00:00 Hey guys, what's up? It's Keziah coming at you with another makeup tutorial.
00:04 Today we're doing Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls. Sorry if the quality is a
00:08 little bit low in this video. I am waiting on a new laptop and camera so
00:12 I'm actually doing all of this with my iPad. Now I'm gonna start out by
00:16 creating a little yellow triangle around my eye to create the effect that my eye
00:21 is actually his eye and the triangle is his body of course. Now be warned that
00:26 yellow face paint tends to be kind of patchy so you're gonna have to put on a
00:30 couple layers. Then I'm lining my eye with black liquid liner and then
00:35 painting my lid completely black. That way when I close my eye it'll add to the
00:40 effect of the, I don't know, cartoony Bill Cipher eye and my lashes I'm gonna add
00:45 on later won't look too long either when I close my eye. Now adding on those
00:49 lashes with a black liquid liner, the same one that I used to line my eye, and
00:54 I'm also using that as well as black face paint to fill in other little
00:58 details of his person. So I'm filling in like his top hat and his arms and legs
01:03 and his little bow tie. And I actually found when I was painting the white face
01:10 paint around him later that it probably would have been a better idea to fill in
01:14 these details after that. You'll see what I'm talking about in a minute. But
01:18 then I'm just using a darker brown to fill in the brick detailing and using
01:22 that liquid liner to create his bow tie with an X and then filling in either
01:27 side of said X. Now like I said here I'm gonna start with the white face paint
01:32 that surrounds him in sort of a cloud shape and you'll see what I mean. I just
01:36 could not get around some of the intricate detailing of his person, of his
01:40 arms, his legs. So I actually decided, like I said, I probably should have done that
01:46 after I did the white face paint. It depends on how you feel about it and how
01:50 careful you can be. But around the parts I just could not get around. I painted
01:55 over them and then touched them back up later. Yeah you just want to create sort
01:59 of this cloudy looking thing and again it doesn't have to look too vivid because
02:04 it is supposed to look like, you know, cloudy. So it can be patchy because we're
02:08 trying to go for kind of a nebulous galaxy effect and this looks more more
02:13 realistic to that. And now with a bigger brush I am just using blue face paint
02:18 and it's gonna be kind of hard to describe where I'm placing it. There's no
02:21 real rhyme or reason to this. You just kind of want to fade from a white to
02:26 Bill Cipher into a black which will be the nebulous background of another
02:31 dimension. I'm pretty sure I've said that sentence in many different ways quite a
02:35 few times in this tutorial and I will continue to do so. I apologize. Anyway it
02:40 can still look patchy like I said but also make sure it does look like a vivid
02:44 pop of color so that your face, the actual details of your face, doesn't
02:49 distract from the fact that this is supposed to be a background type effect.
02:53 And then filling in the black everywhere else on my ears, around my eye, and on my
02:58 neck, and even a little bit in my hairline. Again you're not supposed to
03:01 look like a person. You're supposed to look like a background. And this is the
03:05 part where I realized I probably should have put my triangle earrings in later.
03:09 Once again everybody makes mistakes. We're not all perfect. My makeup runs
03:13 don't tend to be their most perfected the first time around. So I just took my
03:18 earrings out and I'm gonna add them back in later. Also they are triangle earrings.
03:22 Get it? Get it? Hmm? Anyway I'm also filling in that black like I said pretty dark but
03:29 it can still be patchy to add to the effect. Just make sure it's darker so
03:33 that the details on your face don't distract from the effect like I said like
03:37 five times already. But it's important to remember! Anyway now with the longer but
03:41 still kind of small like skinny paintbrush I'm gonna go in and fill in
03:46 little patches and details I feel like need to be with my artistic eye. And then
03:51 I'm also going to kind of trickle the colors into each other using that brush
03:56 as well so it looks more faded and less like just colors on top of colors. And
04:00 then I'm going to use that same brush to add red face paint in the form of blood
04:05 splatters all over my face and my neck and everywhere. And there's again no real
04:09 rhyme or reason to this. Be sporadic. Blood is pretty sporadic. Just make sure
04:14 you know what direction it's sprayed from. And I'm doing that just as an homage to
04:18 I guess Bill Cipher's character and the mystery aspect of the series as well as
04:22 the fact that there are blood splatters on certain pages in the journal
04:25 especially in Bill Cipher's page. And then going back in with my paint to add
04:31 little details and touch-ups. And I actually realized he has three rows of
04:35 bricks not two so I'm adding those in. Anyway thank you guys so much for
04:38 watching. This is a really simple tutorial. I hope you enjoyed it and this
04:42 is what it looks like when you're all done. Thanks for watching. Love my tender
04:46 lumplings everywhere and I will see y'all later. Bye-nee.
