00:10 Who's fighting for civil rights and fighting for the advancement, particularly of people of Louisiana.
00:19 He most recently came to national acclaim running for U.S. Senator, our brother Gary Chambers.
00:26 Would you give God some praise for him? I'm honored to have you with us on today.
00:33 Two of my long-standing friends and comrades are here. We grew up together.
00:40 They're here from Baltimore, Edgar Carter. Raise your hand, Edgar. I'm glad to have you.
00:46 And JT, I just saw him just a minute ago. Thank you so very much. Glad to have all of you.
00:53 If you're visiting from outside of the state of Georgia, would you just raise your hand, visiting from outside?
00:59 Lord, y'all done, amen. We are so glad to have you all worshiping.
01:06 Oh, Arthur, I didn't see you. Arthur Waters, thank you so very much. Michelle Hargrove.
01:12 Mark chapter 6. Mark chapter 6.
01:18 This coming Tuesday, we close out our series for singles, widows, and divorcees.
01:25 My brother, Devon Franklin, will be teaching our Bible study on Tuesday night at 730.
01:33 So I ask that you will please come and share. It's going to be an amazing time of connection.
01:39 On Good Friday, we're just going to have a night of worship. It's going to be a night of worship.
01:44 Bishop William Murphy, the Dream Center, will be worshiping with us.
01:49 And my brother is coming in from Chicago, Pastor John Hanna.
01:54 It's going to be an amazing time for us to go before the throne room of God.
01:59 Mark chapter 6, verse 30 and 31.
02:04 Mark chapter 6, verse 30 and 31.
02:10 Once you found it, won't you say, "I got it."
02:14 The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught.
02:23 Then because so many people were coming and going, they didn't even have a chance to eat.
02:30 He said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."
02:38 They had been doing all kinds of teaching and preaching, but never did self-care.
02:46 Jesus said, "I need you to just go sit down somewhere and get some rest. You may be seated."
02:54 I want to preach for a little while today.
02:58 I had to do something. I had to do something.
03:06 Would you look at the person beside you and tell them, "I really didn't want to get involved, but I had to do something."
03:14 Look at the person on the other side and tell them, "It wasn't even in my job description, but I had to do something."
03:22 Tap the person in front of you and tell them, "And nobody asked me to do it. I just had to do something."
03:33 I had to do something.
03:40 When I was a little boy, the Incredible Hulk was my hero.
03:47 I marveled at how David Banner was celebrated with anger management issues
03:56 and could revert back to a calm demeanor as if total destruction had not just taken place at his hand.
04:08 As I grew a little bit older, my hero became Dr. J.
04:15 It wasn't just his imposing afro, his athletic agility,
04:22 but I remember in an interview he had with the late Howard Cosell,
04:28 who asked him, "How did you get your name?"
04:33 Julius Irving said, "It's because of how I operate."
04:41 My looming all-time heroes have always been my parents.
04:48 Enamored by my mother's intercession, her articulation, her diction,
04:57 my dad's natural magnetism and Christ-like compassion.
05:04 However, I noted something after the pandemic.
05:08 It dawned on me that the umbrella reserved for heroes has become a tent.
05:18 An S has been placed on the chest of all healthcare workers,
05:26 all bus drivers, all service workers, all first responders,
05:35 all school teachers, and even Uber drivers.
05:44 As critical thinkers, I wanted to ask you out loud today,
05:49 is it actually heroism when you are exercising what you agreed to?
06:00 Is it heroism, hear this, if you are paid to do it?
06:07 And should you be called a hero if it falls in the line of your call of duty?
06:16 Dr. King, another one of my heroes, said that anybody can be great
06:22 because anybody can serve.
06:27 In maturity, I understand that heroes don't have to wear masks or capes
06:33 or basketball uniforms.
06:36 They just have to be willing to help people
06:41 and to help people at the risk of compromising themselves.
06:48 They have found through data that if plenty of people are around,
06:53 the bystander effect kicks in.
06:57 If there are a lot of people around and there is a crisis,
07:01 people are less likely to become involved, engaged, or intervene.
07:08 But if left alone with a person in despair,
07:14 you are more prone to come to the rescue.
07:19 A crowd, a maddening crowd watched Jesus get whipped.
