00:00:00 (upbeat music)
00:00:02 - Let's stand as we go to Joshua 6 verse 1,
00:00:14 Hebrews 11 verse 30,
00:00:17 Luke 18 verse 35,
00:00:21 and Luke 19 verse 1.
00:00:24 And we'll rehearse those again,
00:00:27 the King James version.
00:00:30 57 minutes and we're done.
00:00:33 Now Jericho was straightly shut up
00:00:39 because of the children of Israel.
00:00:50 None went out,
00:00:56 none came in.
00:00:59 And the Lord said to Joshua,
00:01:03 capital S in the middle of a sentence,
00:01:07 see, I have given into your hand Jericho
00:01:12 and the King of Jericho
00:01:22 and I have given you the mighty men of valor of Jericho.
00:01:27 Chapter 11 verse 30 of the book of Hebrews.
00:01:36 While you're going there, don't miss tomorrow night.
00:01:40 You have one of the most articulate African preachers
00:01:43 on the planet.
00:01:44 Metropolitan Bishop Paul Eddie Ferrison.
00:01:49 You don't want to miss that.
00:01:51 By faith, the walls of Jericho fell down
00:01:56 after they were compassed about seven days.
00:02:07 Luke 18 verse 35.
00:02:12 And it came to pass that as he was come near to Jericho
00:02:20 a certain blind man sat by the wayside begging.
00:02:25 And then it goes into Luke 19 verse one, same journey.
00:02:34 And so he heals Bartimaeus.
00:02:39 And as he entered and passed through Jericho,
00:02:44 behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus,
00:02:49 which was the chief among the publicans.
00:02:52 And he was rich and he sought to see Jesus who he was.
00:02:57 My message title tonight is simply Jericho had no preacher.
00:03:06 Jericho had no preacher.
00:03:14 Heavenly father, we pray for your blessing
00:03:18 in the name of Jesus, amen.
00:03:21 No matter who you are and no matter what you've come for,
00:03:25 everyone is taking something home tonight, amen.
00:03:30 Joshua, as you know, is Jehovah has become my salvation.
00:03:44 And Jesus is Yeshua, which is Joshua,
00:03:49 also meaning Jehovah has become my salvation.
00:03:54 And at any given moment for whatever situation
00:03:59 you might be in, whether large or small,
00:04:04 insignificant, cataclysmic or catastrophic,
00:04:08 salvation is necessary.
00:04:12 And so Jericho then is representative
00:04:17 of some of our calamities we face
00:04:22 as we go to what God has promised.
00:04:25 So Jericho is an enigma.
00:04:28 It represents our greatest challenge
00:04:32 and also our greatest victory.
00:04:38 Jericho is an enigma because this city
00:04:43 deals with every facet of human expression
00:04:48 when we are about to enter any realm of success.
00:04:53 The valiant leadership in an individual
00:05:01 becomes absolutely necessary and vital.
00:05:06 The single component you need here is courage.
00:05:11 You need courage, not even faith,
00:05:16 because it's been given to you.
00:05:18 You need courage because of what you are about to see.
00:05:23 The majestic walls of Jericho
00:05:33 are so masterfully constructed and built.
00:05:37 They were so spectacular and jaw-dropping
00:05:41 due to its engineering, which many of the Jews
00:05:45 traveling through the wilderness had never seen.
00:05:48 And Bishop Jakes did a lot of the groundwork for me.
00:05:52 Thank you so much, I owe you some money.
00:05:54 Yet the majestic walls, seemingly to be impenetrable,
00:06:03 had earth foundations.
00:06:07 They had weak ideological stances.
00:06:11 They had insipid philosophical positions
00:06:16 and baseless spirituality.
00:06:20 It was extremely shallow.
00:06:23 And so their high posture was just a pedantic posture
00:06:28 with no substance.
00:06:32 Israel, on the other hand, seemed dwarfed.
00:06:37 Yet their spirit had been raised by faith.
00:06:42 A generation had not inherited the promise
00:06:47 because they had received the word,
00:06:51 but couldn't enter in because they didn't mix it with faith.
00:06:56 But this is another generation
00:07:00 that has had the experience,
00:07:04 and now they are mixing this with faith
00:07:07 because without faith it is impossible to please God.
00:07:12 And so Jericho then is a metaphor
00:07:20 of our individual translations.
00:07:23 It's not the wilderness,
00:07:26 it is not entirely the promised land,
00:07:29 and it definitely is not Egypt.
00:07:32 It represents a partial victory.
00:07:36 Jericho secures two great statesmen of faith
00:07:42 who were of a different spirit.
00:07:45 They are embraced because of their belief
00:07:49 and their confidence in God,
00:07:52 not just their optimism,
00:07:55 but their claim that God was able
00:07:59 to deliver all of his promise in a week.
00:08:04 And God honored that and suspended their aging process.
00:08:10 That after 40 years, Caleb said,
00:08:15 "I'm 85 years old, but I'm still 40 in my body."
00:08:21 God will suspend the aging process in your life
00:08:26 so that the promise he gave you decades ago,
00:08:31 you will not be in a wheelchair
00:08:34 and have someone else enjoy what you believe for.
00:08:39 Even though Jericho belonged to Joshua and to Israel,
00:08:50 he still had to earn it.
00:08:55 He had to have skin in the game.
00:09:00 They had to fight for it,
00:09:03 and they had to take it by faith,
00:09:06 and the violent take it by force.
00:09:10 I know it's yours.
00:09:13 You know what God has promised you is yours,
00:09:18 but he wants to know how bad do you really want it?
00:09:23 Are you willing to lay everything down on the line
00:09:29 to get what is so close and yet so far?
