A 14-year-old from Bury St Edmunds has become one of the youngest pilots in the UK after going solo for the first time at Rattlesden Gliding Club.
Sienna Hunter, of Bunbury Road, took to the air on May 27, breaking the club’s previous record which was held by a 15-year-old boy.
The King Edward VI student took 17 hours and 23 minutes worth of lessons before taking full control of her solo flight on her 101st launch.
