00:00 Hi guys and welcome back to my channel. Now I actually filmed this look like 2 months ago and kind of forgot about it.
00:07 So I hope you guys don't mind that it's kind of random that I'm uploading it.
00:12 Especially because it's definitely not bright and colorful like everyone else's tutorials at the moment.
00:17 I did post this grungy look on my Instagram and you guys really wanted to see it. So here it is.
00:26 First I'm priming my face with the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Cream. I know I usually like to do my eyes first but today, I don't know.
00:34 I just felt like doing my base first. Shake things up a little I guess.
00:38 So I'm just working this in all over my face with my fingers.
00:44 Then I'm taking the MAC Studio Fix Fluid and I should probably clean this.
00:49 This is the foundation I'm using today and I'm just going to buff this in using a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
00:56 Now for concealer, I'm using the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade Light.
01:04 I'm just putting this on under my eyes to hide my dark circles.
01:08 And yeah, I'm not really using this lightly at all.
01:12 I'm only putting this on under my eyes though. I'm not really highlighting with it because usually you don't really see much of a highlight going on with grunge makeup.
01:21 Then I'm going to set my face to stop anything from creasing and to make my foundation look matte.
01:31 And for that I'm going to use the Makeup Forever HD Powder.
01:38 Next I'm going to grab Hoola by Benefit Cosmetics and I'm lightly contouring my cheekbones and jawline with this.
01:45 This is just going to add a bit of colour and dimension back into our face so we don't look completely flat.
01:51 Then I'm going to add a teeny tiny bit of the Heavenly Blush by Sigma.
02:02 Now moving on to eyebrows, I'm using the Anastasia Browers Pencil in the shade Ebony today.
02:08 And I love this stuff! Well, let's get real for a second here. All of her stuff is freaking amazing.
02:17 I've used her pomades, powders and pencils and I highly, highly recommend them.
02:23 They are seriously the best brow products I've ever used. And I'm not just saying that, they are actually amazing.
02:30 So once they're filled in, I like to brush through them with the little spoolie end just to blend out any gaps there might be.
02:37 And as usual, I'm going to set them with the Anastasia Brow Gel.
02:41 Next for our eyes, I'm going to quickly prime them with the MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot just to hide any discolouration as well as create a base for our eyeshadow.
02:51 Then I'm going to go in with Latte by Makeup Geek on a Sigma E35 brush and I'm just going to blend this into my crease as our transition shade.
03:01 Then I'm going to take this Jumbo Pencil by NYX in the colour Milk and I'm just going to smudge this all over my mobile lid.
03:12 The white from this is really going to make our eyeshadow colours stand out as you're going to see in a moment.
03:18 And because this is a grunge look, you really don't need to be too neat with this.
03:22 Then I'm just going to take a pencil brush and I'm going to blend out that white pencil.
03:31 Oh and try not to get this in your eyelashes though, trust me, it's a pain to get it out once it's in there.
03:40 Next I'm grabbing this eyeshadow by Anastasia Beverly Hills, I believe it's in the shade Rosette.
03:47 And I'm just going to pack this colour on all over where we put that white eye pencil using a flat shader brush.
03:53 And as you guys can see, that Rosette colour looks way more vibrant because of that white base.
04:00 And still with Rosette, I'm going to take a bit on a blender brush and I'm just going to work this colour up into my crease.
04:08 Then you want to take a clean blending brush and blend everything out with this.
04:15 Make sure that you guys take the time to check that it's all blended because seriously guys, it is so worth it in the end.
04:23 So because I've already done my base, I'm going to do my lower lash line now too.
04:31 Woohoo! Oh, don't poke yourself in the eye, that is not part of the tutorial.
04:37 I'm taking more of Rosette, this time on a pencil brush and I'm smudging that under my eyelashes until I get to about my tear duct.
04:45 Next I'm taking Mocha by Makeup Geek and I'm applying this to the inner and outer corners of my lid and also up into my crease a little for that kind of halo effect.
04:56 Then I'm also going to add a little bit of it onto the outer corners of my lower lash line as well.
05:03 Then I'm taking a bit of Mocha on a blending brush and using it to blend out Rosette in my crease.
05:10 But if you don't want this look to be that dark, you can always just use your transition colour again instead.
05:16 Then to highlight under my brow, I'm just going to take the Vanilla eyeshadow by MAC.
05:21 Then I'm going to take a matte black eyeshadow on a liner brush and I'm just going to smudge this into my top and bottom lash lines to add more definition to my eyes and also make my lashes look fuller.
05:40 And then I'm going to take another pencil brush and use this to blend out my lower lash line so it's nice and smoky.
05:50 Now I feel like this step is kind of an unwritten law in the land of grunge makeup.
05:56 So I'm taking a black gold pencil and using it to line my waterline and tightline.
06:01 Next I'm going to apply some of the Jordana volumizing mascara and I'm going to be wearing falsies with this but obviously that is completely optional.
06:14 No false eyelashes aren't your typical grunge look but my eyelashes are tiny so I'm going to wear them.
06:21 Now all we have to do is our lips. So I'm going to start off by lining and filling them in with the Rimmel lip liner in the shade Terra Mysteria.
06:31 Then for lipstick I'm using Buttercup by Gerard Cosmetics and I'm pretty obsessed with this lip combination.
06:38 It's just like a really nice kind of brownie nude colour.
06:43 So this is the final look. I think it's definitely more of a traditional grunge look than other tutorials around.