00:09:34 And so with Joshua,
00:09:38 God released out of Abraham's land,
00:09:43 God leased that land to the inhabitants of the land
00:09:49 He leased it in the lease agreement of rental payments
00:09:54 that were levied on the inhabitants of the land
00:09:58 for 500 years.
00:10:01 Their lease payments were, you will dig wells,
00:10:06 you will plant vineyards, you will build houses,
00:10:11 you will structure walled cities,
00:10:16 because the children of Israel are too small,
00:10:21 don't have the structure, the systems,
00:10:24 the capacity to possess the promise.
00:10:27 So in the meantime, I will lease your land,
00:10:32 and their payment will be,
00:10:34 they will build the infrastructure for you.
00:10:38 (audience cheering)
00:10:45 And so just pass your land and tell them,
00:10:48 keep on building baby, I'm coming.
00:10:50 Build that university, build that hospital,
00:10:56 I'm not quite ready, but when I will,
00:10:59 I know it's all mine.
00:11:02 Hallelujah.
00:11:05 And so Joshua rightfully, legally,
00:11:12 approaches Jericho with an ownership mentality,
00:11:17 because this promise was given 500 years before
00:11:22 to a man who could not have children.
00:11:26 He was told you'll have a son through Sarah,
00:11:30 and through her son, the nations will be blessed.
00:11:35 And if you are Abraham, and you are in a camp
00:11:40 where 318 men are born in your household
00:11:45 without a promise, and yet you are with a promise,
00:11:52 and can't get anything going,
00:11:57 it is imperative that you stagger not
00:12:03 at the promise of God, and hold fast to what you believe.
00:12:10 You have to remind your son Isaac God has promised.
00:12:15 Isaac was 40 when he married Rebecca.
00:12:20 He was 60 when the twins were born.
00:12:25 He died at 175, which meant he had 15 years
00:12:30 with Esau and with Jacob.
00:12:37 The patriarch, 15 years, teaching those boys
00:12:42 the fundamentals of what it means to be righteous
00:12:47 and to walk by faith.
00:12:49 That is why when Jacob gets to Luz,
00:12:53 it is natural for him to take what he had,
00:12:58 anoint the stones of that place.
00:13:02 Not a stone, the stones.
00:13:05 Instinctively, he chose 12 stones,
00:13:10 and anointed each of them, made one a pillow
00:13:15 that was the king that was coming out of him,
00:13:20 and promised what granddaddy did and was blessed.
00:13:24 When you bless me and I get back, I will pay my tithes.
00:13:32 They understood that the land belonged to them.
00:13:37 Shall it belongs to me?
00:13:39 - It belongs to you.
00:13:40 - And so Jericho then stands stoic
00:13:45 because it boasts of its impenetrability
00:13:52 and its impervious structure.
00:13:55 It had not been tested by a nation like Israel.
00:14:00 Jericho is arrogant because of its incredible
00:14:05 architectural and engineering achievements.
00:14:09 Number three, Jericho is a structure.
00:14:14 It is a system.
00:14:16 It is an organized layer, a collage of events
00:14:21 with an endless utendrum of ideas, concepts,
00:14:27 thoughts in open display.
00:14:31 Jericho has layered systematic physical stone walls,
00:14:36 and these layered stone walls,
00:14:42 each stone complementing each other
00:14:45 and committing one to another, we will not be moved.
00:14:50 We will hold our rank in any event of an invasion.
00:14:58 These physical structures represented
00:15:03 the spiritual hierarchy above Jericho
00:15:07 that we know God has delivered Israel
00:15:12 out of the hand of Pharaoh and various kings like Og,
00:15:17 but Jericho, we are a different animal.
00:15:20 They have not faced this kind of an opposition,
00:15:25 and so we will not be intimidated at all.
00:15:30 Number five, Jericho's stone layer and walls
00:15:35 were independent of any city.
00:15:39 They were a standalone kingdom
00:15:41 that others were dependent on.
00:15:44 Jericho was defiant because it had emerged
00:15:48 and evolved into an industrial manufacturing
00:15:52 and commercial hub.
00:15:55 It had become a Switzerland of the area,
00:15:59 a place in which money was exchanged on a massive scale.
00:16:04 Whatever you needed, from a 747 to a cargo ship
00:16:10 to a train of camels to bunches of dates
00:16:15 to all kinds of trade, you could find it in Jericho,
00:16:20 anytime, anywhere, from almost anybody.
00:16:24 Thus, they were so arrogant.
00:16:27 So God had to raise elements to preach to Jericho
00:16:33 because there was no one in Jericho to preach
00:16:39 that God has an agenda.
00:16:42 So the first thing God is going to use
00:16:45 is going to speak to the rocks.
00:16:48 When you hear a shout, you will worship and bow down.
00:16:53 And so when you hear that shout and you bow down,
00:16:58 you go down.
00:17:01 So the rocks were waiting for the shout.
00:17:05 (audience cheering)
00:17:08 Israel were living stones.
00:17:16 These were dead stones waiting for expression.
00:17:22 Please help me, Holy Ghost.
00:17:25 And so when the people were queued to shout,
00:17:29 remember the manor had ceased when they crossed Jordan.
00:17:34 But what had not ceased was the cloud by day
00:17:39 and the fire by night.
00:17:41 So for the first six days, the people in Jericho
00:17:46 only heard them marching but couldn't see them
00:17:50 because of the mist.
00:17:52 The mist was hiding the strategy.
00:17:57 (audience cheering)
00:18:01 The devil knows you're there but he can't touch you
00:18:05 because the mist of God is keeping your strategy hidden.
00:18:10 Shout to somebody and say, "He's got you, baby.
