Disney has announced that it will begin offering Hulu content via its Disney+ platform by the end of the year, as part of the entertainment company’s efforts to boost its streaming business to profitability. Disney’s major streaming platforms, including ESPN+ and Hulu, will still be available as standalone options. Disney’s CEO, Robert Iger, has said that the one-app offering would provide greater opportunities for advertisers and make navigating Disney’s content libraries easier for consumers. The move comes as Disney has announced that it has reduced its streaming business losses in the latest quarter, largely the result of price increases for Disney+.