07:28 A crowd watched him get spat upon.
07:33 A crowd was there when they gambled for his clothes.
07:39 There was somebody who was in the crowd who watched it happen
07:44 and said nothing, did nothing, didn't try to prevent it
07:51 because they lost their voice being in a crowd.
07:59 The first time that Luther Vandross went to the Apollo Theater,
08:03 he was booed and heckled and Coca-Cola was thrown on the stage.
08:09 There had to have been somebody in the theater who actually enjoyed his voice.
08:16 But because of the crowd, they said nothing.
08:21 They didn't try to intervene. They didn't try to stop.
08:24 They did not try to quell the yells.
08:29 Little Rock Nine were en route to integrate Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.
08:38 People were all around them booing them and trying to prevent them from going through the door.
08:44 Are you telling me it wasn't just one person who was willing to say something?
08:50 Speak up for these young people's behalf.
08:54 Be a witness, be an ambassador, be a conduit, be a protector, but nobody would say anything.
09:04 And you wonder why there are a lot of people who don't like crowds.
09:12 Because people will step over you for their own escape.
09:18 So a lot of people now stay to themselves because they don't trust the crowd.
09:25 Dr. Benjamin Elijah May said, "I'd rather go to hell by myself than follow a crowd going to heaven."
09:33 Sometimes you've got to get away from the crowd to find who you are.
09:39 Sometimes you've got to get away from the group just to enjoy your own company.
09:44 Sometimes you've got to be at peace that I ain't got to go with everybody else.
09:49 I am fine at home.
09:56 If the truth be told, very few people consider themselves heroes.
10:04 Not that many of you in this room think of yourself as a hero.
10:10 Even when you had to do the unfathomable just to preserve yourself.
10:16 How you don't see yourself as a hero when you fought cancer by yourself?
10:23 How you don't see yourself as a hero when you walked away from a relationship just to save your self-esteem?
10:30 How you don't see yourself as a hero when people beat you down but you still keep your head up?
10:38 How do you not see yourself as a hero?
10:41 Your life does not look like what they predicted it was going to look like.
10:46 How you don't see yourself as a hero? You pulled yourself together when you were falling apart.
10:53 How do you don't see yourself as a hero? You taught yourself how to not commit suicide.
11:01 How do you not see yourself as a hero? With all of the dysfunction of your childhood, you still got a balance of sanity.
11:11 How do you not see yourself as a hero? You ain't never made enough money, but the lights always been on.
11:19 Your children always eating. You gotta see yourself as a hero.
11:27 You are a hero because you rescued yourself.
11:34 You removed yourself. You restored yourself.
11:40 I need you to look at the person beside you and tell them you ain't sitting beside somebody regular.
11:45 I'm more than a conqueror. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.
11:53 I need you to look at your neighbor and tell him half the people in this church couldn't survive the pressure that I've been under.
12:01 Most of the folk that are talking about me got no idea what it took just for me to get out of the bed.
12:09 It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's me. I got out of the bed this morning and I woke up with my mind intact.
12:25 I am a modern day hero because I jumped over obstacles and I was able to endorse status quo.
12:36 I was minimizing undervalued by people who were supposed to love and protect me.
12:42 You got no idea whenever I get dressed in the morning, it ain't a jail jumpsuit or an insane asylum outfit.
12:51 It is a meaning that I am a hero. If you don't believe me, I need you to know I was supposed to die twice.
13:02 But I got up with everything that's in me and said to every demonic principality,
13:10 no weapon that is formed against me shall be able to pass.
13:19 Come on, lay hands on yourself. Say I am a hero. I survived a lot. I endured a lot.
13:27 I fought through a lot and I'm still standing. If you know I'm talking about you, would you give God glory?
13:35 Come on, I need some super friends. Come on, open up your mouth.
13:41 If you know you are a curse breaker, if you know you are a history maker, if you know you are a world changer,
13:50 we are the superheroes. Hallelujah. You may be seated.
13:59 I wasn't reading a DC comic book. I wasn't watching ESPN or thumbing through a medical journal.
14:11 But I was revisiting the book of Mark and I stumbled into the sixth chapter where Jesus was in an intensive life coaching class.
