00:00 Hey guys! So today I have a gorgeous makeup tutorial for you and it's a very flirty, kind
00:04 of innocent, girly makeup because it has a lot of pinks and a lot of mauve shades. But
00:10 I think that it's very wearable and something I would totally be wanting to rock on a date.
00:14 I haven't been on a date in a long time, but we can have an imagination here. I'm really
00:19 happy with it. I decided to tone down the cheeks, the lips, and the eyes relatively.
00:24 So you can tell I decided to make my eyebrows the statement of this look. So my eyebrows
00:29 were a little bit more on the dramatic side. If you're not about that life, you don't have
00:32 to be. It's even too dark for me. I still look in the mirror and I'm like "whoa!" because
00:38 most of the time I wear them a completely different way. But yeah, I hope you guys enjoy
00:42 this. Give this video a giant thumbs up if really we're all just waiting for the chocolate
00:46 to be on sale the next day after Valentine's Day. Because that's really why I'm doing my
00:51 makeup. Because I'm going to take some really good selfies that day at Target. Like "mmm,
00:55 let's score this chocolate!" So first things first, I'm going to go ahead and prime my
00:58 eyes. It's my favorite thing to do and most important. I'm using Lorac Pro's eye primer
01:03 just because I had it on hand and it's one of my favorites lately. Now I'm going in with
01:07 a Naked 3 palette. It's one of those that when you think of Valentine's Day, you think
01:13 of the Naked 3 palette. It's so pinky and I decided to take Limit. Which is a nice,
01:18 I would call it a cool toned pinky brown. And so I went ahead and applied that into
01:24 the crease. It kind of makes it look like your eyes are a little irritated, but I promise
01:28 within a couple of eyeshadows added to it, you'll be okay. Then I'm going to take Nooner,
01:34 which is just a little bit warmer and a little darker. I'm going to apply that into the actual
01:39 crease. You can see I used Limit, more of a transition shade. And this way, it kind
01:45 of creates dimension and we're softly and slowly creating kind of a shadow. Now I'm
01:49 taking this burgundy shade from the chocolate palette from Too Faced, and I'm taking it
01:56 on a shader brush and actually really going in and defining that crease. Because I want
02:01 it to really look kind of dark, but not too dark. I want shadow without looking like it's
02:08 a smoky eye. So I'm applying that and softly blending it side to side. You can see how
02:12 I'm really shifting that brush, kind of windshield wiper motions, but very slowly. Now I'm taking
02:18 Buzz, which is actually also from the Naked 3 palette, and I'm taking this on the inner
02:23 corner and outer corner of the eye, just to add a little bit of sparkle, but still maintain
02:30 a little bit more of a pinky brown kind of overall look. And then we're going to see
02:36 we're going to apply a contrasting color in the center. I'm taking the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil
02:42 in Milk, and this is something that's awesome if you're using a bright color on the center
02:46 of your lid. It really helps that color adhere and look gorgeous. We're using the Rock Unzipped
02:52 Gold palette for this gorgeous color. It's called Unpredictable. It's kind of like a
02:57 gold, but it has these nice specks of different shades. I don't even think the camera does
03:01 it justice. Now this palette is actually for Spring 2015, so it's brand new, and I'm loving
03:08 it so far. And what I'm doing is now going in with a clean brush, I'm going in and kind
03:14 of just fading the gold so that it fades well with the pink, the buzz that we used from
03:20 Naked 3. I'm also taking a tapered blending brush to just make sure I blend the crease
03:26 out well. Now I'm going in with a dark brown. I actually decided to go in with, I believe
03:32 it's an expresso kind of shade. I don't remember exactly which one I used, that's why I didn't
03:36 show you guys which one. And it kind of defined the crease further. Now, I'm taking a Laura
03:41 Mercier hydrating primer. I went ahead and applied that all over my face because my skin
03:45 is dry. Again, this is totally up to you and your preference. Maybe you don't like using
03:49 primer, you just like to use kind of a moisturizer, or maybe you have a favorite product. I don't
03:54 really mind, you can switch it up. Now I'm taking Rimmel's BB Cream, and it's actually
03:59 a matte BB cream. I really like the way it finishes off your face. It's very light, it
04:04 looks like your skin, but better. And it doesn't give too much of a shiny effect, so I think
04:09 it's a perfect thing for if you're going on a date. It's very wearable, not too dark,
04:13 not too harsh. Now I'm taking a beauty blender, and just patting it in a little bit, just
04:19 so that it gives me kind of an airbrushed look. Now I'm taking my NARS creamy concealer
04:23 in vanilla, and applying that underneath my eyes, simply to brighten up, because this
04:28 girl does not get a lot of sleep. I also want a little bit more coverage there, so it will
04:33 really brighten and kind of enhance the under eye area. Now I'm taking a beauty blender,
04:38 because personally, I like beauty blenders for concealing. I find it really hard to get
04:43 a brush in that area of my face, so the sponge really works. And I use it dampened, so definitely
04:49 put it under some running water, squeeze that water out, and then you can use it all over
