00:26 Hi guys, good morning. So today I'm doing a homecoming tutorial. I want to do something
00:33 that's like gold and sparkly and glittery and black. I want to do a really smoky eye.
00:40 I did one that was purple and I feel like I've been on the purple trend. I got these
00:45 Makeup Forever palettes. They're not palettes but they're single eye shadows that you can
00:49 put in a palette that I'm going to be doing a review on soon. And I got all these gorgeous
00:54 purple shades like this eggplant, this is big, even this one just a warm tone brown
01:00 that I really love. But I feel like I need to do something more, what I haven't been
01:07 doing. Something a little cooler, not as warm tone, especially for those people who are
01:11 like I'm not wanting a warm tone kind of makeup look for homecoming. So first I'm going to
01:16 be taking Soft Ochre from MAC and I'm just going to be applying this all over my lid.
01:21 It's a really nice yellow toned base for your eyes and it just keeps all your shadows staying
01:28 very non-creasing, very pretty all throughout the night. So you can apply this with your
01:33 finger but I really like to use a brush because I think it applies a lot better and is a lot
01:38 easier, especially if you have like acrylic nails at all like I do have right now. It's
01:42 really hard to apply with your finger. You don't need a lot and you want to take it from
01:50 the middle of your eye all the way up to your brow bone. Also if you do not have the Jumbo
01:57 pencils which are really good or a MAC paintball, you can also use a concealer or some of your
02:18 foundation. Just make sure it's a light coat and if you can take a damp sponge to damp
02:24 that over that will help with any of the excess oils so it doesn't crease anymore. So for
02:28 this eye look you're going to need a transition color. You can take a bronzer shade. I could
02:34 use like the Sunny Bronzer, that would be good. You could use the Hoola Bronzer shade.
02:39 I'm going to use I think the Naked color from the Naked 1 palette in Naked right here so
02:46 you can see that hopefully. I'm just going to use that and run that through my crease
02:51 once I can find my brush. Found it! I'm putting it a little more on the bone kind of area.
02:57 It's not your brow bone, it's like the bone right under that. I don't know what it's called.
03:02 So it's slightly above your crease but for me because my eyes look like they're creased
03:07 but really they're just kind of pushed back there, this is going to make them a little
03:12 bit bigger to have some more space to work with, which who doesn't love more space on
03:16 their eye? And just a little nicer looking all together. So after that step, I'm taking
03:23 Buck from that color. You could also take another bronzer that you have if it's darker
03:41 or a face powder or anything like that that's just a little darker than your skin tone and
03:46 going to be putting that in the same spot. Now you might be thinking that that's kind
03:52 of like wasteful to be basically putting two colors in the same spot but that layering
03:58 is what's going to make your eye look really amazing. Just like clothes where you've layered
04:03 jewelry or scarves or necklaces or sweaters over tank tops, like it's the same effect
04:09 with your eyes, makeup, clothes, painting, any kind of creativeness. Just blend these
04:16 out. I really do like these Urban Decay eyeshadows. They're very nice and very pigmented. And
04:26 now I'm going to be taking one of MAC's new colors from their, I'm not sure what collection
04:37 it was, I don't know, I'll link it down below, but it's limited edition and it's this really
04:41 pretty green, like army green. It reminded me of Preppy from Makeup Geek which I've been
04:47 wanting to get but I saw this so I thought I'll try it out. And I'm just going to be
04:51 dipping that with the same MAC 217 brush and running this through my crease. This is just
05:04 going to kind of, I think, smoke things out a bit and it kind of makes the other colors
05:11 look a little cooler which I like because I'm all about the warmth. Blend, blend, blend,
05:18 blend, blend. I'm going to use a little more on the outside and a little more on the outside.
05:32 I'm just going to be taking this color from Makeup Forever. I don't know if you can see
05:36 it, it's right there. It's a black color. It's so black and pretty. I want to do a review
05:42 on that. I have so many reviews I need to do. I'm just going to be doing this on the
05:45 outer V of my eye. If you want this really cut crease, use cut crease. If you want this
05:52 really stand out, I would use tape because that's really going to help or concealer at
05:57 the end. So this we're moving more into my crease area. I'm just moving it back and forth
06:04 like that. All these Makeup Forever eyeshadows just blend so beautifully. They're so pigmented.
06:11 Their color never runs out. You just can keep blending and blending and I'm obsessed with
06:24 it. So I want to make this kind of more straight than really curved so it gives my eyes a different
06:31 shape. With a blending brush, I'm just going to blend that all out. I'm going to blend
06:38 that all out. I also think a really big trick about makeup is it normally does not look
06:45 good until it's done. That's what you have to be patient about because you'll be looking
07:07 at those and you'll think, "Oh, that looks atrocious." And then you finish it and you're
07:12 like, "That's what I want." Okay, now I'm going to be dipping into some of my darker
07:18 colors in the Naked palette. I really like this because it has some great smoky colors.