14:23 He was going from city to city, pouring in the masses, ordaining apostles, furthering the gospel.
14:34 And the Bible said they had been at it so long that day and night had happened.
14:40 Here he is teaching, he's pouring, he's sharing, he's investing. And people, the Bible says, are coming and going.
14:49 I'm telling you, when you got a pure heart and got clean hands, you don't have time to chase down the people that left.
14:58 Y'all ain't saying nothing. You just got to thank God for those that stayed.
15:03 Because those that stayed really had an ear for what you were trying to accomplish.
15:09 I don't know where y'all are. Some of y'all are acting like you in witness protection.
15:13 But would you give God glory for the folk who left before you took off?
15:18 Not now. I don't owe you nothing now. I can do it without having any reservation.
15:25 Now I can be what I was born to be. I'm grateful for those who stayed.
15:33 He's doing all of this pouring. Advancing the church, advancing the kingdom, anointing apostles.
15:42 And people are leaving them. And new people are coming into his life.
15:47 And the day had gone by, hear this, that they didn't even realize that they had failed at self-care.
15:57 I'm not even talking to you. I'm talking to somebody a row behind you.
16:01 Who has spent so much energy trying to help other people, that they've done so at the neglect of themselves.
16:09 You deserve to be satisfied. Y'all ain't saying nothing.
16:14 All of the love that you have given out needs to start coming back to you.
16:20 You are too good of a person. Y'all ain't saying nothing.
16:24 You have been too noble in your intention to fall apart at the hand of trying to make other people come together.
16:32 But God told me to tell 50 of y'all that don't mind shouting.
16:36 He said before April is over, I'm going to do some things to take care of you.
16:43 I saw what you did for other people. But you deserve to be spoiled.
16:49 You deserve to be treated. You deserve to be taken care of hand and foot.
16:55 This is your week for self-care.
17:01 The Bible says that he had done all that teaching, all of that preaching.
17:07 And didn't even realize that he hadn't eaten.
17:10 Didn't even realize that he hadn't taken any time for rest.
17:15 And you probably will recognize the rest of this story if I had not stopped reading the verse so early.
17:21 But what you'll note in the preceding verses is this is where 5,000 people have gathered.
17:28 5,000 people, watch this, and that's not even including women and children.
17:34 I need you to notice something in this text that arrests me that I needed you to see.
17:39 What is amazing is there's 5,000 of them, but nowhere do I have any evidence that the disciples are hungry.
17:49 Nowhere does it say the disciples are hungry.
17:52 And because you graduated from Sunday school, you already know this miracle.
17:55 This is not a spoiler alert.
17:57 But nowhere do you ever find that when Jesus performed the miracles that did any of the disciples eat it.
18:06 I want to go a step further. You'll notice that at no moment in this passage does Jesus ever consume it.
18:14 So the disciples don't eat and Jesus doesn't eat.
18:19 And there are 5,000 people, not including women and children, and they're hungry.
18:26 I told you that when there is a crowd, it is less likely for somebody to stand up to be a hero.
18:34 This is not a crowd. This is a mass of 5,000.
18:38 They haven't even counted the women and the children.
18:41 And might I suggest to you humbly that somebody in the crowd must have pulled the disciples aside.
18:51 Somebody in the crowd pulled one of the disciples aside and said, "We hungry."
18:58 Y'all doing all of this teaching, y'all doing all of this anointing, y'all doing all of these services.
19:03 We are hungry.
19:06 Now notice they've been there all day.
19:09 5,000 of them, they're under the Palestinian sun that averages between 112 and 117 degrees a day.
19:17 They're dehydrated. There is no water.
19:20 But in that crowd, watch this, only one of the 5,000 has the nerve to speak for the group.
19:29 I think I've lost you.
19:31 Only one spoke, but 5,000 are hungry.
19:35 Now because one lifted their voice, it started putting stuff in order for a miracle to happen for 5,000.
19:45 Y'all getting ready to miss it.
19:47 He was not the only one in need.
19:50 But 5,000 other people needed what he needed.
19:55 But they kept their mouth shut.
19:58 I'm going to try to say something because I feel like I'm losing you.
20:01 Worshippers are the real heroes.