00:18:15 "He's got you, he's got you, he's got you."
00:18:18 Amen.
00:18:19 The enemy can't figure out, do they have spears?
00:18:22 Do they have swords?
00:18:24 Do they have shields?
00:18:26 They just see this mist and they hear the sound
00:18:30 for six days and they going crazy.
00:18:34 They losing their minds.
00:18:36 They can't sleep in the day and sure enough,
00:18:40 they not sleeping at night
00:18:42 because they see this massive fire
00:18:46 shining all over a camp and Israel is just eating up
00:18:50 the corn, having fun, knowing that the seventh day
00:18:55 is on the way and everything that we have believed for
00:19:00 for 500 years, which are 10 jubilees.
00:19:05 The 10 jubilees are about to be fulfilled
00:19:10 on the seventh day and it's all going to be ours.
00:19:16 Give someone a fist bump and say, "It's all coming to you."
00:19:21 - All coming to you.
00:19:22 - Oh, help me, Holy Ghost.
00:19:24 Help me, Holy Ghost.
00:19:27 Help me, Holy Ghost.
00:19:29 And so Joshua said to the people, "This is corporate."
00:19:38 Psalm 66, 67 says, "Let the people know
00:19:44 "the people praise thee, O God.
00:19:47 "Let all the people praise thee.
00:19:51 "Let the people praise thee, O God.
00:19:54 "Let all the people praise thee.
00:19:57 "Then shall the earth yield its increase."
00:20:02 And so I don't care if you are sick, lame, tired,
00:20:09 haven't slept, had a bad night,
00:20:12 the seventh shout is corporate.
00:20:16 It's a shout of triumph because the city has to yield.
00:20:21 Everything that it has ever garnered
00:20:29 is being reserved for you.
00:20:31 This is going to be the second major world transfer
00:20:38 that you will experience.
00:20:40 The first one was on your mother,
00:20:42 your father, your grandfather.
00:20:45 You heard about that world transfer,
00:20:47 but this world transfer belongs to you
00:20:52 as you settle in the land that God has promised you.
00:20:57 I'm telling you a sure enough
00:21:00 as I'm to the bismuth from Zimbabwe,
00:21:03 a door is opening wide here for a massive world transfer.
00:21:08 Jericho had no preacher,
00:21:14 but someone's about to preach to Jericho
00:21:18 to regurgitate what is yours, give him a praise.
00:21:23 (audience cheering)
00:21:26 (audience applauding)
00:21:29 And so when God cannot find a preacher,
00:21:41 he found a witness,
00:21:45 a most unlikely individual by the name of Rahab.
00:21:50 She was a witness.
00:21:54 And the reason she was a witness,
00:21:57 she had something inside of her
00:22:00 that she didn't know was there.
00:22:03 The enemy didn't know was there.
00:22:07 Joshua, Caleb, and the Jews didn't know was there.
00:22:12 And the reason she had her occupation
00:22:15 is because she was experimenting
00:22:18 knowing that something was there.
00:22:20 And if she would get pregnant,
00:22:23 what was there would manifest.
00:22:26 But Jesus was so deep inside of Rahab,
00:22:31 it was gonna take the Holy Spirit
00:22:36 to find Jesus inside of her.
00:22:42 That's why they said, "We've got to get her out.
00:22:46 She has a message for the world.
00:22:49 We don't know what it is.
00:22:51 We don't know what it sounds like.
00:22:53 We don't know what it means,
00:22:55 but we got to save that girl
00:22:58 because she's carrying a savior
00:23:02 we don't even understand.
00:23:04 She has a treasure in an earthen vessel.
00:23:10 There's a glory about this girl.
00:23:13 We have got to get her out."
00:23:15 (audience cheering)
00:23:18 (audience laughing)
00:23:21 And so to hint that she was the one,
00:23:26 the two nameless spies,
00:23:31 because she has to be the feature of the story.
00:23:36 She hides them on a rooftop,
00:23:40 not in one of her private rooms.
00:23:44 She is an entrepreneur.
00:23:47 She is active every day
00:23:50 and has clients of all kinds of walks
00:23:56 with all kinds of services provided
00:24:00 because the city will not open doors for her.
00:24:04 She's gonna open her doors for her own satisfaction.
00:24:09 And so when these two men come to her,
00:24:15 she recognizes, "I am not facing men
00:24:20 that have come for my services."
00:24:24 In that way, they have come
00:24:26 because they have identified something on me.
00:24:31 They have sensed there's an anointing on my life
00:24:37 that I don't understand.
00:24:40 And so a woman who persuades men
00:24:44 to spend time with them,
00:24:46 persuades these men to save her life.
00:24:51 I'll save your life if you'll save my life.
00:24:57 And these men cut a covenant
00:25:00 what the woman they knew could not be truly responsible.
00:25:05 And I have met people who might be immoral,
00:25:10 but they have honor.
00:25:12 (audience cheering)
00:25:15 She honored the two men
00:25:18 because not one time did they make a pass at her
00:25:22 or make a suggestion at her.
00:25:24 Their assignment was not pleasure.
00:25:28 Their assignment was we taking it all.
00:25:33 (audience cheering)
00:25:36 And to prove that she was carrying something special,
00:25:42 she threw a red cord out of a window,
00:25:47 a bloodline that was deep down inside her spirit.
00:25:52 She let them out of the enemy's camp,
00:25:58 out of the bloodline.
00:26:01 We overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb
00:26:05 and the word of our testimony
00:26:08 that for 40 years we've been afraid of you,
00:26:12 wondering when you were coming.
00:26:15 I need somebody to say, "It's coming tonight."