07:23 I'm taking the color Dark Horse and going to be edging out this crease more and the
07:29 outer V some because this will be a little lighter than just straight up black and some
07:34 shimmer really will look pretty on this. Okay, so once you have that done, I'm going to take
07:41 a product that I have done a tutorial on but I wanted to do another look at this because
07:55 it's just so pretty. It is this Vintage Black Gold Foil from Stila. It is amazing. I'm going
08:03 to take this color, Green Taked Black or Green Mac Color and put this as a base. I'm just
08:10 going to be taking any kind of flat brush and packing this on my eye. I'm going to be
08:19 using my finger. This honestly works so much better if you use your finger and now kind
08:48 of outlining it. This is where a small pencil brush really comes in nicely or you can use
08:55 whatever you have. I really like something smaller. Now I'm going to run this color through
09:11 the crease again just blending all these out. I'm going to be taking the Buxom Black Liner.
09:18 I've not used it yet. I just got it in a sample kit 500 point gift so I'll let you know what
09:33 I think about it once I put it on. For this, I'm just going to be tiling the upper portion
09:39 of my eyes. Then I'm just going to be tiling the bottom because I just think that always
10:04 looks really pretty for a really formal event. On the bottom lash line, this is really where
10:10 you can do a color or you can keep it gold, you can keep it black and smoky, brown and
10:16 orange. You can do whatever. I'm taking Half Baked from the Naked palette and I'm just
10:21 going to be putting that on the bottom lash line and smoking that out. Once I put that
10:34 color on, I'm going to be taking Creep and applying that to the outer corner and working
10:41 my way in and flicking it out so it's more like an all connected wing. There is the gel
10:59 liner. You can apply some false eyelashes which are just really going to knock this
11:04 look out of the park. I'm going to be applying my Mally's Mascara because I love this one
11:09 so much. I use it about every day and it just gives you a nice volume. I'm going to be applying
11:16 my contour lip pencil. I'm going to be taking two Byte Beauty products. I love these products
11:23 so much. I'm taking my new contour lip pencil and it is in the shade Cashew. It's just a
11:41 really pretty pencil lip liner. It's really good because the slam helps you contour out
11:48 your lips and it's just really nice and different. I really love it. I'm going to be applying
11:55 my contour lip pencil. I like to use this color from NYX. It is in nude beige and it's
12:02 just a really pretty dark nude color. It's kind of like Strip Down from MAC. I'm just
12:23 going to contour out the sides of my mouth. This is just going to make it smaller so it
12:30 looks like you're so pouty. From Byte Beauty I'm taking my favorite lipstick and Rotsina
12:49 is just the perfect nude. If you are wanting a gloss, I love these Maybelline glosses.
12:56 This is in 060 Nude Illusion and it's just a really pretty nude. I'll apply that to show
13:15 you what it looks like. It kind of looks like a weird applicator but once you get used to
13:21 it it's really pretty. It's just a really pretty nude lip. It's really pretty eye makeup.
13:28 It's really smoky and glittery. It really makes your eyes pop. I love this look. Obviously
13:38 I probably would not do it with this hair but this is my go to hairstyle because my
13:43 hair is so long and I just think little ends are so cute and this is so crazy so I just
13:48 always do that. If it annoys you guys, I'm sorry. I will try to do more with my hair
13:53 but when I'm doing my makeup I just like to have it up on my face and it looks weird.
13:58 This is the look and I hope you like it and I hope you all have an amazing homecoming
14:03 whether you have a date or not. It doesn't matter. Homecoming is about the girls, it's
14:07 about you, it's about just getting ready, having fun, making a fun experience with friends
14:13 and memories and I hope you guys have a wonderful time. Let me know if you like this tutorial
14:18 and which ones you want to see next and I mentioned like a thousand reviews I want to
14:23 do so if you're like, "Oh my gosh, do that one!" leave a comment. Bye guys!
14:30 I don't know if you guys can see because I just changed my lighting but if you can, I
14:40 just took this Morphe blue eyeshadow and popped this under my eyes and it is so pretty. Oh
14:47 my gosh, so pretty. So if you want like a really like Cinderella blue under this eye
14:52 look, it's like, it's good. It's really cool. Take some of that other contrast blue and
14:59 pop it on the outside. So pretty. Let me move my mirror so you can see. I don't know if
15:07 you guys can see that but that is so pretty, that blue under there. So all I used was I
15:12 took this Sigma eye shading E55 brush and I dipped it in the color, I'm not sure, I'll
15:18 link it down below, but it's this really pretty blue color from Morphe and then I took this
15:23 contrast color, it's not contrast, it reminds me of contrast from MAC but I think it's Neptune
15:28 from NYX and those two colors together are so pretty. Holy guacamole under this eye look.
15:35 If you want color, that's my recommendation. I had a lot of color. It's like a gold black
15:42 with some greeny blues.
15:44 Okay, I'll be done filming for today.
15:55 Well...
15:57 Okay, so right now I'm just going to be taking the Urban Decay primer potion and this is
16:17 just their normal one. If you are doing any type of really intense eye look, I'd probably
16:23 recommend more of a NYX jumbo pencil in milk or the soft ochre paint pot. This is what
16:30 I have out today so I'm going to use it but definitely this is something I like to use
16:35 for a more natural day. So why would I use that? That's dumb.
16:38 That's dumb.