20:05 Y'all are getting ready to miss it.
20:07 I said worshippers are the real heroes.
20:10 Because when I lift my voice about what my need is, 5,000 other people who are dealing with the same thing
20:23 will get their need met at the same time.
20:26 Look down your row and tell your row, "I told y'all I'm a hero."
20:31 When I shout in this church today, 5,000 people are going to get a better job.
20:39 When I scream today, 5,000 children are going to get college scholarships.
20:47 When I open up my mouth, 5,000 bodies are going to get healed.
20:54 I don't need everybody to do it.
20:57 But if I got any heroes in the building, would you lift up your voice saying, "God, wow!"
21:06 Hey. Hey.
21:09 Hallelujah.
21:13 You may be seated.
21:15 Thank you, holy God.
21:17 You may be seated. I'm almost where I'm going.
21:20 You may be seated. Please.
21:23 Hallelujah.
21:25 You may be seated.
21:27 Musicians, let me walk by myself for just a moment.
21:30 You may be seated, please.
21:32 One of them came to the disciple and spoke on behalf of the 5,000.
21:40 Hallelujah.
21:41 You may be seated.
21:42 I only need--would you be seated for just one moment?
21:44 I got to show you something.
21:45 I need to show you something.
21:47 Please, I got to show you something.
21:48 The three of y'all, I need to show you something.
21:50 All right.
21:51 I only need one person on every row to stand.
21:56 That's all I need.
21:57 One person.
21:58 All right, I'll make it easier because too many of y'all trying to take over the ship.
22:02 Let me have the person who's sitting on the end of the row stand.
22:07 Whoever's sitting on the end of the row, stand.
22:10 One per row.
22:11 Thank you so very much.
22:13 Thank you so very much.
22:15 Thank you so very much.
22:17 All right.
22:18 Those of you who are standing, you all are the designated shouters for today.
22:23 You may be seated.
22:24 I'm coming to get you in a minute.
22:27 You be seated for just one moment.
22:28 Be seated.
22:29 I'm getting ready to pull you into active duty in just one moment.
22:33 Okay.
22:35 It's 5,000, not including women and children, and it only took one person to lift their voice.
22:42 When that one person lifted up their voice, Jesus starts going into action and said, "I heard what the request is.
22:50 What do you have?"
22:52 Y'all ain't saying nothing because one person lifted up their voice.
22:57 God starts moving to make sure whatever needs are on that row are getting ready to be met.
23:07 I feel bad for y'all.
23:09 If you ain't got somebody sitting in your section that don't mind screaming on your behalf.
23:17 God, I can't hear nobody.
23:19 I'm waiting on my heroes to show up.
23:22 God, you know what we need.
23:25 You know what we're standing in the need of.
23:28 You know what's happening with my son.
23:31 You know what's going on with my daughter.
23:34 I gotta lift up my voice because I don't want nobody else.
23:40 Hallelujah.
23:44 You may be seated.
23:46 Hallelujah.
23:47 You may be seated.
23:49 I feel God right here.
23:54 You don't even know what just happened.
23:57 When you shouted, God started lifting resources up.
24:02 When you started screaming, God began multiplying it.
24:08 When you lifted up your voice, he started giving blessings away.
24:14 I don't know who needs a miracle, but here's your shout.
24:19 God said you'll have it by sundown.
24:22 Before you go to bed tonight, whatever you need.
24:27 Hallelujah.
24:37 I got to go, but I just need to hear one sound in this room.
24:41 Would you just open up your mouth and just cry out under God like you need emergency intervention.
24:48 Hey!
25:06 I feel it. I just need to scream right here.
25:09 I feel it. I feel it. I feel it.
25:12 I feel it. I feel it. I feel it.
25:15 Hey, where my screamer?
25:16 I don't need the whole church.
25:18 I just need one on every row.
25:20 Hallelujah.
25:22 Every need will be met.
25:24 Every need will be met.
25:27 Every need will be met.
25:29 Every need will be met.
25:32 Every need will be met.
25:36 Hey, my shout.
25:38 Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:40 Hey.
25:42 You may be seated.
25:44 Hallelujah.
25:46 Thank you, holy God.
25:48 Come on my shout.
25:50 Hey.
