00:00 Hey guys, it's Kim and today's video is going to be a tutorial for a cute and easy and quick
00:09 summer makeup routine that you can do in like 5 minutes at home before going out and having
00:15 fun during the day in the summer.
00:18 Really lightweight because no one wants goopy, gross, thick makeup in the summer.
00:23 It just feels disgusting.
00:25 So, how to do this look.
00:36 First I'm using a BB cream by NYX.
00:40 It's called Perfection in a Tube in the color 02 Natural.
00:46 So take a beauty blender or a brush or whatever you use to apply your makeup and squeeze a
00:53 little drop onto the back of your hand.
00:55 Everyone has their own techniques for foundation so just do you.
01:00 Apply however you need.
01:01 So I am actually wearing some of the BB cream and under eye concealer in this already just
01:10 because I had started filming it without any makeup on first and turns out my camera turned
01:18 off and did not actually record any of it and I didn't feel like re-washing my whole
01:23 face.
01:24 So if you are anything like me and you definitely do not get as much sleep as you should be,
01:29 you will have very bad dark under eye circles that are not pretty.
01:33 So cover that up.
01:36 I am using the Billie Illuminating Face Powder.
01:40 Next I'm going to set my face makeup with a bit of the CoverGirl Loose Powder in Translucent.
01:48 So grab a clean brush.
01:49 Make sure all your brushes are clean before using.
01:53 Grab a bit and tap off the excess powder and just apply it everywhere on your face.
02:07 And I apologize for all the weird makeup faces I'm making.
02:11 Obviously I can't really see my faces when I'm filming doing makeup but you guys are
02:16 blessed with seeing all the beautiful variations of expressions I make while doing my makeup.
02:23 Everyone has makeup faces.
02:24 It's just a part of life.
02:26 Now that that is all done, we are going to move on to blush and I am using Fit Me by
02:34 Maybelline in the color Deep Rose.
02:37 So I'm just taking my big face powder brush again and putting it all along the apples
02:45 of my cheeks and just kind of dragging it upwards.
02:53 Next we are moving on to bronzer and I am using the Annabelle Biggie Bronzer and it's
03:00 the, it's called Zebra.
03:03 That's all it's called.
03:04 I think that's what the color's called.
03:07 It's the Zebra palette.
03:08 Blow off the excess powder and just apply to the inner hollows right under your cheek
03:13 bones.
03:14 It's really easy to find if you make a little fish face.
03:24 Then I take my big face powder brush again, dip it in a bit of the CoverGirl powder that
03:32 I use to set my makeup just to blend that all out so there are no too harsh lines because
03:38 you want it to be really natural looking and blended.
03:41 Next we are going to deal with my eyebrows.
03:45 So I'm just going to take a little brush to brush through my eyebrows and I'm using a
03:51 small little angled brush for my eyebrows as well as a brown Maybelline eyeshadow palette
03:58 and the way I do my eyebrows, everyone has a different technique.
04:01 I just take the little brush and start from the bottom inner corner of my eyebrow and
04:06 just brush up all the way down.
04:09 Just fill in everywhere because my eyebrows are fairly light and then I work on the arch.
04:14 My eyebrows are not that arched.
04:16 Mine are fairly straight so just do what you need to to get your eyebrows on fleek.
04:20 Always remember, if they don't look identical, that's okay.
04:25 You will survive.
04:27 Eyebrows need to be treated as sisters and not twins.
04:37 I prefer using eyeshadow for my eyebrows.
04:39 I feel it works best for me and there's such a bigger range of colors to make sure you
04:44 really match what you want your eyebrows to look like.
04:55 So next I'm just going to take a q-tip and clean up the edges.
04:59 Make sure they're nice and smooth.
05:08 Brush through them again.
05:09 Make sure there's no big clumps.
05:14 And we're going to move on to eyeshadow now.
05:16 So I'm using the Golden Brown Smoky eyeshadow palette by The Body Shop.
05:24 I'm going to take my big eyeshadow brush, dip it in the very light color and just put
05:29 that underneath my eyebrow bone to highlight that.
05:36 I'm also going to put it all over my eyelid.
05:51 Next I'm taking a smaller rounded brush and I'm going to dip it in the third color of
05:56 the palette.
05:57 So it's the darker gold color.
06:00 And I'm just going to drag that around the outsides of my eyelids and into the inner
06:05 crease.
06:10 Don't worry about it looking messy.
06:13 I know it's going to look really harsh and weird in the process, but once it's done and
06:21 all smudged out, it will look great.
06:23 So as you can tell, the lines are super harsh.
06:26 And to smudge your eyeshadow, you can use a brush.
06:30 I find what works best for me is just using my fingertips.
06:33 And then we are going to take that angled brush again into the dark color.
06:39 And we are going to put that along the lash line to serve as a sort of soft eyeliner so
06:47 it doesn't look as harsh.
06:53 And make sure you try and get it fairly straight and even.
06:59 And then I'm taking that same color and just putting a little bit on the bottom lash line
07:05 just to kind of tie it all in.
07:14 Yay!
07:15 Next, we are moving on to mascara.
07:19 And I am using the NYC Big Bold Curl Mascara in the color Blackest Black.
07:30 And this mascara, by the way, is super cheap for those of you who are on a budget.
07:35 It's like $8 max Canadian, so even cheaper in the States.
07:41 And it works really well.
07:42 I love it.
07:48 I don't really have a technique for mascara.
07:51 I mean, everyone does it differently.
07:53 Just kind of do what you got to do.
07:56 Some days your eyelashes will cooperate.
07:58 Other days they will not.
08:00 So just kind of drag that stuff all along until you get it even and non-clumpy and how
08:05 you want it to look.
08:07 I like to also, for mascara, just kind of the outer lashes, push them outwards a bit.
08:13 And the inner ones, push them towards the inner corner just so you have a nice arch
08:17 of eyelashes rather than having them all be pushed upwards.
08:22 And then don't forget to do your bottom lashes as well.
08:25 I know not everyone does it, but in my opinion, it looks so much better when you do the bottom
08:31 lashes.
08:32 So just try it out.
08:34 See how it feels.
08:35 And then do the same on the other eye.
08:37 And once again, just like your eyebrows, your eyelashes will not look identical.
08:42 So don't worry too much about getting them perfectly the same.
08:47 And now, because I am super messy, I got mascara all over the top of my lid.
08:53 Take a dry q-tip and brush it along where you got mascara.
08:58 It'll come off super easy.
09:00 Make sure it's dry though or else it'll ruin all your eyeshadow.
09:03 And now we're doing lips.
09:05 Kisses.
09:06 Okay, so I'm using the L'Oreal Collection Privé by Frida or Frida.
09:14 I don't really know how you say her name.
09:16 And it is in the color Frida's Nude.
09:19 It's a really cute, I don't know what to describe it as.
09:22 It's some sort of purple, but I don't know what type of purple.
09:26 But it's really almost translucent.
09:28 Just really gives a nice tint to your lips.
09:34 That's it for this video.
09:47 I hope you enjoyed it.
09:48 If you did, give it a big thumbs up and make sure to subscribe to me.
09:52 Thank you so much for watching.
09:53 I hope you liked it.
09:55 Bye!
