Ganga Dussehra 2023 will be observed on May 30. This annual celebration is also known as Gangavataran. It is a Hindu festival celebrating the avatarana (descent) of the Ganges. It marks the day when the holy river descended to Earth from the heavens. The festival is a grand affair in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and West Bengal. As per Drik Panchang, the Dashami Tithi for Ganga Dussehra 2023 began at 11:49 am on May 29 & will continue until 01:07 pm on May 30. Devotees visit Prayagraj/Allahabad, Garhmukteshwar, Haridwar, Rishikesh and Varanasi to take the holy dip. Watch the video to know more.