25:52 Thank you, holy God.
25:54 Hallelujah.
25:56 Hallelujah.
25:58 You may be seated.
26:01 Thank you.
26:05 They're hungry.
26:07 There's 5,000 of them.
26:11 I don't want you to miss this.
26:14 And the 5,000 are adults.
26:17 I don't want you to miss this.
26:19 They are able-bodied adults.
26:23 There's 5,000 of them. I don't want you to miss this.
26:26 And they're hungry.
26:28 And they haven't eaten all day.
26:31 And there's one little kid walking around with a fish sandwich.
26:38 Five loaves of bread.
26:41 Surrounded by 5,000 hungry adults.
26:44 Hey, y'all are missing this.
26:46 I'm trying to help you to see the gospel through a ghetto eye.
26:50 Two fish, five loaves of bread, held by a little boy, surrounded by 5,000 adults.
26:57 Any one of them, I need you to hear this, any one of them could have snatched the lunch from them.
27:06 Any one of them could have beat them down, could have took it.
27:10 Any one of them could have manipulated them.
27:12 Said, "Hey, I'm a friend of your mother's. She said for you to give me half of that sandwich.
27:17 Come on and get in the van. I got a lollipop."
27:21 Could have done anything to take it, but they made up in their mind, watch this,
27:27 "In this season of my life, I don't want to be a part of anything immoral to get my needs met."
27:35 God, I can't hear anything.
27:37 "I don't want to compromise my integrity just because I'm hungry."
27:42 This is for 300 screamers, watch this.
27:45 You struggling, but you don't have to.
27:48 You could have did some other stuff, but you said, "I will look to the hills from which cometh my help."
27:56 "My help cometh from the Lord."
28:01 People have no idea you chose your struggle.
28:09 I ain't got to struggle like this.
28:12 I ain't got to live like this.
28:15 My kids don't even have to be in this place.
28:18 But because my standard of excellence is so high,
28:23 I'm not going to just take anything from anybody.
28:27 I want God to give it to me.
28:30 And God said, "Because you've been faithful over a few things, I'm getting ready to make you ruler over many."
28:38 I don't know where you are, but if you're in this room and there's been a rough season for you,
28:44 but you found out He will supply all of my needs.
28:56 Be seated for the last time today.
29:00 Thank you.
29:02 Be seated for the last time today.
29:06 If you'll indulge me, please, I want you to take that neighbor by the hand, indulge me for one moment.
29:14 I know you don't like holding hands. Just hold it light. Just hold it light.
29:21 Musicians, you can put your foot on the brake.
29:23 I'm not consistent with the text because in the text, they're not in church and there are no instruments.
29:31 They're just sitting outside.
29:34 Jesus says, "I am going to perform the miracle, but I'm not going to do it."
29:39 Read it when you get home. "I'm not going to do it until they're seated."
29:47 God, help me.
29:49 I don't want them just seated. I want them seated in sections.
29:55 God, help me. I want them seated in sections.
29:59 Watch this, because I'm going to bless them in sections.
30:04 God, I can't hear nobody in here.
30:07 All I need them to do is be seated.
30:09 They ain't got to do nothing, but be seated.
30:12 Watch this, and I'm going to do the rest.
30:16 Hallelujah, because I need them right now. They don't need to be heroes.
30:21 They just need God to be God.
30:25 And if they let me do my job, they ain't even got to work it.
30:28 Y'all ain't saying nothing.
30:30 I need you to look at your neighbor and say, "Something big is getting ready to happen. Something big."
30:36 Your neighbor's hand is in your hand.
30:38 Those of you who are online, my hand is connected to yours.
30:41 I'm getting ready to go.
30:42 Jesus tells the disciples, "Have them seated by sections."
30:47 Those of you that graduate from Vacation Bible School, you already know the text from here.
30:51 He takes the bread. He lifts it up.
30:56 He blesses it. He breaks it. Then he gives it away.
31:03 And every time he does it, it multiplies.
31:11 We get excited for the first ones that get the fish.
31:18 We get excited for the first ones that get the bread.
31:21 But I'm trying to figure out how long you think it takes, God help me, to multiply two fish, five loaves of bread, to meet the need of 5,000.