04:53 your face. And then I'm taking Strange, which is kind of just a highlight shade. I decided
04:58 to put this under my eyebrows to define them a little bit, and I used it with a angled
05:05 shader brush, and just blended it back and forth. It gave a really nice faded look, and
05:09 also faded out the crease a little bit. That's why I went in with a blending brush, just
05:13 to define it a little bit more with no product on it. Now I'm taking a limit, again that
05:18 first color we used from the Naked 3 palette, and I'm applying it underneath my eyes, because
05:22 I wanted a little bit more of a smokey effect at this point. And then I took a shader brush,
05:27 and just simply kind of looked up and looked like a scary person, and just wiped it all
05:31 around. It looks really, really gorgeous in the end. Then I decided to take a brown eyeliner
05:36 instead of a black one, just because I don't want it too harsh. You're going on a date,
05:39 you're not trying to like scare the poor guy. So, I went ahead and used Topaz from Buxom,
05:46 and it worked out really nicely. I put it on the lower lash line, and the waterline,
05:53 and the upper lash line, and then I took a, I would call it like a shader brush, but it
05:58 was more like a, just a little bit of a precision brush, and I blended it side to side. You'll
06:05 see in a second, but I find that when you blend it, it kind of creates more of like
06:09 a faded effect, something that a Victoria's Secret's angel would wear. And I find that
06:14 that is like a really sexy, but innocent kind of way to wear your makeup. And it gives you
06:19 that darkness that you want from your eyeliner, but it doesn't give it too harshly to the
06:23 point where you're like, wow that girl is wearing a lot of makeup. And it's one of my
06:26 favorite ways to wear makeup, and I always feel really good when I wear it. Then I'm
06:31 going to go ahead and curl my lashes using the NYX eyelash curler that I have, and then
06:36 I'm going in with Benefit's Better Than Sex mascara. I recently got a sample of that in
06:43 one of my holiday purchases, and so I really, really am enjoying it. I actually wasn't expecting
06:50 to love it as much as I do. It is a really nice mascara. And so I'm just going to go
06:54 ahead and coat the top lashes, the bottom lashes, really make it look nice. I ended
07:00 up actually deciding to use a couple of lashes at the end, simply because I felt like I wanted
07:10 it to be a little bit more dramatic, but I probably would not recommend wearing false
07:13 lashes on dates. It's just a little too much, a little extravagant. I'm using Ardell's 120
07:18 Demi's. If you're used to wearing falsies, go ahead. It's totally like, you do you. Don't
07:23 let a boy tell you what kind of makeup to wear. But I just really don't like wearing
07:27 false eyelashes on a normal day. It was just like, because I'm filming a tutorial, I'm
07:32 like, "Let's do it!" and look how I feel fancy. Now I'm using the powder I got from MAC, and
07:38 it's actually medium plus. So it's a couple shades darker than what my skin tone is right
07:42 now in the winter time. So I just went ahead and contoured with that, because again, when
07:48 you're going on a date, you don't want it to be too dark, nothing too harsh. So I'm
07:51 using that because it gives you a very natural, not orange, but more of just like a shadow.
07:58 It's so wonderful, and it's one of my favorite tricks. So definitely try a darker powder
08:02 instead of a bronzer for your face. Then I decided to moisturize my lips, because they
08:08 were very, very like, dry. And I used an aqua 4 lip product that I recently picked up at
08:14 Target, and while I'm waiting for that to dry, I went ahead and used ELF's Tickled Pink
08:22 Blush. I think it is so girly, and it's so pretty. Mellow Moth is also really gorgeous.
08:28 And then, Becca Highlight, girl you better believe it! Wow, this thing I cannot live
08:35 without. It's a very gorgeous, gorgeous highlight, and I applied it onto the tops of my cheeks,
08:39 I applied it to my nose, my forehead, and a little bit on my upper lip. Just simply to
08:43 bring a little bit more light, and make my face look like it's glowing. Now I'm taking
08:48 Whirl, which is actually a MAC lip liner. I couldn't find it, that's why I didn't film
08:54 it to show you guys what it looks like, because I think I left it in my car, but I'm not sure.
09:00 And I just filled it in, and then I used this Sonia Kashuk palette, which I got from Target.
09:05 It is a really nice selection of nudes. It was a holiday edition one, but I believe my
09:10 Target still has some. I'm not sure if they are on sale, but it's $20. I do think it's
09:15 a really nice selection. I actually went ahead and set my face, which I think is super important,
09:21 with my Urban Decay setting spray. And then I also went in with another lip color to just
09:27 add a little bit more of a purple-y shade. It's Rose to Feta from L'Oreal. Thank you
09:36 so much for watching, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Let me know what other makeup
09:40 tutorials you would like to see in the future. Would you like more wearable ones? Things
09:44 a little bit more glam? Or maybe just like, how to simple ones, like how to eyeliner,
09:49 how to cat eye, how to eyebrows, how to... I don't know. Let me know, I would love to
09:56 know. But, yeah! I'll see you guys next time! Bye!