00:26:19 (audience laughing)
00:26:22 And so she is forced to witness
00:26:30 and make herself a preacher.
00:26:33 Remember Jericho had no preacher.
00:26:38 But God promoted her to be a witness.
00:26:43 And so a preacher then is one who declares good news.
00:26:48 Gospel is the good news of the kingdom.
00:26:54 The gospel is declaring the kingdom of God has arrived.
00:26:59 It declares that heaven's system is manifesting
00:27:06 and heaven's way is taking root.
00:27:09 Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.
00:27:14 So preaching then proclaims a new government with new laws.
00:27:21 Preaching destroys old curses,
00:27:28 announces and releases new blessings.
00:27:33 Preaching sets the standard
00:27:36 for what is to be established first
00:27:39 and everything after you preach follows.
00:27:43 Peter must follow in the line of what you have said
00:27:47 because you have set the tone.
00:27:50 Preaching creates an opportunity
00:27:54 for those whose hearts cannot be touched.
00:27:58 A person cannot be saved without preaching.
00:28:03 A preacher cannot preach unless they are sent.
00:28:08 And once you are sent as a preacher,
00:28:13 there are standards that have to be upheld.
00:28:18 Anybody can witness and testify of what they see around.
00:28:23 But when you talk about a preacher,
00:28:26 we're talking about something else.
00:28:29 Jericho, you have a witness,
00:28:31 but Jericho, you need a preacher.
00:28:35 Put your hands together while I find a breath.
00:28:39 [audience applauding]
00:28:42 And so there is a preacher in every apostle.
00:28:49 There is a preacher in every prophet.
00:28:52 There's a preacher in every evangelist, pastor and teacher.
00:28:56 There is a preacher in a mentor, a guide,
00:28:59 a carpenter, a plumber, an electrician.
00:29:02 There's a preacher in an architect, an engineer,
00:29:04 a quantity surveyor, a mailman, a doctor,
00:29:06 a lawyer, entrepreneur, interior director,
00:29:08 movie producer, script writer, a pilot,
00:29:11 a father, a mother, a son, a daughter,
00:29:12 a follower, an usher, a parking marshal.
00:29:14 There's a preacher in a tree.
00:29:16 There's a preacher in a frog.
00:29:17 There's a preacher in a speaker.
00:29:19 There's a preacher in a carpet.
00:29:20 There's a preacher in a building.
00:29:22 Everything that you're looking at
00:29:24 at any given moment is preaching to you.
00:29:28 Sometimes it's loud.
00:29:30 That demands you change.
00:29:32 Sometimes it's a gentle voice
00:29:35 that you slow down and listen.
00:29:37 But preaching is something,
00:29:39 if you'll take the time, you will hear every day.
00:29:43 And so for the preacher then,
00:29:47 the question is, 2 Kings 3 and verse 12.
00:29:52 I'm taking my time just a little as I build my case.
00:29:57 2 Kings 3 verse 12.
00:30:00 In the middle of a battle,
00:30:02 Jehoshaphat said, "I need a word from the Lord.
00:30:07 "I'm not going into this battle
00:30:10 "without a word from the Lord."
00:30:13 And so somebody said, "We have a prophet.
00:30:16 "He doesn't give us good words.
00:30:19 "His name is Elisha."
00:30:21 So look at 2 Kings 3 verse 12.
00:30:24 And Jehoshaphat said, "The word of the Lord is with him."
00:30:29 And so the king of Israel, Jehoshaphat,
00:30:35 and the king of Edom went down
00:30:38 to get the word of the Lord.
00:30:41 Elisha said, "I have the word of the Lord,
00:30:45 "but I need a minstrel.
00:30:49 "I need someone that can play
00:30:53 "to get the juices of prophetic gifting to move."
00:30:58 The minstrel said, "I can play,
00:31:01 "but I need an instrument in which I can play."
00:31:06 The instrument said, "I can be available,
00:31:10 "but I need someone with skill
00:31:13 "that can make an instrument
00:31:15 "that is so key that it can play middle A
00:31:20 "without any problem at all in the middle of the desert."
00:31:25 The instrument said, "I need certain materials
00:31:29 "that can only come from certain trees.
00:31:32 "Certain trees can only be planted by certain people."
00:31:37 So for one word, you have eight or nine entities
00:31:42 preaching to each other just to get a word for one battle.
00:31:47 And so sisters and brothers, for this conference,
00:31:51 there's been preaching going on for the last two years.
00:31:56 If you would dare to listen,
00:31:58 God is up to something major here,
00:32:02 and what has been preached will be fulfilled in your life.
00:32:07 Can I go a little deeper?
00:32:12 In Jeremiah chapter 37 and verse 17,
00:32:17 in the fourth administration of Jeremiah's imprisonment,
00:32:22 Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah and took him out of prison.
00:32:27 And in verse 17, he brought him out secretly and privately
00:32:32 and asked him a question.
00:32:36 Is there any word from the Lord?
00:32:41 And he said, "There is.
00:32:44 "For 2023, 2024, and beyond,
00:32:49 "we need men and women who have a word from the Lord."
00:32:54 There's too much confusion.
00:32:57 There's too much killing.
00:32:59 There's too much division.
00:33:02 Somalia needs help.
00:33:04 Zimbabwe's going into an election.
00:33:07 Our money has gone crazy.
00:33:09 Madagascar is collapsing.
00:33:12 China is going nuts.
00:33:14 We're not sure what's happening in parts of Asia
00:33:19 and Europe and the Ukraine.
00:33:21 We have got to have a word from the Lord, not pulpiteering.
00:33:26 We need a word from the Lord
00:33:29 that can shake the foundation of Jericho's
00:33:33 all over our nations.
