fewer longer layers in the front
01:13 99% of all my clients with long hair I
01:19 110% cut dry
01:23 What I do is I either there's various ways you can do this
01:27 You can either for cut the hair first then wash and shampoo
01:34 Or you can first wash
01:36 Blow dry and cut this hair very simple was blow-dried this morning
01:44 So I kind of like like it a little bit lift in
01:48 Because that's also the majority how she wears her hair, and that's how I'm approaching. Okay, so let's boogie
01:55 You can stand up
01:57 I always have my clients stand up with
02:06 Definitely can hold here with long hair I
02:09 Always use a white cape so I have a nice contrast
02:13 Comb all the hair straight down just in its natural
02:17 fall and
02:19 My models hair is a little bit on the finer side, but quite a lot of it
02:26 So it's finer hair so on the percent that is
02:30 also much nicer when
02:33 You know when you actually cut it dry as well for the actual person, so we're bringing all the hair back here
02:42 Okay, so as you can see here. It's definitely necessary to
02:46 Cut the hair here definitely to clip it here nicely through
02:51 Okay, nice and solid I
02:54 am using
02:57 my
03:00 Karkshire K
03:02 Question mark
03:06 Because I'm actually using what's being launched one of the five
03:10 Being launched for next year, so here you're getting a little bit of a taste
03:15 It's almost a little bit too premature to tell you too much already about this particular share
03:23 But all I can tell you that it's one of a kind
03:26 Especially what we did with the blade edge
03:30 You can have a seat
03:40 Regardless I always use longer shears, so I would recommend you a
03:44 Six and a half inch shear. That's a great size
03:48 Okay
03:51 So excellent let me go to scrap my clips quickly
03:56 So there you go
04:02 the clips
04:04 So what I'm going to be doing here very simply
04:06 I'm gonna cut it slightly off center the hair is just parted slightly off center
04:10 So what I'm doing here is just I'm sectioning off the head here right below the crown to the back of the ear
04:18 For everybody that has seen me before this is my standard sectioning works super super well
04:25 The reason why we clip below the crown
04:30 Excuse me
04:32 Very simple because if we take care here from the crown if we cut it either at a 90 or at a 45
04:39 That's already the layers back here
04:42 So right-handed I stand on the person's right side. I start off here with a nice
04:49 Triangle this triangle determines how big my bangs are going to be in this case these are long bangs, okay?
04:57 I
04:59 Level my hands to where the part is
05:02 Okay comb the hair straight out
05:04 45 degree finger angle and cut straight through
05:11 Again we're creating long layers, so we're clipping the ends here so it can fall
05:18 Nicely your second section is on top of the head
05:24 Very simply here
05:27 Okay, and combing the hair here at a 45 degree hair angle
05:34 Okay, take the longest point from your bangs as a guide
05:39 45 I keep it here at a 45 so we have more layers around the face less in the back I
05:47 take a parallel section I
05:50 Very simply here now
05:55 Actually, I'm gonna go right here to the curvature zone of the head
05:58 Taking a parallel section
06:01 Bring it in all the way up just follow the guide if you want to leave a little bit more length
06:06 you can just over direct it and
06:08 now going to
06:11 The hair on the side to make sure that it's not going to be too
06:16 Funny that's when you do the Facebook live on it on your cell phone device, so that was a phone call
06:23 Sorry, so if it rang I apologize here
06:26 We're combing the hair straight and now to simply keep your fingers parallel to the part
06:32 Okay
06:34 like so and then just
06:36 Clip here accordingly, but this way when you do this when you pull it straight towards you you actually
06:43 ensure that the outline doesn't become too
06:48 Too weak like you know not solid enough, okay same thing on the other side
06:53 We're now combing the hair as well curvature zone here right into the center
07:02 like so
07:05 Just and follow the guide here as well
07:09 45
07:12 Well
07:14 excellent
07:16 like so
07:18 and last section again already comb the hair straight towards me and
07:23 Keeping my fingers parallel to the part and click the ends do this all the way
07:30 To work all the way down the sides on the left and on the right the same before I'm going to continue
07:38 I'm just going to double check quickly the left and the right take two pieces in my hand and pull
07:45 Perfect take the clips out
07:47 perfect
07:49 So here
07:51 Tie my scarf
07:53 Excellent
07:55 Right here above the occipital bone to the back of the ear take a horizontal
07:59 section comb the hair straight up
08:03 Very simple here and take the longest point as your guide
08:09 like so
08:11 Same thing on the other side
08:15 Just for your information I always do the same thing on the left and on the right side
08:21 There is one reason for that
08:24 So that left and the right side turn out the same
08:27 Okay, I
