00:00 Hey, this is Moody's sister Whitney. I'm excited to be with you guys this week. It is teen
00:06 week on the blog and I once was a teen. Therefore, I am an expert. So, I'm really excited to
00:15 share with you just some quick and easy must tips and must haves for teens. If you have
00:23 a teenager in the house, bless you. You need a lot of help. So, I am an expert. So, they
00:31 can come to me because they won't listen to you. I'm going to tell you what you should
00:37 have if you are a teenager or what you should get your teen if they really just don't have
00:45 a clue what's going on. A lot of teens think they know everything. So, yours probably does
00:52 too. But you can try and help guide them or show them just kind of the basics of what
01:00 they need. We don't want to go like full blown like beauty queen on a regular basis. So,
01:08 trying to just limit their items really, but give them the flexibility to kind of play
01:13 around and experiment with color in a normal looking way. So, the first thing I would recommend
01:21 for teens is going to be some sort of concealer. You usually have blemishes, zits, whatever,
01:28 discoloration. In my last video, I recommended Golden Sand Cream Foundation. It's amazing.
01:36 You'll want this for concealing underneath the eyes and just evening out skin tone and
01:42 zits or whatever else you got going on. So, Golden Sand Cream Foundation must have concealer.
01:48 I wouldn't go with anything other than spot kind of concealing using the cream foundation.
01:56 And then I would just use a mineral foundation, just really light coverage and it will help
02:01 absorb the oil. Powder foundation does a great job at that. So, it'll help kind of keep the
02:06 shine down that teens typically get. Mineral powder foundation. If you need help figuring
02:13 out which shade you are, feel free to email us at moodysisters@gmail.com. I don't even
02:20 need a full face photo of your teen, just clear skin, like no makeup on, and kind of
02:28 face and neck even, so I can kind of really tell what their shade is and I can let you
02:34 know what I would recommend for them. Besides that, you don't need a lot of color as a teen.
02:42 I wouldn't necessarily recommend an eyeliner, but one of the fun things you can do when
02:49 you're young and can wear any color and just have fun with it is actually using kind of
02:57 a stiff brush, I'm all fuzzy, sorry, a stiff brush like that to actually play around with
03:07 mineral colors for eyeliner. You can use an eyeliner pencil, but they're kind of hard
03:13 to sometimes get a nice smooth line, especially if you don't really have any practice. And
03:20 so I really like just taking a stiff brush like this and taking a color, this is Majestic,
03:28 very purple kind of plum, and I'll just take stuff that's kind of in the cap and you get
03:36 it on there. You can even wet your brush for an even more defined line. And what you're
03:40 gonna do is just brush it along the lashes, go all the way in, I can't see what I'm doing
03:48 very well, but go all the way in like so, and then you can take, mine got a little crazy,
03:55 you can even take a bigger fluffy brush and just blend it out like so. And it kind of
04:06 lines your lashes that way, and it just gives you that little pop. And that's really fun
04:11 and easy. So stiff little brush, this is our multi-tool brush, and I use purple Majestic,
04:18 you can use whatever color you want though, and it just gives them that kind of flexibility
04:21 and it's not this harsh, wiggly line sometimes, but just really soft lining of the eyes. And
04:30 then if they want more color, but sometimes you really don't need that, I use kind of
04:37 the bigger fluffy brush, and this is Dreamy, this is kind of an opal, really light sparkle.
04:43 Get excess out into the lid, and just blend that all over. And that's just a little sparkle.
04:53 And they can do that on the insides, and they can even blend it out here for a little sparkle
05:00 and highlight. So Dreamy is a great color to do that with. I also really love Down to
05:07 Earth tone, which is a kind of brown, coppery tone. And then there's Romantic too, which
05:15 is a really soft shade as well. I'm just doing one eye, because this is going to look funny.
05:21 Then just coat your lashes with mascara. And I'm doing one eye. Quick coat of the lashes.
05:34 This is our black. Beautiful. And then on top of that, I would just do gloss! Gotta
05:48 have the gloss, especially for teens. And there's five beautiful shades. This one is
05:57 Sweet Dreams, it's kind of an opal pink. It smells like vanilla. So your teens will love
06:06 that. And you can put on a little blush if you want to, but the Mineral Foundation, the
06:12 powder, will actually give you a nice little color if you put it all on, so you don't need
06:17 to worry too much about blush. And you just have super simple, kind of must-haves, you
06:25 don't go overboard. But allow them to experiment and kind of have fun with it. And they'll
06:32 really get a feel for makeup and...this is really bright on me...makeup and what they
06:38 like to wear, and just allow them to kind of be unique and be themselves and play around.
06:45 And you can learn too. And just have fun together. So, hope you enjoyed these tips for your teens.
06:53 Good luck! We'll talk to you soon.