00:33:36 Jericho, you've got to be brought to attention.
00:33:39 You've been too prideful, too arrogant.
00:33:42 You've stood up stoic and stated your position
00:33:46 without any apology.
00:33:49 But it's time now for this Joshua group
00:33:53 to stand up and say,
00:33:55 "We are taking what God has put into our hands.
00:34:00 "I'm willing to be the preacher for Jericho."
00:34:05 (audience cheering)
00:34:06 Give someone a high five.
00:34:08 I'm saying, "I'm your man.
00:34:10 "I'm your woman.
00:34:11 "I'll preach to Jericho."
00:34:13 And so the preacher then,
00:34:20 before you preach to Jericho,
00:34:23 the preacher must preach Christ.
00:34:26 You can't have a church service without mentioning Jesus.
00:34:36 How dare we remove the builder of the church,
00:34:40 the Holy Spirit, out of the church?
00:34:43 I will send you a helper, the paraclete,
00:34:47 who will lead you.
00:34:49 How can we take the Holy Spirit out of the church?
00:34:53 How can we remove speaking with other tongues?
00:34:56 How can we push gifts of the Spirit aside?
00:35:00 How can we neglect miracle signs and wonders?
00:35:04 And these signs shall follow them
00:35:08 that believe in my name.
00:35:12 I pronounce Jericho,
00:35:15 get ready for a radical series of miracles,
00:35:19 revival, outbreaks of the Holy Spirit
00:35:23 that are totally outrageous.
00:35:26 If you hungry for that, give God a Jericho shout.
00:35:32 (audience cheering)
00:35:35 The preacher, the preacher
00:35:44 must prepare,
00:35:49 prepare himself, herself,
00:35:52 before we prepare the Word.
00:35:54 Number three, number four,
00:35:56 the preacher must have prayer central to their life.
00:36:02 Where is prayer?
00:36:05 Behind the pulpit.
00:36:07 The preacher must rehearse the precious promises
00:36:12 of God's covenant.
00:36:14 The preacher must preach persuasively
00:36:18 to get a verdict so God can rule on behalf
00:36:22 of the people you defend
00:36:25 because you are the defending lawyer
00:36:28 and the devil is the prosecuting attorney
00:36:31 accusing the people every day
00:36:34 and your word brings to the throne of justice
00:36:39 people's cases so God can rule on their behalf.
00:36:44 So you have to preach persuasively,
00:36:47 preach with passion,
00:36:49 preach with power to move mountains,
00:36:52 preach with praise that the rocks rent,
00:36:56 preach with purity,
00:36:58 preach past, present and projection,
00:37:02 preach perfection,
00:37:04 preach and be a soldier of the cross
00:37:08 defending the gospel, the truth,
00:37:11 the faith, the church, the ministry
00:37:14 and most of all, protect the pulpit.
00:37:17 If you agree, put your hands together.
00:37:19 (audience cheering)
00:37:23 I'm coming, I'm coming.
00:37:25 And so Jericho had no preacher.
00:37:29 So Joshua, if you'll study the story of Joshua,
00:37:33 Joshua spoke publicly once
00:37:36 and that's in Numbers 13 and 14
00:37:40 when he rent his clothes with Caleb
00:37:43 and said, "Let us go in at once.
00:37:46 "We are able to take the land."
00:37:48 That's the only time he spoke publicly.
00:37:51 The Bible calls him Moses' servant
00:37:55 and Moses' minister.
00:37:57 And the only exchange he had with words
00:38:00 was with Moses.
00:38:02 But now Joshua, you are going to have to speak publicly
00:38:07 and you are going to have to declare
00:38:11 what God has instructed you.
00:38:14 And so look what God is going to do for Joshua.
00:38:18 Joshua, you are going to collide
00:38:22 on this 500th jubilee anniversary
00:38:26 with precious promises made to Abraham,
00:38:29 Isaac, Jacob and the fathers.
00:38:32 So you just have to show up.
00:38:34 Joshua, your spiritual dimension
00:38:38 of prophecies from Joseph are backing you up.
00:38:42 Don't leave my bones in Egypt
00:38:45 because bones is structure.
00:38:48 I have structured an economy in Egypt.
00:38:52 I need you to bring my bones to structure
00:38:56 the economy in the land of promise.
00:38:59 Don't leave the structure in Egypt.
00:39:02 Let's structure in the promised land.
00:39:05 Joshua, number four, preached to Jericho
00:39:09 that the powers that you have
00:39:12 were invested in you by the laying on of hands of Moses
00:39:16 where all that was in Moses was given to you.
00:39:21 And the words of encouragement were transmitted to you.
00:39:26 Joshua, I'm speaking to you.
00:39:29 Almighty God said in Joshua 1 verse five,
00:39:34 "There shall not any man be able to stand before you
00:39:39 all the days of your life."
00:39:42 Shout, that's me.
00:39:43 Shout, that's me.
00:39:46 Let me read it again.
00:39:48 There shall not be any man be able to stand before you
00:39:52 all the days of your life.
00:39:54 As I was with Moses,
00:39:59 so I will not fail to be for you.
00:40:04 I will not forsake you.
00:40:07 Shout three times, that's me.
00:40:14 Joshua, chapter number three and verse seven,
00:40:17 the Lord said to Joshua,
00:40:19 "This day, I will begin to magnify you
00:40:24 in the sight of the people Israel."
00:40:26 Shout twice, that's me.
00:40:29 >> Audience: That's me, that's me.
00:40:31 >> They may know that as I was with Moses,
00:40:36 I will sure enough be with you.
00:40:41 Shout five times, that's me.
00:40:44 >> Audience: That's me, that's me, that's me.