08:30 Am also a big believer that anybody can cut one side shorter than the other
08:34 But cutting both sides the same length there is a trick to it
08:38 So and now what we have left is actually you can stand up again
08:44 This looks already really really good
08:46 Turn a little bit sideways right like so taking a vertical here on top of the head to the nape of the neck
08:55 Comb that hair away here just beautifully just the way it wants to fall down and then here
09:01 You can easily I'm actually going to switch gears. Let me put that away
09:07 So right here I'm actually using my K curve Royale
09:14 like
09:16 So just connect that's my curved here
09:19 By the way, the curved here is a really really it's an absolute beauty and if you're in the market for to buy a new shear
09:26 Get a curved one
09:28 It's a precision shear and it's the only shear that has opposing grip you call this opposing grip if the shear eyes are on the same
09:35 height and
09:36 This has nothing to do with ergonomic. This is simply to do with actually turn it in your hand and
09:42 You can cut to the left you can cut to the right so perfect for many many great things like
09:48 Cutting a connection for instance then also for anybody that is an absolute fan for a line bobs
09:56 You can cut one side
09:58 With the curved chair by holding the shear on
10:02 Top and then just flip the shears and then hold it from the bottom and cut on the other side
10:08 Because of its curve and opposing grip you can flip the shears
10:12 So you guarantee that the left and the right side is the same length the same thing goes for the bangs
10:16 And there's many other great
10:18 Great great techniques to do that matter of fact once you own a pair of curved shears
10:24 You start doing all sorts of different tricks
10:27 And so I'm a big believer to change up the game a bit your hair dressing game
10:31 It's just you know buy a different tool
10:35 Than what you're used to okay, so work here till the center back very simply
10:42 It is kind of important here make sure you comb the hair
10:45 Straight away from the face and from the head now. It's just flip the shears, and I just follow the guide
10:53 It's really really minimal and by holding the hair here at the 45 I
10:58 Will ensure not getting too many layers throughout the throughout the back and also
11:05 With this particular technique I still enjoy
11:08 To have a solid outline because I definitely want to make sure that this is the case because what happens a lot of time is
11:16 What I see on the street and hairdressers and hair stylists
11:20 Excuse me do
11:22 Is they comb the hair out at a 90 and then simply connect the top layer with the bottom?
11:30 So what you create here is like a ring around it
11:33 So that means actually if you have a certain hair texture that you have all the length
11:37 Within and then a really weak outline and who wants to have a weak outline you want to move it the other way around you
11:43 Want to have a solid outline and a lot of movement within okay?
11:47 So here we're going to do the same thing on the other side
11:50 You see here already how beautiful that looks here how we opened up that face just with the triangle section really super simple
11:57 Again take a vertical from top of the head to the nape of the neck
12:02 and
12:04 Always ensure you have enough hair
12:06 In the nape here and like so as well
12:10 Just combing the hair here straight down and then as you can see here. It's very minimal here to connect
12:18 okay, beauty about it again to cut dry hair is
12:21 you wear your hair dry and
12:24 therefore
12:26 I very seldom it can actually hair too short especially long hair clients because I have no
12:33 shrinkage whatsoever again I move the hair I
12:37 Roll the hair over my fingers here, and then just follow
12:42 the guide here, okay, it's very minimal because again. We're holding it here at a
12:47 45 so
12:50 Move quickly to the front double check excellent now you can have a seat again. We're almost done
12:57 That's the great thing about it
13:01 Okay here since we cut the hair on the left and the right side
13:04 At the 45 that means in the century end up with the longest part so all we do here is take a nice
13:11 big triangle section
13:14 over the back of the head I
13:17 have a little bit more hair throughout the
13:19 Crown area because I have to connect over there more than throughout the nape bring the hair up let the outline drop because we're not going
13:28 to
13:29 Attack that length anymore bring it forward here and just connect the two in here
13:35 It's very minimal very minimal there you go excellent, then give it a shake
13:40 Then here that's the great thing about it of course again because the hair is dry
13:46 We can beautifully here
13:49 See how those layers are as you can see here see that
13:56 Beautiful solid outline here. We have the layers within
13:59 super cool and
14:02 It's not a big of a change
14:04 We just really beautifully trim that up here, and then we have like the hair that just frames beautifully here from the front
14:11 Okay
14:13 Right on super cool happy
14:16 awesome