31:33 I'm getting ready to get out of here.
31:35 So the people who are in this section start getting restless.
31:39 Because the ones who are in this section, they got it first.
31:42 And the ones in this section had to watch them eat.
31:46 And the ones in this section trying to figure out, "Is it going to run out?"
31:51 God, y'all ain't saying nothing in here.
31:53 So a rumor starts happening.
31:56 A rumor starts happening. Don't you let that neighbor's hand go.
31:59 I said a rumor starts happening on the camp.
32:02 And they start saying something.
32:04 God help me.
32:05 They start saying something and it's only four words.
32:10 It's only four words.
32:11 And the four words that start going through the camp are, "It's on the way."
32:18 Now, I'm almost finished.
32:22 I need you to pull on whoever's hands you're on.
32:25 And tell them, "I know you've been waiting a long time.
32:28 I know you need God to do something.
32:31 But he had me to sit next to you to make an announcement over your life.
32:37 It's on the way."
32:41 Now, I don't need everybody to scream.
32:43 But those of y'all that know it is my time now,
32:47 would you loose that neighbor's hand and give God your best shout like it's already?
32:55 [applause]
33:00 Okay.
33:04 Oh my God.
33:07 I'm in the text.
33:09 Somebody just shout, "It's on the way."
33:11 It's on the way.
33:17 I want to make a prophetic declaration and then I'm gone.
33:22 The prophetic declaration is the disciples told Jesus, "Send them away."
33:29 Don't feed them nothing.
33:32 Send them away.
33:34 Let them go about on their own.
33:36 Send them away.
33:38 Jesus took the two fish, five loaves of bread, and made the disciples serve them.
33:47 Y'all missed it.
33:49 The people who tried to block your blessing are getting ready to starve in this season.
33:57 I can't hear nobody.
33:59 Whoever didn't want you to have it, God is going to give it to you in their face
34:04 so that you can understand what God has for you.
34:09 [applause]
34:14 He makes the disciples feed them.
34:17 Then he makes the disciples clean up.
34:22 I'm going to go to my opening argument.
34:25 My opening argument was, "Are you really a hero if this is what you're supposed to do?"
34:33 Are you really a hero when it is within your call of duty?
34:38 Are you really a hero--watch this--when you know that this is your assignment?
34:45 And something crazy happens, that the one who spoke up for the 5,000
34:50 has to turn himself in that his motives are not completely altruistic.
34:57 He is not doing it just for the 5,000.
35:01 He or she is lifting their voice because they've got to eat too.
35:07 Y'all are missing it here.
35:09 See, some of you have become so self-deprecating
35:14 that you only know how to look out for others
35:18 and you never know how to find your voice for yourself.
35:23 But God said, "In this last scream of the day, I don't want you shouting for your children.
35:28 They're going to be all right.
35:29 I don't need you to yell for your best friend. I got them in my hand.
35:33 I don't need you to holler for a relative. I'm telling you, I am a healer.
35:38 But in the last shout of the day, would you give God glory for what you need?
35:43 I need something."
35:46 Come on.
35:49 Come on, open up your mouth for whatever you're needing.
35:53 God, you know what my need is.
36:00 Y'all shouting like you don't believe your needs are going to get met.
36:07 Lift up that hand. I want to pray for superheroes who are in this room.
36:15 Superheroes that are online.
36:19 No wonder the enemy's been trying to silence you.
36:23 Your voice is strong enough to transform 5,000 lives.
36:31 Your witness will impact an entire generation.
36:37 What you have to say will shape policy.
36:43 It is going to redirect people who thought there was no hope.
36:50 Let me clear my throat.
36:53 God needs me to raise my voice.
36:56 Because there are 5,000 people who are depending on me.
37:00 Y'all didn't hear what I just said.
37:02 5,000 girls will never be the same if I ever talk about what I endure.
37:07 5,000 young men who never had a father are going to be a better man than they ever dreamed or imagined.
37:14 Because of what God put on my life.
37:18 Lift up that hand. I want to pray for you.
37:21 If you ever asked a hero, "What made you run into that burning building?"
37:30 "What made you pull that baby out of that car?"
37:36 "What made you pull him off the bridge before they committed suicide?"