00:40:48 >> Now watch this.
00:40:52 In Exodus chapter number three and verse five,
00:40:57 Moses was approached by God,
00:41:00 Dr. Jaz from a burning fiery bush.
00:41:03 And the Lord said to him, put it up,
00:41:05 Moses in Exodus three verse five,
00:41:08 "Don't come any closer.
00:41:11 Put off your shoes from off your feet
00:41:16 because the place you are standing on is holy ground."
00:41:21 So Moses had to take off his shoes,
00:41:25 plural, off his feet too.
00:41:29 But look what the scripture says of Joshua.
00:41:33 It appears that Joshua had one foot.
00:41:37 Joshua chapter one and verse three,
00:41:41 "Every place that you put the sole of your foot
00:41:46 shall tread upon, I have given it to you."
00:41:52 Joshua chapter number five and verse 15,
00:41:57 he met the captain of the Lord of hosts
00:42:01 and he said to Joshua,
00:42:03 "Loose your shoe from off your foot."
00:42:08 In other words, you are a one footed man
00:42:15 in a two foot world.
00:42:18 I'm going to prove to all this nation
00:42:22 that a one footed man can do better
00:42:26 than a two footed man.
00:42:30 I didn't say I read the scripture for you.
00:42:34 Joshua, you might be hopping along,
00:42:37 but you got a promise and you got a prophecy.
00:42:42 You lost your leg in a battle
00:42:45 to defend your father Moses.
00:42:48 But as I was with Moses,
00:42:52 you and your one shoe,
00:42:54 you and your one foot,
00:42:56 here I come wounded and bleeding.
00:43:00 Jericho, it's going to take more than your walls
00:43:04 to discourage me.
00:43:05 I almost bled to death losing my foot.
00:43:09 Do you know how hard it's been
00:43:13 to lead these people with one foot and one shoe
00:43:18 and people talking about a lame king
00:43:21 trying to get something done.
00:43:23 Shout, the devil is a liar.
00:43:26 I know you have an impediment.
00:43:29 I know there's an amputation.
00:43:31 I know there's hurt in your life,
00:43:33 but as God was with Joshua,
00:43:37 he's going to be with you.
00:43:40 Jericho, don't despise me.
00:43:43 Here I come with one toe, no ear.
00:43:47 Lost my mind, broken home, broken life.
00:43:51 I'm coming for the promise of God.
00:43:54 My foot won't preach for me.
00:43:57 (audience cheering)
00:44:00 If you have two hands, clap them.
00:44:02 (audience cheering)
00:44:05 Tell somebody every now and then
00:44:13 you have to remind yourself.
00:44:15 Come on y'all, you all are so weak.
00:44:18 Say, every now and then you have to remind yourself.
00:44:24 When you look at that one shoe and say,
00:44:26 baby, you all we've got,
00:44:28 but there's a mountain to possess.
00:44:31 One of the reasons,
00:44:35 one of the reasons that David took the head of Goliath,
00:44:40 Dr. John, was not just to show the camp,
00:44:45 I have Goliath's head.
00:44:48 That was not the only reason.
00:44:50 The reason he wanted Goliath's head,
00:44:53 he wanted to put his hand in that skull
00:44:57 and take out that stone and say,
00:45:00 this is the stone of my salvation.
00:45:05 This rock is the rock of my salvation.
00:45:10 And you boys want to stone me at zig lag?
00:45:15 And you've never thrown a stone in your life?
00:45:19 I don't need a stone to prove myself.
00:45:22 I'll put an ephod because I can find stones,
00:45:27 but God don't let me lose your spirit.
00:45:31 Let me see if I still have your spirit.
00:45:35 I have a stone.
00:45:37 I'm a giant killer, but I'm stronger.
00:45:41 There's some things that you must never forget.
00:45:45 Some things that you must always remember.
00:45:51 Ask your neighbor, where's your stone?
00:45:53 Where's your first testimony?
00:45:55 Where's your first victory?
00:45:57 Where's your first 40 watt amp?
00:46:00 Where's your first 40 watt bulb?
00:46:02 Where's your broken trousers?
00:46:05 Where's your torn shirt?
00:46:07 Where's that storefront building?
00:46:09 Where's that grits and colored greens
00:46:13 and all that stuff y'all used to eat
00:46:15 when you had absolutely nothing?
00:46:17 It's still there.
00:46:19 I won't forget it because that same God
00:46:22 who brought me out of there is taking me to Jericho.
00:46:27 And Jericho, I'm coming with more determination
00:46:32 than I've ever had.
00:46:34 Clap your hands, 500 women.
00:46:37 (audience cheering)
00:46:40 - Thank you.
00:46:41 - I gotta close.
00:46:51 I gotta close with this.
00:46:54 And so Joshua takes Jericho and settles Israel,
00:46:59 but doesn't ever get to preach in Jericho.
00:47:05 But down the line, as the years roll by,
00:47:10 there are two people that are similar
00:47:14 to Rahab and to Bartimaeus.
00:47:17 Here comes Yeshua, the Joshua of our day.
00:47:22 Joshua had to take Jericho to possess his promise.
00:47:28 Jesus, you cannot possess your promise
00:47:32 until you pass through Jericho.
00:47:35 Your two tests in Jericho are Bartimaeus,
00:47:39 who is a Rahab who couldn't see a Messiah in her.
00:47:44 And your second test is a Zacchaeus
00:47:49 who has built walls around himself
00:47:52 by texting the people unreasonably.
00:47:55 But here comes Jesus.
00:47:58 Turn to your neighbor and say, "Here comes Jesus."
00:48:02 I said, "Here comes Jesus."
00:48:05 Sisters and brothers, you have to learn how to preach.
