WATCH: Children living under the care of Gentle Hands Inc., are seen hugging social workers, saying their tearful goodbyes after the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) issued a cease and desist order against the orphanage on Tuesday, May 23.

This was after the DSWD received a complaint that the orphanage was violating Republic Act No. 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination.

The orphanage was ordered to be closed immediately after an investigation. The affected children were taken to two different orphanages, one in Mandaluyong City and the other in Quezon City. (MB Video by Mark Balmores)