37:43 "What made you stay with him all night while they were relapsing off of drugs?"
37:51 The only thing that a hero will tell you is, "I wasn't even thinking."
37:55 "I just moved into duty because I knew what I was born to do."
38:01 I speak of every lifted hand that God will anoint you to rescue people.
38:09 That God will use you to pull people out of poverty.
38:13 Pull people out of low self-esteem.
38:16 Pull people out of self-hate.
38:19 Pull people out of toxic relationships.
38:23 I speak of every lifted hand that your influence is now enlarged.
38:32 People are going to listen to what you have to say.
38:36 Your opinion matters.
38:39 Your thoughts are valuable.
38:42 I speak of every lifted hand that God is going to use you first to rescue family members.
38:52 Because there's somebody in your family that needs to be saved.
38:56 Needs to be pulled out.
38:59 And God's going to use you.
39:01 Those of you who are in this room, who are modern day, 21st century, post-pandemic heroes.
39:11 Would you open up your mouth and give God glory even now?
39:15 [applause]
39:23 That's terrible. That's the only cheer you get for yourself?
39:28 History books are going to write about you.
39:31 That's the only cheer you're going to get for yourself?
39:34 [applause]
39:38 They're going to have to update your name on Wikipedia.
39:42 Generations are going to rise up and call you blessed.
39:47 Because of what's on your life.
39:50 I want to say it to you in full transparency.
39:52 They may not know how much of a hero you are until you die.
40:00 The same nation that killed Dr. King gave him a holiday.
40:06 They didn't value his life, but only honored him after death.
40:12 A real hero doesn't need recognition.
40:16 [applause]
40:18 Come on, I can't hear nobody.
40:20 I said a real hero don't need their name called.
40:23 [applause]
40:25 Watch what your grandmother said.
40:27 If I can help somebody as I pass along, if I can cheer somebody with a word or with a song,
40:35 it's only then that my living is not in vain.
40:40 I want to open this altar for superheroes who don't even know who you are.
40:50 The temple of justice had a vote, and they didn't want Batman to be a super friend.
41:00 They didn't want Batman to be a super friend.
41:02 Watch this, y'all, because Batman has no powers.
41:09 All he has is expensive gifts from his father.
41:16 Can't run fast, he can't fly, but his father, watch this, after death gave him everything he needed.
41:26 There are people who think you are normal.
41:29 They think that you are average.
41:31 They think you run of the mill.
41:32 Think that you are just like them.
41:35 But they don't know after the death of Jesus, I got gifts that you don't even know about.
41:43 The favor on my life is unfair.
41:47 I'm telling you, you're walking on air.
41:50 I don't know where my superheroes are, but I need you at this altar.
41:56 I need you to join this church.
41:58 I need you to give your life over to God.
42:01 I need you to realize that there is something that I need God to do for me.
42:08 Listen to me, softly musicians, listen to me.
42:11 I need you standing.
42:14 Everybody in this room that has a cell phone, would you raise your hand if you got a cell phone?
42:21 You know what you do every night?
42:24 You charge it.
42:27 Whether you got an iPhone 9, 10, 12, or 15, no matter what number you got, you charge it.
42:35 Those of you who are still trying to find God, still trying to find your way, and you got an Android,
42:48 you charge it.
42:51 The only thing y'all brag about is better pictures, but other than that, that thing ain't doing nothing.
42:58 I got a Tesla. I have a Tesla car. I love it.
43:03 I'm telling you, I absolutely love it. It does everything. It does everything.
43:07 But no matter what it does, no matter where I've gone, when I get home at night, I still got to charge it.
43:13 There are those of you who are saying, "Pastor, why do I need a church? Why do I need a ministry?"
43:20 As great as you think you are, as brilliant as you think you are, as beautiful as you really convince yourself you are,
43:27 you still need a place to charge.
43:30 You still need a place to be connected.
43:34 Still need a place. Watch this.
43:36 You driving on 2%.
43:39 I'm telling you, whenever you leave Newburgh, you walking out full.
43:43 Wherever you are in this place, and you need to give your life over to God, wherever you are,
43:48 you need a church home. Would you come now?
43:50 Come on. Ain't nobody looking at you crazy.