00:48:10 God preached to Cain.
00:48:15 I always wondered why God spoke to Cain first
00:48:20 and why he never spoke to Adam.
00:48:25 Why did God speak to Cain and not to Abel?
00:48:31 I got that answer when I became a grandfather
00:48:36 because Cain is God's oldest grandson.
00:48:41 And grandparents have a special affinity
00:48:45 for their grandkids more than their own children.
00:48:50 And God came to his grandson and said,
00:48:54 "My boy, you don't have to do things this way.
00:48:59 If you would do the right thing,
00:49:03 you will be accepted and doors will open to you."
00:49:08 God preached to Cain.
00:49:13 He preached to Shem.
00:49:16 He preached to Noah.
00:49:18 God preached to Abraham.
00:49:22 He preached to Isaac.
00:49:25 He preached to Jacob.
00:49:27 He even preached to Sodom and Gomorrah.
00:49:32 On his way to preaching to Sodom and Gomorrah,
00:49:36 he preached to himself and said,
00:49:40 "Can I hide anything good from Abraham?"
00:49:45 Seeing that he is going to be a great man
00:49:51 that will teach his children.
00:49:53 Because if you have to preach to others,
00:49:56 you have to preach to yourself first.
00:50:00 And so God preached to himself.
00:50:03 God preached to Jacob at Luz
00:50:07 and then wrestled with him again at Bethel.
00:50:11 God preached to Pharaoh
00:50:14 and gave him an international vision.
00:50:17 God preached to Joseph.
00:50:20 God preached to Moses
00:50:23 and gave him a plan that has shaped civilization.
00:50:28 We are who we are
00:50:32 because God preached to Moses
00:50:35 and dared him to put it in stone.
00:50:38 And when God puts something in stone,
00:50:42 no man can obliterate that.
00:50:46 God preached to Moses in the wilderness.
00:50:51 But not one time did God preach to Joshua
00:50:56 while Moses was alive.
00:50:59 But Dr. Darius, when Moses died,
00:51:03 God said, "Now it's my time to preach to Joshua."
00:51:08 Joshua, you've been a servant for 40 years.
00:51:18 I'm going to speak to you. Face
00:51:28 I've been waiting to hear from
00:51:35 you. Get ready. Get ready. Get
00:51:40 ready. Get ready. Get ready.
00:51:46 Get ready. Get ready. Get ready.
00:51:48 You're about to hear from god.
00:51:52 He's going to slip into your
00:51:55 bedroom. Slip into your car.
00:51:57 He's going to jump into your
00:52:00 prayer room. He's going to hit
00:52:02 you. There's a strategy for
00:52:07 Cincinnati. There's a strategy
00:52:10 for Chicago. Phoenix, get ready
00:52:13 for a strategy. LA is waiting
00:52:17 for you. But all you need is a
00:52:23 word from the lord. Jericho had
00:52:28 no preacher but the stones had
00:52:31 to preach. The treasure had to
00:52:35 preach when they can stole it.
00:52:40 Oh yes. Get ready for god to
00:52:44 preach to you. I said god
00:52:48 preach to Elijah and he preached
00:52:52 to Elijah. He preached to David
00:52:55 and Samuel. He preached to
00:52:58 Isaac. He preached to smoke. He
00:53:03 showed Ezekiel when men fight,
00:53:07 they leave flesh and dry bones
00:53:11 but I take dry bones and make an
00:53:16 army. God's about to take your
00:53:19 dry life. Your dry bones, your
00:53:23 dry life, your army. It's about
00:53:28 to preach to you. If you have
00:53:31 two hands, give god some praise.
00:53:36 I'm nearly there. I'm nearly
00:53:48 there. I'm nearly there. Jericho
00:53:52 is waiting for you. I know you
00:53:57 shut up. I know you're close
00:54:00 tight because you're afraid of
00:54:03 what god has placed on our
00:54:06 lives but you're shutting up is
00:54:10 only for a season. As the
00:54:14 tombstone was rolled away, watch
00:54:17 when you get back. Stepping
00:54:20 back, step away. As bishop said,
00:54:24 walls are vanishing. Enemies are
00:54:27 allies. Haters will be
00:54:30 supporters. Those that talked
00:54:33 about you will testify of your
00:54:37 good works. Sheba is coming from
00:54:40 a strange land. Heron is
00:54:43 bringing gifts for your temple.
00:54:46 Can I preach like I feel it?
00:54:49 I'm bringing you gentle gifts.
00:54:52 Shepherds are coming to examine
00:54:55 your product. Boys are bringing
00:54:58 loaves. Lazarus will come from
00:55:01 the tomb. A woman will come out
00:55:04 of a house. Stop there for 12
00:55:07 years. Hiding away.
00:55:10 Representing twelve tribes. But
00:55:13 Jesus is going to Jairus' house
00:55:16 to heal the girls that are
00:55:19 dying and not together. He's
00:55:22 going to heal the old woman to
00:55:26 fix the law and the prophets
00:55:29 before we can heal the girl to
00:55:32 fix the apostles that are
00:55:34 coming. Both are needed on the
00:55:37 same day. Jericho, get ready.
00:55:42 The preacher is in the house.
00:55:45 Out of season and out of season.
00:55:49 I feel a preacher in the house.
00:55:53 I feel a preacher in your
00:55:56 spirit. So, preach to your
00:55:59 house. Preach to your cities.
00:56:02 Preach to your children. Preach
00:56:05 to the king. Preach to the men
00:56:08 of valor. Preach to your
00:56:11 country. Preach to your future.
00:56:15 Preach to Afghanistan. Preach
00:56:18 to Turkey. I preach to Somalia.
00:56:22 I say they must be order in the
00:56:26 Ukraine. Devil, shut up. Get
00:56:30 out of our way. You have messed
00:56:33 up America. It's our turn now.
00:56:37 We're coming down. We're moving
00:56:41 in. Our promise is full. And
00:56:45 Azusa anointing is coming. And
00:56:50 it's starting here. It's
00:56:54 somewhere with a high five and
00:56:56 say preach. Preach in season.
00:57:01 Preach out of season. Clap your
00:57:05 hands.
00:57:07 >> No disrespect, bishop. I'm
00:57:29 sorry. Clap your hands while I
00:57:33 say it. And so, you've been
00:57:39 sitting in Jericho. Blind from
00:57:43 your birth. But you didn't know
00:57:47 that from the first Jericho, God
00:57:50 had your name on his son's
00:57:53 schedule. That he needs to pass
00:57:56 through your city. Today, you
00:58:00 are going to shake off what you
00:58:04 couldn't see. Many of you
00:58:06 looking for a building. Looking
00:58:09 for an edifice. Looking for
00:58:12 promotion. You're blind but it's
00:58:15 there every day. Jesus is
00:58:18 coming to preach in your
00:58:21 Jericho. And ask you what do you
00:58:24 want? Don't ask him to be a
00:58:27 doctor. Ask him for a jet. Ask
00:58:31 him for what you need to see.
00:58:34 Not just with your eyes. Let me
00:58:37 see my future. Let me see my
00:58:41 destiny. Give me a glimpse of
00:58:44 my vision. Show me what I've
00:58:48 missed out on. So I can catch up.
00:58:52 Show me the children that I
00:58:55 love. So I can see if they look
00:58:58 like me. I want to impart what I
00:59:01 have in me. I may not have a
00:59:05 degree. But I've got street
00:59:08 wise. I hear gossip on the
00:59:11 streets. I hear street talk. I'm
00:59:14 a street hustler. I can teach
00:59:17 them how to be. Because of
00:59:20 neglect. And hurt and pain. But
00:59:23 I'm on that same journey. From a
00:59:27 beggar to a rich man. Who's up a
00:59:31 tree. His corporate ladder was
00:59:35 so high. That he looked down on
00:59:38 everybody. But Zacchaeus I'm
00:59:41 coming to your house. In
00:59:44 Jericho. Because there was no
00:59:48 preacher in Jericho. But it's a
00:59:51 preacher now. The preacher has
00:59:54 arrived. Jesus is the preacher
00:59:58 for Jericho. Jesus is the
01:00:02 preacher for the blind. Jesus is
01:00:06 the preacher for the lame.
01:00:09 Jesus is the preacher for the
01:00:12 21st century church. For
01:00:15 Dallas. For Houston. For Kiev.
01:00:19 For Ferrari. For Johannesburg.
01:00:23 Shout your city three times.
01:00:26 And shout Jesus is the
01:00:28 preacher. Jesus forgive us for
01:00:33 keeping you outside. We repent
01:00:37 as the Laodicean church age.
01:00:40 Where you're knocking on the
01:00:42 door. And trying to come in.
01:00:45 Every Sunday we open our doors.
01:00:49 And say come in Lord Jesus.
01:00:52 Preach. Preach Jesus. Give me
01:00:57 Rayma. I was at the children's
01:01:01 school. And I heard the teacher
01:01:04 say to the children. Repeat
01:01:07 after me. Every Sunday when
01:01:11 you're standing behind the
01:01:13 door. If you are sincere. You
01:01:17 hear Jesus say. Repeat after
01:01:21 me.
01:01:24 So preach to the walls. Preach
01:01:32 to the treasure. Preach to
01:01:35 Rahab. Preach to her house.
01:01:38 Preach to the Messiah in her.
01:01:40 Preach to the soldiers. Preach
01:01:42 to the promises. Preach to
01:01:45 stubbornness. Preach to the
01:01:47 devils. Preach to your future.
01:01:50 Preach to everything that has
01:01:52 breath. Preach to the angels.
01:01:55 Preach to the covenants. Preach
01:01:57 to the deacons and elders.
01:01:59 Preach to the city council.
01:02:01 Preach to the politicians.
01:02:03 Speak to the twenty-four
01:02:05 elections. And tell the devil
01:02:08 this country's coming back to
01:02:10 me. Rising up. There were no
01:02:14 preachers in Jericho. But I've
01:02:17 made up my mind. I'm in Jericho
01:02:20 now. And I might as well open
01:02:24 my mouth and preach. Give
01:02:27 someone a high five. Say preach
01:02:29 man. Preach in Jericho. Preach.
01:02:34 Preach with your one foot.
01:02:36 Preach. Preach with Moses
01:02:39 preaching wisdom. Preach.
01:02:42 Preach with God's promise.
01:02:44 Preach. Preach with the walls
01:02:47 falling down. Preach with the
01:02:50 world ahead of you. Preach so
01:02:53 Caleb can get his mountain.
01:02:55 Preach so you can say as for me
01:02:59 and my house. We shall serve
01:03:02 the Lord. I said preach until
01:03:06 the end of the day. Preach.
01:03:12 Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
01:03:18 Yes, yes. I said yes Lord.
01:03:24 Preach as long as you have
01:03:27 breath. Preach as long as you
01:03:30 have energy. Preach as long as
01:03:33 you've got anointing. Preach as
01:03:35 long as you've got determination.
01:03:38 Preach. Preach with praise.
01:03:43 Preach with thanksgiving. Preach
01:03:47 with honor. Preach with dignity.
01:03:53 Yeah.
01:03:56 Yeah.
01:03:59 I said yeah.