43:53 Every Superman got kryptonite. Y'all ain't saying nothing.
43:56 All of us are dealing with something.
43:59 Wherever it is that you are, I need you standing.
44:02 All right. Y'all are playing hard to get. I'm coming to get you.
44:05 Let's do this. My road captains, would y'all now just investigate your road?
44:10 Would you talk to the people on your road?
44:12 Hey! Are y'all all saved?
44:15 Hey! Y'all got a church home?
44:18 Give God some praise for our dear sister who's coming.
44:23 God bless you. Honored to have you.
44:26 Hallelujah. If you're here on this day, I need you to come.
44:30 I want you to give me your hand, but more than that, I need you to give God your heart.
44:40 Y'all going to shout for these brothers.
44:43 Shout for these sisters. Come on. Give God some praise for them.
44:49 Listen. Even Jesus got 12 disciples.
44:54 I can't do less than 12. I need you to clap your hands as they come.
45:02 Come on. Are y'all going to give God some praise for this sister coming?
45:11 I only need four more. That's all I need. Four more. Four more of you.
45:15 If I can just get one from every section, amen.
45:19 And then a bonus one, I'll be on my way. One in every section, a bonus one.
45:23 Can y'all do a spin 360? Talk to the person on your left, on your right, in front of you, behind you.
45:28 Ask them, are you sure you're saved?
45:31 You sure you got a church home?
45:33 Are you sure you've given your life over to God?
45:37 Wherever you are, I need you to come. Hallelujah.
45:41 Don't worry about these people in here. All of us had to walk the green mile.
45:46 All of us had to fight through something.
45:49 Come on, help me thank God for this beautiful mother, beautiful baby.
45:54 Come on, we're thanking God for families today.
45:58 I only need two more to come. I only need two more to come.
46:06 Come on, give God some praise.
46:09 Here come the whole tribe called Quest. Come on.
46:12 Y'all better shout for this family. Here they come.
46:20 This the whole 12 hours waiting on.
46:33 I told you when you shout for one, something happens for 5000.
46:37 If you believe another person can get saved, would you lift up your voice now if you believe one more can get saved?
46:46 All right.
46:48 The Bible says Jesus will leave the 99 to go after that one.
46:52 I'm believing by faith that one more will come.
46:55 If y'all believe that God can save another person in this room, that another person can join this church.
47:02 I need everybody in the room to shout Lord, bring one more.
47:07 Bless the Lord. Now go to work. Would you just talk?
47:10 Watch this. Talk to whoever look like they don't want you to talk to them.
47:14 Come on, talk to him. Talk to him. Here it comes.
47:17 Y'all go shop for this brother.
47:27 That's the Lord.
47:29 I'm thankful for this one.
47:32 I already know what it is.
47:34 You're still another one.
47:36 I got no peace waiting on you.
47:39 You don't drove through the rain and still playing hard to get.
47:42 You know, you want to be with us.
47:44 You know, you want to be in this church.
47:46 I need you to come.
47:56 How you feel coming? How you feel? How you feel?
48:06 All right. Search your right hand to faith.
48:09 If you come and come now.
48:12 Those of you who are online, those of you online, we are a local church making a global impact.
48:17 It doesn't matter whether you live in Australia, Alaska or Alabama.
48:21 You can still be connected to what New Birth is doing.
48:24 I want you to join the church. All of our prompts are on your screen right now.
48:28 I'm trying to give time for that last late bloomer who knows you need to get down here.
48:34 Come on. Walk while nobody is looking.
48:36 Come on. Ain't nobody paying attention.
48:38 You just sneak down the aisle right here.
48:40 Come on. Real quick. Search your right hand to faith to our new family.
48:44 Repeat after me. You're in the right place at the right time.
48:49 You're going to the right church serving the only God. And I know that's right.
48:55 If you know I'm right about it, would you give God some praise even now?
49:01 New Birth, they came as our friends, but they're leaving as our family.
49:05 Would you give God some praise for them as it's your please follow us this way.
49:10 The lady has on the hose holding up the sign saying follow.
49:20 [Silence]
49:24 [Silence]
49:27 [Silence]
49:30 [Silence]
49:33 [Silence]
49:36 [BLANK_AUDIO]
